I will never go here again. I got my ring resized but couldn't pick it up for weeks bc they kept closing early without notice. I even went w my hubby to pick out a piece together after work to pick out jewelry together but they were closed earlier than the posted hours. My ring stayed hostage for weeks and when I actually got to go pick it up bc it was finally open, he tried to overcharge me. Well deserved reviews! My wife was very, very happy with his work. Brought her engagement ring to be repaired per a bent prong. Frank was honest over the phone with me that depending on the nature of the bend that it may require additional gold to repair. Upon his inspection, he said that was not the case. Also brought in her wedding band for resizing along with a watch that needed a battery replaced. I took a charm bracelet and an earring to be repaired. The charm bracelet just needed a charm added & the jeweler told me that this would be $5. The earring was white gold with diamonds & one part had broken off. The jeweler said that that BOTH earrings should probably be repaired & he would add gold to each earring to make them stronger & he told me that it would be $60 for both earrings. He said that it would take him a couple of hours to complete. My earrings were repaired as promised & the charm bracelet was also fixed up as promised, on time. However, the total charge was $85, rather than the $65 quoted. And the jeweler talked on the phone throughout the payment process & continued even after I hung around the store to ask him about it. Eventually I gave up & left, but I don't think I will go back, just because I don't feel like he met my expectations regarding the price. read more

I was looking for a jeweler near my job and found Frank through Yelp-- I am so grateful that Yelp exists, because how else would I have found such a great guy?! I had not worked with a jeweler before and I wanted to find someone I could trust to not take advantage of my relative ignorance. I had some very old pieces of family jewelry that needed repair and I only had a ballpark idea of what they would cost to fix. Frank took his time looking at them and giving me options. Once I decided what I wanted to do, Frank gave me a very reasonable estimate (at least based on my rudimentary research) and told me he could get them all done within my hoped-for time frame (this was the week before Thanksgiving and I wanted to wear some of these pieces while I was with family the following week)- my lack of planning was no issue for Frank and he met my deadline easily. He even fixed one of the necklaces on the spot so I was able to wear it out! But what sticks out the most for me about my experience with Frank, came when I went to pick up my jewelry. I visited Frank early this summer to begin my search for an engagement ring. Frank was extremely patient with me, and very helpful. I must have visited Frank 3 or 4 times before I was close to making a decision, and at no point did he pressure me into making a purchase. Frank sat down with me and explained the 5 C's and why some diamonds cost more than other or why some are graded higher than others. He then proceeded to show me various different diamonds to show me the difference in each of the 5 C's, which as a visual person this was extremely helpful. By the time I made my decision I felt very comfortable, and I knew I was picking the perfect ring for my fiance and was getting the most for my money in my opinion. When it was time to deliver the ring, the finished product looked better than I had expected. Frank was amazing. I wanted a custom piece done, which is a design I've wanted for a while. It was nothing Frank had seen before, but he made it perfect. I brought him two necklaces I already owned because I wanted the piece to be the design of one while in the style of the other. He quoted me between $175 and $200 for the custom made pendant plus the chain for it (both sterling silver). I was happy with this price, and left both of my other necklaces with Frank so that he could custom make my piece. Usually, he makes a mold of a piece, but because mine was silver that would be intertwined (as in, made by hand) there would be no mold. It came out absolutely perfect! It was done within 10 days, and when I went to pick it up he had taken care of my other jewelry, and also made sure that the chain was the right length, offering to exchange it if I needed (I didn't). He also asked if the pendant is what I expected, and offered to make alterations if I wasn't satisfied (I was...very). I was surprised when my bill was exactly $175; he kept his word, and kept it on the low end. I absolutely appreciate his hard work and his loyalty to his word. My necklace is beautiful, and I get compliments on it often. It is a seamless piece, which is very impressive. Frank Michael might be the most useless business owner ever. My fiance got my engagement ring here, and we made an appointment to have it re-sized on a Saturday. When we showed up for said appointment, Frank was no where to be found. There is a front desk in the building where his shop is, so we asked the front desk man to call his personal line. Frank hadn't even left yet to come to the shop. It took him about another hour to actually show up. So that was strike one.. Somehow I was able to overlook this, and decided to get the matching wedding ring from Frank. I first used the email contact form on his website to attempt to make an appointment. No response. I happened to be taking a Friday off of work, so I thought, oh I'll just go in during regular hours. Google told me they opened at 9 AM.. so I headed over there and arrived around 10:26 AM. No one was there, the shop was dark and locked. Thinking maybe google was wrong, I called their number and the recording told me their hours were Mon-Fri 10:30 AM - 6:30 PM. Ok, so I'm 4 minutes early.. I'll come back. I went next door to CVS, shopped a bit, and came back at 10:40 AM. Still closed. no one is even there setting up. I hung around searching for the ring I wanted other places online (Frank's website says the hours are 10AM - 6:30 PM, btw) and left as soon as I found it (around 10:50 AM). Still no sign of anyone when I left. If Frank can't be bothered to actually show up for work, I'll buy my rings from someone who can. read more
