I'm really not sure how to rate this review. I love Zara and was happy when I stopped in today until I ended up dealing with an associate from hell. Now that I think about it, the situation that happened today in this store actually happened recently at the North Park location so I need to update that review. And it all has to do with self checkout. So everything started out great. The store was well stocked with pieces that i previously viewed online. So I'm browsing and piling items across my arm and was really happy when I found a pair of gold mules in my size that I've been searching for all summer. Issue one - while browsing the clothing racks for my size - an associate who was returning items to stock - never said hi which is fine and not the issue but the issue is when I'm sliding clothes to the left and she comes up pushing the clothes towards me in an effort to return items from the dressing room. I get it, it's late, you're trying to clear the store. But have a little decency and say excuse me - let me slide this in here OR how about go to another piece of clothing and put that back since you see ME actively browsing and it's going to kill you to say excuse me. Issue two: I despise the whole self check out so I tried to avoid it by going to the counter since the store was basically empty but no one ever came to assist. There was one associate doing a return but the customer had a huge bag full of items that they needed to sort through for online purchase vs in store purchases. So with that being said I went to the self check out. (I'm adding specific details here that tie info the biggest issue - because I plan to follow up with corporate regarding this entire situation - so I hope management is reading). So back to issue two. I made my way to self check out - placed the items in the bin, paid for the items - removed the hangers - attempted to remove the sensors which were not coming off for me. So I motioned for assistance. Worker one passes me and I had to basically flag her down for assistance. Even though I clearly looked like I could use some help, had pressed the help button and was asking for help. So she comes over and her first question ' you paid' ?? YES, so she starts removing the items and she gets to a dress that didn't have a tag, we're standing side by side and I said to her 'this dress doesn't have a tag, will there be a problem if I need to return it?' Crickets....i asked her again, she said mmm hmm. So at that point I realized she didn't speak English. So again I turned to the cashier area and asked, is there anyone that can assist that speaks English? The lady yells from the register which is 10 feet away NO it won't be a problem. So my whole point in that is - if they knew the lady didn't speak English and you all clearly heard me then why did it take me asking 3 times to get a response. So at this point I'm irritated. The sensors were removed, and now it's time for me ELLE the customer to bag my items. I've already done everything else....and this should have been the last task for me, the customer to handle - SMH. So I proceeded to the exit and guess what - the alarm sounds. So me being the inexperienced checker that I am, I may have overlooked something. But remember, I had assistance from the non English speaking associate. I went back to the counter and a lady in a red dress with black hair was counting the cash from register so she motioned for the associate with the French braids to assist. I explained the issue - the response I got was totally out of line. This nut said - no one told you to go over to self check out. I said ma'am I waited here and decided to go there when no one came to assist. Then I heard you tell the next customer that approached the counter to go to self check out too. So it's something you definitely encourage so this lady does a ghetto neck move and bucked her eyes. Keep in mind, this is the lady with the French braids so it was very surprising to see the attitude and the gestures. My response was - the self check out is not the issue at hand. The sensors are. So let's focus on the that. She does another eye buck and I explained to her verbatim - I'm not about to go back and fourth with you and i really advise you to go find someone else to play with. Also advised her that 'this is not what you want' so she's steady bucking her eyes, red dress tells her to go on and she doesn't need to go back and forth and at this point red dress assisted me. She checked the items, told me everything was fine - but guess what, I made it out of Zara and the sensors at Nordstrom went off when I entered and when I exited Nordstrom. I simply cannot believe the way this young lady handled this situation. I hope that others can understand what happened here. I am really still in disbelief that this associate wanted or at least tried to go there with me on this lovely Tuesday evening.

I'm giving this store one star because I'm unable to give it a negative ZERO!! Came on a buisness trip and needed to buy some suits at my favorite store Zara, however I left everything behind due to the lack of assistance, NO EMPLOYEE HERE SMILES NOR DO THEY GREET YOU HERE. It's so sad to know that this type of service is at one of the largest malls in Dallas Texas. The lines here are super long only one register open with a huge line of people waiting. Mind you the mall was not almost empty I couldn't believe it. I hope that with this review you make changes and please train your staff. They should make clients feel welcomed, I'm not asking for a hand shake but at-least an acknowledgement of some sort. Unfortunately I won't be coming back but I hope that you make changes. From a very sad client I WILL ALWAYS LOVE ZARA BUT THIS LOCATION IS THE WORST!

