My husband and I were looking for a pizza spot in the area during the latter part of the evening and found our way to Isabella's Pizza. We were cutting it close to closing time, but tried our luck anyways. There were two people working at the time, maybe the owner and his son. They were both so friendly and kind upon us walking in. They greeted us as if they had just opened for the day. They still had several pies out for us to select from, along with other miscellaneous items to add to our order. We were pretty hungry and ordered a bunch of items. Again, both guys were very kind and treated our order with care. They also had no problem with us eating our food inside and never made us feel rushed even though it was nearly their closing time. The service alone was standout and 5-stars. Isabella's Pizza is located in a small strip of shops. They have free parking shared among the businesses. The establishment has several tables and chairs if you'd like to dine in. Their menu offers a variety of items and, even though we came in so late, they had a diverse spread of pies to order some slices. As noted above, we came in pretty hungry and ordered several items to share. These included: - arancinis - plain slice - chicken parm roll - stuffed knots (spinach and pepperoni) - garlic knots Everything was really tasty. Portions were perfect and the price was just right. Definitely a solid find for us in the area! We would definitely return in the future and would ideally look to stop in during the day to really see their full spread and offerings. read more

I came here today and picked up an eggplant parm hero during my lunch break. My mom has come here many times and always raves about the eggplant. I have had it at her house when we got take out one time a while back. I called ahead and it was prepared quickly. I got there a little early and chatted with Nelson at the counter while waiting. I used to work at this spot MANY years ago when it was under different ownership. We chatted about how it used to look, how long ago it was, and how the place looks so different now, in a good way of course. Friendly service, nice updated decor. Everything appeared clean. Much nicer than when I used to work here (20+years ago.... yikes!). The showcase was fully stocked. The hero was as good as I remembered it from my mom's. I love how the eggplant is not breaded with breadcrumbs. It tastes fresh and tender and you can really get the flavor of the eggplant. The tomato sauce is perfect. Not too much cheese. Even the bread was light and airy. It didn't feel heavy. I ate the whole thing, but didn't feel disgusting after. This was a huge surprise as this was a little pizzeria in East Islip my hometown. I am looking for the best pizza on Long Island and skipped this restaurant originally but my Grandson had a baseball game nearby and decided to give it a go after the game. The bread they gave me was not just Italian bread but a soft, delicious focaccia. Prices are a bit lower than other Italian restaurants I've gone to since Covid inflation hit. I have been to Isabella's many times and have never been disappointed . Just back from picking up their delicious eggplant parmigiana entree with linguine. I love eggplant! Omg so, so good! The portion size is enormous and more than plenty for two. If you are having other foods along with it three people can enjoy this. The eggplant is not fried in breadcrumbs so it's not at all greasy. The sauce is perfect, nice and light . I know we have a lot of local pizza places in the area to choose from but this restaurant is worth a try ! read more

For a small hole in wall place, they have the best Italian food around. We have eaten their food for years, never had a bad meal ever.

This place is great! The food is always hot & fresh! I love the Rigatoni Bolognese (but, I get it with Angel Hair!). They are very accommodating, excellent customer service! The salads are big & packed! Their pizza is excellent with lots of different choices. My favorites are Chicken Parm, Grandma & the Taco pizza! I also absolutely love their Burgers! We've been living around here for about 2.5 years and we just recently discovered Isabella's thanks to a Facebook group. While living during this pandemic, we decided to give them a try (three times!) and every time has been delicious. So far we have gotten the California wrap, Italian hero, the Chicken Bruschetta wrap,a small regular pie, the antipasto salad, calzone and baked ziti dish. We ordered a Chicken Bacon Ranch pizza pie and it was literally A-MAZING! Seriously one of the best pizzas I've ever had. We ordered 2 half trays from Isabella's for Xmas eve. Picking up the food was seamless, quick and easy. The drive home was difficult, it just smelled so good. The chicken piccata was delicious, and the meatballs were really good in a yummy red sauce. They had a holiday special - order 2 half trays and get 1 half tray of pasta for free. It's a great deal!! We had the penne alla vodka and that was really good too. Plus they gave a tray of garlic bread that I couldn't stop eating. Highly recommend for catering. From the outside, this looks like your typical Long Island pizza place, and from the inside not much is different. But the pizza was killer. The staff was super sweet. Got the port pear salad with grilled chicken added. the only plus to this salad was that it was HUGE! Not enough greens too much goat cheese the menu said candied nuts in the salad... they were not candied and the chicken was cut in thick bulky squares which made it difficult to enjoy. raspberry dressing was to thick to mix into the salad well enough for the dressing to get to every part of the salad. would not get this particular salad again. Being new to the area we thought we would try take out from Isabella's. We called in our pizza order and it was ready on time.The person taking our order was friendly and professional. When we got our pizza home it was half olives and half pepperoni but the entire pizza was quite greasy with a thin, harder crust and was quite salty. I am from Buffalo, NY where our pizza is a thick dough with lots of Italian tomato sauce and a softer crust. I thought it was OK, but will try other places in the future just for comparison. Perhaps next time we will try some of the other foods they offer. read more

Great pizza spot. Working in Islip terrace this is a fantastic pizza alternative to Mary's. The buffalo chicken pizza is above average with tasty hunks of chicken. The regular slice is perfectly thin and topped off with a generous amount of cheese making it a super satisfying and filling slice. Unlike other local spots I think they also deliver which is huge.
