This review is for the pizza buffet only... My last review of this establishment was two years ago. It's time to update to warn others that the quality is not the same as it was then. Back then they had a larger variety of toppings and more cheese on the pizza. Isn't that what we eat pizza for? To confirm the difference you can look at the photos I posted two years ago versus the current photos that Yelpers are posting. I actually looked forward to returning today. But after the meal, decided that it was a waste of money. My suggestion instead of cheaping out would be to raise the price $.50, $1 or $1.50 to cover the cost of "better" toppings. You lower your quality and people will not return. We paid $20 for several small slices of very mediocre pizza and a small picture of soda. No plans to return here. Most of the "better" reviews for the buffet are two years old. They used to put out specially pizzas and take requests. They no longer do that. Boo for the no refills on soda! They do have a decent crust. Now all they have to do is top that crust with decent toppings and more cheese. read more

This is one of our favorite pizza places. We do the buffet at least once a week. When you grab a fresh slice the crust is incredible. The salad bar is fresh and they have tapioca for desert. The dining area is a little dated but the friendly staff keeps thing clean and tidy. When the garlic breadsticks are fresh they often walk around the dining room and offer them up. read more

This review is for the customer service only. Called Franco's because we're always looking for a good pizza place. A woman answered the phone, and everything was going fine until I asked for extra sauce on the pizza. I have never in my life had a pizza place tell me they will have to charge extra sauce as an additional item. I was a bit taken aback and asked, "you want to charge sauce as an extra item?" To which she replied, "yes, is that ok?" I said, "no it is not ok, it is just sauce and shouldn't cost as much as an additional item." I mean come on, its tomatoes, water and, maybe some spices. To further clarify I asked if she would reconsider on the charge for sauce, and she let me know that she would not. So, you would rather lose my business on this order of $20+ and all of my business in the future. She said, "yes." I do not know if she is the manager or the owner, but she is well within her right to charge what she wants for her pizza. However, if a practice is going to cost a company business then maybe it should be re-thought. Pennies worth of sauce compared to a lifetime of business, which could be thousands of dollars is not a good trade off. Franco's, you can keep your sauce and I will spend my money elsewhere. read more

This pizzeria makes delicious, piping hot pizza. We ordered a pepperoni pizza that was made to perfection. It had the perfect amount of pepperoni, cheese and sauce. I loved that the crust was thin. My picky brother-in-law gave this place a big thumbs up. Their prices are very inexpensive and the friendly family atmosphere makes this pizza joint a favorite in my book of places to eat. This place is extremely clean and the employees are all so friendly and helpful. It is a family owned business. If you haven't tried this place, just do it. ;) read more

Family of 6 and we all ate under $50. That's only a few $$ more than some fast food places. It was really great. The ladies were nice, the pizza was yummy and the price was right. Wish the salad bar had a little more when it came to toppings and they had given a plate so you wouldn't have to mix things if you got fruit or potato salad with your green salad. Still not enough to take one star away. Only issue was a man who may or may not have been homeless came in and asked for change got pizza. He obviously saw we had a good amount left so we gave him 2 slices. He then asked us for soda. Lol. I was shocked. But whatever better than giving cash. At least he had a full belly. I saw no men working so assumed maybe the ladies were too scared to make him leave. He didn't bother us really, just was weird to see that inside the place. read more

I usually don't write reviews, but was very impressed with my pizza from Franco's last night. Our family of 5 can never seem to agree on which is best pizza in Lodi. I wanted to try something new, and based on the Yelp reviews, decided to try Franco's. It was a great choice. Very unassuming restaurant and location, but pizza is fantastic. Crisp crust with a perfect cooked dough. It had right amount of pizza sauce and toppings, all being fresh and flavorful. Excellent tasting pizza overall. Our whole family agreed. While visiting Lodi, I stopped by Franco's Pizza for dinner. The place was very open and had TV's for your viewing pleasure. Pizza was hot, fresh and tasty. They had beer on draft and it was cold. The place looked older but it was kept clean. I always saw staff cleaning and they were quick to clean tables. Staff was very very friendly and welcoming. Without a doubt, some of the best pizza I have ever had. The pizza tastes so fresh and you can tell they make it homemade. The crust is perfect and they load up plenty of toppings. Franco's is the best pizza place in town without a doubt! We are a family of 9 and usually spend a fortune trying to feed everyone. Franco's party size feeds our whole family and costs less than $40!! I spend more than that at Little Caesar's for poor quality pizza. Plus, they give us a free 2-liter of soda with the party size. Franco's crust is so fresh and perfectly baked. The toppings are generous and the cheese is real. Our pizza is always ready when we arrive and we never have to wait. Love their pizza - great chewy crust, fresh ingredients. You won't be disappointed. Their salad bar is one of the best, especially for the price. I've lived in Lodi my whole life and had never been to Franco's until tonight. My wife and I split a medium pizza and breadsticks (too much for us). We were both very pleasantly surprised. Both the breadsticks and pizza were excellent. We'll definitely be going back there. My only complaint is they don't have free refills on their soda which is inexcusable in my opinion. I may up this to a 5 star rating after we've been a few times because it was really good. read more
