Ordered pizza and wings for a school party. Set a delivery time for 2 pm when I ordered around 10 am. Ordered 4 pizzas a 5 dozen wings. School ends at 2 pm which is when we started the party. No pizza. 2:10 pm we call and staff says, "It's the holidays" and states delivery is on its way. Delivery finally arrives at 2:30 pm. The driver says, "I'm just the driver" when confronted with the late delivery. Also, there were 2 paper plates included with the order. I called to express my displeasure with the late arrival of the order since we had to clean up and finish the meeting around 2:45 - 2:50 pm. I was told by one person they would make it up to me 'on a future order'. I was then passed to a 'manager' who when I expressed my displeasure of having late food delivery and no paper plates that a manager would speak to me the next day. I said I expected a phone call from the manager to discuss the issue. I was told, "That's not how it works" The students were ok with the pizza but the wings had to be the smallest wings any of us have ever seen. They were half the size of what we expected. Students were ok with them, but not overly impressed. Final verdict: Food was 'aigh't' in the words of the students. Delivery time was not acceptable. Concern from the staff was non-evident. Next time we have a party will take our business elsewhere. read more

We came here to grab a couple of slices late because we had just gotten in after a long flight and we're heading to our hotel. The staff were super friendly! He told us what each of the various kinds of pizza were and they had some interesting pizzas. We went with the classic Sicilian and then something I think they called a Brooklyn slice? They were both very, very tasty!! I wish we had more space to try some of the other things. It's not a place you come for the ambiance but it's clean and fine. Most of the staff is very nice, except for one guy with glasses who is consistently rude and has screwed up my order more than once. I was coming here because it's convenient to my office. Not anymore. The last few times I've ordered over the phone, my order was wrong (thanks guy with glasses), not ready on time, and just plain awful. Like, really bad. I ordered baked ziti; it had about a tablespoon of sauce on top, not mixed in. Basically dry pasta with a tiny amount of cheese. I ordered it again hoping it was a mistake, and specifically asked for extra sauce. The receipt even says "extra sauce". Same thing. It looks like they stirred a spoon from the sauce pot in the pasta to coat it and that's it. The food is pretty much inedible. I wouldn't even feed it to my dog. And if I tried I doubt she'd eat it. Probably the only reason they're in business is because there's no where else to eat in the area besides Panera. read more

Uber eats date: December 31, 2022 I probably spent too much money on uber eats deliveries in one night but I was staying by myself in a hotel with my son for a mini new years eve vacation and I don't like McDonald's so after I ordered my son some nuggets I found an eggplant hero from La Slice. I also got my son a few drink options he's 6 so they were just different soda options and an iced tea. I don't know if it was supposed to be an eggplant parm hero or an eggplant hero that I ordered. If it was the eggplant hero that is my fault if it was supposed to be an eggplant parm hero it could have used a heck of a lot more cheese. Besides being mildly upset about the lack of cheese which may or may not have been my fault the hero was decent and I had half for dinner and half for lunch the next day. read more

It's literally backed up to my truck yard. So super convenient to grab something after work & keep it moving. Completely renovated, they upped the ante by adding Spanish Food & Jamaican Patties in addition to the regular pizzeria menu. I will admit I was a bit skeptical because of the hodge podge of so many different dishes. Buuuuuut this last visit opened my mind & proved to me they could do all dishes well. Bravo La Slice! I'm shocked I haven't reviewed this place sooner. The service is friendly and accommodating every single time. The food is on point and perfect every time I've been there. The atmosphere is upbeat and fun. This is not a quiet place. Music is usually playing and their food and service draws a crowd. Good things usually do, so keep that in mind! They have huge slices, specialty slices, and a gigantic case of hot dishes to choose from. I personally have not tried the the stuff in the case, but every time I come I swear I will the next time I'm there. It looks so good!!! I love their salads, and their grandma slices and garlic knots. There is something about the chicken on the Caesar salad slice. It's out of this world. I have never had chicken that's seasoned better. Trust me when I tell you, it's delicious. Not dry, not hard. It's juicy and perfect. I always have to get an extra side of their home made dressing too. It's so good! The guys that run this place are so friendly and chill. They have booths and tables for seating, as well as some high top seating along the windows. I believe they have seating outside in the nicer weather as well. I found this pizzeria and called them to see if they could deliver to me since I'm in Sayville I wasn't sure if it would be too far considering they're in islandia. Got vodka rigatoni, my boyfriend got vodka angel hair. Both came with a side salad, bread and desert. The pasta was very good, saucy, and worth the money. The salad was also delicious and had a very good Italian dressing. The bread was bland- was hoping it was garlic bread but it was just regular bread, but my boyfriend enjoyed it with his pasta. Now to the desert.... I chose a cannoli and let's say... i don't think you could call it that. The filling is pasty, chalky, not good flavor, and runny. The crust itself is fine but I think something went wrong while making it. The cheesecake was fine though. For 12.00 it's a good deal, just the cannoli needs improvement. Stopped by this pizzeria for a quick bite to eat after my boyfriend got an MRI next door. They offer a nice selection of pizza pie flavors but the taste just wasn't there. I ordered a buffalo chicken slice and a regular slice. The buffalo chicken was too heavy on the cheese and there wasn't even enough sauce on it. I did enjoy the taste of the chicken but it left a lot to be desired overall. The regular slice was simply meh, I could barely get any flavor out of it at all. The place itself is cute, they have a small counter and a good amount of tables inside where you can sit and eat. Nice staff as well! read more

Here's the Scoop: Stopped in for a quick bite while shipping out some orders and got a regular slice. Sat in a booth. Lighting for the afternoon was low. The service was friendly. The slice was tasty and a nice size. There were several choices in the display case but I felt like a regular. Crust perfect crunch and sauce not too acidy. I enjoyed my slice and it hit the spot. This place was recommended by the front desk at the hotel where we stayed in Islandia. She said they had a special on Monday nights where you get an entree, salad and dessert. We walked over and found it in the shopping center. At first glance, it doesn't look like much. Small dining area and looks like mostly take out pizza. The hot food bar looks a little scary, but we asked if they made food to order? They said they make everything on the menu to order. The folks working there were super friendly. We ordered the fettucine alfredo and baked ziti. They came with salads, cheesecake and hot bread. The portions were enormous and we could not eat all the food we got. Don't Bother, Walk Away!!! We ordered over 45 pizzas and sodas for a in-work luncheon The pizzas were delivered 30 minutes late, when we got them, they were barely warm. LaSlice didn't provide enough soda for all the employees -(delivered 3 bottles of soda for over 150 employees) after complaining they delivered the soda after the luncheon was over. Needless to say my boss wasn't impressed. No one enjoyed the pizza (probably because it was cold) and then to add insult to injury - they had nothing to wash it down. It was filled with baby clams, ricotta, mozzarella and garlic. I've been calling around and asking restaurants and pizzerias if they would make one on request. The answer over and over again is usually, NO. The answer took awhile, in fact the kind young gentleman that answered the phone had go go back and check.... In the process we were disconnected and I figured that that was that.... Nope. He called me back! And added that they'd be happy to give it a shot and throw together such a combination. About 20 minutes later, I drove over and they were just taking it out of the oven. Now they could have spread the ingredients around a little better before sealing this up; but, this was delicious!