Zara provided the worst customer service I have ever received. I ordered a pair of boots, tried them on, walked around my room, and realized they were way too big. I immediately packaged them back up and returned them for a smaller size. The replacement fit perfectly but I then received an email notifying me that I was charged for BOTH pair of boots because they didn't receive them in time. But that was a flat out LIE because they were delivered back to their warehouse on Dec. 2nd. The employee I spoke with on the phone agreed that that was a lie and the real reason was that they were worn and had dirt on the bottom. But that can't possibly be true because I only took a few steps in my bedroom. The whole situation was very FISHY and it seems like they are using any reason possible to charge me twice (equaling $300). When I brought up my suspicion on the phone, I was immediately hung up on.

One story. Wasn't much variety to choose from as what I'm accustomed to. Sales rep were always available and willing to assist.

I have been shopping at this place since they opened a couple of years ago…read more I would shop there a couple of times a year but always had the same issue every time I'm not sure who they had purchasing the in coming clothes from the sellers but who ever it was they had some really bad taste in the buys. Even my sister has said the same thing every time. when we would leave the store "there is some really ugly stuff in that store". Which is out opinion BUT... Today was a whole different experience I found a lot of cute clothes this time around spent almost $200 and got a lot of items that I'm really happy with Thank god they fired the old purchasing employee I'm not sure if that's what happened but the store was full of cute items this and I will be going back soon to finish what I started. ( I still had 2 more rows to dig through. lol I ran out of time to shop today Also a couple of years ago I went through my closet and gathered up alit of cute designer clothes and a lot of shoes (almost 60 pairs of shoes ). Most of them were brand new never been worn I was alittle disappointed on the girl only picking a couple of shirts and 3 pairs of Nike tennis shoes from my pile. So I was detetemed not to bring all that back to my closet so I dropped all the remaining things off at goodwill down the street. They were VERY happy for the donation I was in disbelief she didn't buy anything else from my pile But oh well I at least got a tax write off from goodwill

Of course style is subjective & experience will vary, but here's my thoughts: - It's been quick & easy to sell, but they keep offering store credit only. There's no way to know this unless you call ahead or show up. - I found 2 pairs of shorts and 1 pair of jeans that I like. - Lots of old, dingy graphic tees and shoes (thrift store level). Not anything I would want to purchase over $5. - Small section of larger sizes (XL+). I go back every few weeks and often see the same thing - not much new. - I wish they had baskets or something to shop with. - Styles feel like they're for an older demographic. I probably won't return once I use my credit.

I was on my way up to Plano yesterday for a happy hour at Ringo's and I hated what I was wearing. I needed a new shirt ASAP and I only had 10 minutes to find one. A girlfriend recommended Melanie Gayle and I went in with the real expectation that I just may not find something I like. I was wrong! Way wrong! The two girls working were entirely too sweet and super duper helpful. I told them of my dilemma, and they started pulling shirts left and right and throwing them into the cute changing room. I tried on about 8 different shirts - and I'm not even kidding - I wanted to buy all 8 of them. I've *never* found stuff like this in other boutiques! They carried dresses, pants, skirts, party tops and all kinds of other things. I think I spotted accessories somewhere, but I was in such a rush I didn't really take time to notice them. And the best part? I got 15% off if I spent less than $100, and 20% if I spent $100 plus. Now I'm no mathematician and I *know* that's just a marketing ploy to get you to spend more, but it just so happened that I couldn't decide between two shirts so I bought them both. So I got my 20%. I promptly changed into the new shirt while one of the girls rang me up - all I did was run up and sign the receipt and everything was already wrapped up nicely to go, including my old shirt. Thank goodness there's another location in Snider Plaza that I'll be visiting frequently, because I would so be going to Plano more often for Melanie Gayle.

The staff was a joy to work with and the checks I received for items sold was certainly worth it. NOT ANYMORE. I took a basket full of items recently and a separate bag of wooden hangers so I could hang them up before presenting them for review. As I walked through the door, I was first chastised for not having them on hangers (I should have walked out immediately), but instead pointed out that I had a bag with hangers and was going to put them on hangers for her to go through the clothes. I was by myself and it made it easier for me to carry in the basket, then the hangers. With a cursory glance at the first three items, she rejected the entire lot of designer labels. ReThreads is not the same- at all. It is unfortunate. It was once a great destination to sell and shop. I don't know if it changed ownership, but the former staff is what created returning customers. Few of the longtime employees remaining truly understand what has made Clothes Horse a Dallas institution. They greet customers, offer assistance, acknowledge people when they enter, and create the kind of upscale shopping experience that keeps customers returning to this gem of a store. Unfortunately, some of the newer employees don't seem to share that same customer-service mindset. The atmosphere feels different, and some of the attention to customers that once set the store apart appears to be fading. With that said, my loyalty to Clotheshorse runs deep, and I continue to have great respect for the manager and the few longtime sales associates.
