This is one of our favorite pizza places. We do the buffet at least once a week. When you grab a fresh slice the crust is incredible. The salad bar is fresh and they have tapioca for desert. This review is for the customer service only. Called Franco's because we're always looking for a good pizza place. A woman answered the phone, and everything was going fine until I asked for extra sauce on the pizza. I have never in my life had a pizza place tell me they will have to charge extra sauce as an additional item. I was a bit taken aback and asked, "you want to charge sauce as an extra item?" To which she replied, "yes, is that ok?" I said, "no it is not ok, it is just sauce and shouldn't cost as much as an additional item." I mean come on, its tomatoes, water and, maybe some spices. To further clarify I asked if she would reconsider on the charge for sauce, and she let me know that she would not. So, you would rather lose my business on this order of $20+ and all of my business in the future. She said, "yes." I do not know if she is the manager or the owner, but she is well within her right to charge what she wants for her pizza. However, if a practice is going to cost a company business then maybe it should be re-thought. Pennies worth of sauce compared to a lifetime of business, which could be thousands of dollars is not a good trade off. Franco's, you can keep your sauce and I will spend my money elsewhere. read more

This pizzeria makes delicious, piping hot pizza. We ordered a pepperoni pizza that was made to perfection. It had the perfect amount of pepperoni, cheese and sauce. I loved that the crust was thin. My picky brother-in-law gave this place a big thumbs up. Their prices are very inexpensive and the friendly family atmosphere makes this pizza joint a favorite in my book of places to eat. I usually don't write reviews, but was very impressed with my pizza from Franco's last night. Our family of 5 can never seem to agree on which is best pizza in Lodi. I wanted to try something new, and based on the Yelp reviews, decided to try Franco's. It was a great choice. Very unassuming restaurant and location, but pizza is fantastic. Crisp crust with a perfect cooked dough. It had right amount of pizza sauce and toppings, all being fresh and flavorful. Excellent tasting pizza overall. Our whole family agreed. Without a doubt, some of the best pizza I have ever had. The pizza tastes so fresh and you can tell they make it homemade. The crust is perfect and they load up plenty of toppings. All at a very reasonable price. This place is my absolute go-to pizza in Lodi, although there are some really great options out there, this is my favorite. Franco's is the best pizza place in town without a doubt! We are a family of 9 and usually spend a fortune trying to feed everyone. Franco's party size feeds our whole family and costs less than $40!! I spend more than that at Little Caesar's for poor quality pizza. Plus, they give us a free 2-liter of soda with the party size. Franco's crust is so fresh and perfectly baked. The toppings are generous and the cheese is real. Our pizza is always ready when we arrive and we never have to wait. This place is a hidden gem! They've been in Lodi for years I didn't even know until I read a post about it on a Facebook group. We ordered it that very night. It's only been 4 days and we're ordering again tonight! I think I'm going to gain some serious pounds! Seriously tho, if you miss Capri Pizza then you'll LOVE this place. I've lived in Lodi my whole life and had never been to Franco's until tonight. My wife and I split a medium pizza and breadsticks (too much for us). We were both very pleasantly surprised. Both the breadsticks and pizza were excellent. We'll definitely be going back there. My only complaint is they don't have free refills on their soda which is inexcusable in my opinion. Four years since my last review, STILL the best pizza anywhere. I have one friend who lives in Tracy and one who lives in Yuba City and they both now insist on going here and getting pizza when they come to visit. If I'm not in the mood for pizza the girl from Tracy picks a to-go pizza up on her way home after visiting me. We call our orders in ahead of time (Franco's is on speed dial) and if there are only two people, a small pizza honestly suffices. Everything is high quality and they pile a lot on, so I can usually eat two pieces tops, but I wind up scrounging around the box looking for toppings that have been dropped. Even though I'm stuffed they are so tasty I can't leave them alone. I don't know much about the buffet; we order exactly what we want. And it's still only about $10 for a 2 person pizza. read more

Just had dinner at Franco's on a Saturday evening. First the bad... the decor is outdated (but clean) with several CRT type TVs going in the dining areas. That is the ONLY reason I am not going 5 stars. Everything else is good! Wife and I ordered a Lg combo and 1 trip salad bar. The salad bar is a little weak on selection, but EVERYTHING was fresh fresh fresh, best I have had at Pizza Parlor salad bars. Drinks were delivered to our table, followed later by the pizza. The pizza was really good, crust just right, good sauce balance, fresh ingredients (the combo has ham on it which is a little unusual). It seems the only cheese used is Mozzarella, so it is a tad stringy when hot. Staff came by our table several times to check on us and refill ice water. Restrooms are spotless though dated. They have an all you want to eat pizza and salad bar deal for $8 per person on Saturday nights (cheaper lunchtime and weeknights) that we will go back for. We saw 3 kinds of fresh pizza regularly restocked. We will go back for that sometime soon. read more
