I can't believe it took me so long to find this place. This is now one of our go to places for pasta and pizza. Staff is so friendly. We ate inside towards the front but it seems like they have a dining room in the back. The food was very good. We stopped in to grab a quick slice and I tried the rice ball a few weeks ago and went back a couple times just for that. We finally tried actual meals last night. AMAZING. The penne alla vodka is some of the best I've ever had. Chicken cutlets were so crispy and made perfectly. My family tried the veal Sorrentino and another lemon type pasta dish. All so good. Absolutely wonderful experience tonight! My wife and I enjoyed the Chicken Night special that included soup or salad with a wide variety of delicious choices for entree. The Picata was plentiful and delicious and the chicken parm with vodka sauce and hot cherry peppers was sublime. Tremendous portions that include warm and fresh garlic knots and a cannoli with coffee or tea to finish. The restaurant could not be more hometown with its cozy decor and local youth working hard with great attitudes. Highly recommended on any night. Great job, Frank! read more

What a gem! Invited to my Auntie Grace's 85th birthday party ! We had an awesome time with family and friends. Perfect party room for a luncheon and opens for early evening restaurant dinning. First I must commended the amazing staff from start to finish. Very welcoming, hard working and served with a smile. The owner must be very proud of them and what an asset they are to this flourishing restaurant. The food is so delicious!! To start you must order the garlic knots. Salad was crisp and fresh. The baked mushrooms were perfectly seasoned. My hub was so pleased with his eggplant rollatini and I would order my Chicken Pisccata again and again if I was to return. Our favorite Italian restaurant! Everything on the menu is delicious! The salad with Frankie's house dressing is the best! You can add grilled chicken or shrimp to make it a meal. We love many things but our favorites are... chicken francese, Penne Rustica with chicken, seafood fra diavolo, lasagna or penne a la vodka. We truly enjoy everything here! This place is phenomenal. I was blown away throughout the entire meal. Starting with the bread, it was unbelievably delicious. The house salad was unlike anything I've ever had. The homemade dressing was divine. I had chicken parmigiana and my wife had lasagna. Both were extremely delicious. Plus, we ended up with a whole helping leftover. 6/15/2016 Solid dinner, great bargain, super friendly staff. I was in the area and decided in Francesco's based upon Yelp reviews and decided to stop in. It was a Wednesday and I got a daily chicken special that included bread, salad, coffee and a Mini cannoli. First off, My waitress Jackie was great! She helped describe a lot of the dishes to me and was super attentive and friendly. First was bread and salad. Both the roll and garlic knot were fresh baked but I found the toll to be hard and tasted ehhh. Garlic knot was spot on! Salad was way over dressed for me, but still edible. Good bit of tomato and pepperocini. Being a lone diner, I wasn't served family style salad but Jackie had no problem bringing me seconds. For dinner I got the chicken balsamic. Chicken cutlet with prosciutto, mozzarella, hot cherry peppers, green peppers and spinach with a balsamic glaze. I opted outta pasta and had a side of broccoli. The actual meal was phenomenal other than the amount and type of sauce. It was just ways tooo saucy. And the sauce didn't remind me at all of a balsamic glaze, but was more of a brown beef gravy. Kinda gross to be honest. Beneath this slime however lied a really good chicken dish with some awesome spicy flavors thanks to the cherry pepper. Other than the terrible sauce I really like it! And the broccoli had lots of garlic and was really good. I left super stuffed and all for $13-14 plus tip. took the mini cannoli to go and ate it a few hours later. Quite good. I'm kinda undesired overall but I would like to think I'll give Francesco's another visit. read more

Just ordered chicken parm hero and chicken quality is terrible, it's sliced chicken that's from a can and the hero bread is burnt. See pic below for this terrible monstrosity. Oh yes! We were going to be in the area so we decided to eat at Francescos because it was convenient. Made a reservation for 6PM. Turned out to be superb. The herb olive oil with the bread and garlic knots was great, the salad was great, the main dishes were great. I loved my Chicken Picata with angle hair pasta. The family dining are decorated with really cool olive oil bottles was very friendly. Highly recommend this place for all italian food in their big and varied menu. read more

Awful.. I regret writing this because I've had many good experiences here but my recent takeout was terrible.. two slices 6 knots and penne ala vodka w shrimp. We go to pick up the order. "They ran out of garlic knots" how does a pizza place run out of garlic knots which are made from pizza dough.. secondly they replaced them with pepperoni bites which were cold and tasted like they were sitting out or in refrigeration. Lastly my shrimp was over cooked and tough just wasn't good for the price paid. So disappointed.. read more

Been coming to this East Islip pizzeria/ restaurant for years and it never disappoints. They serve a nice variety of pasta, meat and seafood dishes. Dinners are served with warm bread and garlic knots and a family style salad. Usually order the chicken Marsala which is tasty with a nice side of penne. Equally good was the shrimp scampi. On various nights of the week, the restaurant features specials. Wednesday is pasta night, Thursday is shrimp night etc... Service is always attentive and friendly and prices, though reasonable, continue to go up a bit but the quality and quantity make up for it. A very good choice to come for dinner. This place is a total hole in the wall, but it has bar-none the best pizza on long Island. I stumbled upon this place many years ago driving around with a friend of mine, and a recent visit proved it wasn't just fond memories. This pizza is DAMNED good.
