If in Georgetown you really need to eat here!! We arrived for a late lunch and it was packed! We were greeted right away and had about a 10 minute wait. We were seated on the deck outback with a wonderful water view. I think this might have been the best table in the restaurant! We started with the parmesan baked artichoke hearts at the recommendation of our server. They were piping hot with a hint of lemon and topped with parmesan and breadcrumbs. Served with crostini ( we did have to get a few more crostini). These were absolutely delightful! I could have probably made a meal out of this! We all had burgers and fries for our entree. The burger was seasoned and cooked perfectly! It was topped with cheese, bacon, tomato, lettuce and charred onions which really made this burger even better. I highly recommend the burger!! It was so delicious ... I forgot to get a picture before it was completely gone! The next time I am in Georgetown this will definitely be tops on the list of places to eat. read more

Frank's on Front is a family spin off of Frank's and Frank's Outback in Pawleys Island, but a very different menu and vibe. A historical remodel on Front St in Georgetown gives you an elegant but fun atmosphere for locals and tourists alike. The menu online show the variety from Seafood to Steak including a popular Quail dish. The small plates allow you to enjoy a 3 course meal. The desserts are not to be missed. The Key Lime Pie and Carrot Cake were the favorites passed around our table of 7 ladies. We had a great Front St window table. The restaurant is small and narrow inside but they have Front St tables and a patio out back with The Winyah Bay view. We enjoyed the Petite Filet that everyone raved about, crab cake , a vegetarian plate of sautéed vegetables, a salad with fried oysters. The appetizers were the cheese biscuits and pimento cheese. Great restaurant with a beautiful view. We sat inside next to the kitchen. The kitchen is only blocked off by glass which kept my 4 year old very entertained watching the chefs cook and seeing the fire. Mulled wine sangria was fantastic. Tomato basil soup was creamy, almost like a vodka sauce. Delicious. Veggie linguine was very tasty. The restaurant is in an old historic building and the usage of the space is one of the best concepts I've seen so far! We sat in the "open kitchen area" and were able to watch our food being made. While it was busy and a smidge loud, it was so intriguing to see the well oiled machine of staff that Frank's has. The food was spectacular! We had the Parmesan Baked Artichoke hearts and the Goat cheese Croquettes to start and delighted with each bite. Then our main courses were served - I had the Petite Filet with mashed potatoes and Au Poivre sauce which was absolutely fantastic. Each bite perfectly balanced and delicious. My co-worker and the special - Quail with wild rice and Brussel sprouts and after tasting h the sauce on my steak asked for another little cup for his meal which elevated the already tasty dish! To top off the night, I had Key Lime Cheesecake and he had the Carrot Cake with Rum sauce. I had to take 1/2 of my cheesecake back to the hotel because it was such a beautifully large piece - so, lunch dessert today it is! Nov 2025 My wife and I were visiting Myrtle Beach and decided to take a drive to the small town of Georgetown, SC to look around. While exploring the shops downtown, one of the shopkeepers asked what brought us to town. When we said we were just checking things out, she recommended the Swamp Tour and even called to see if it was running. The tour was excellent and a wonderful way to see the history and beauty of Georgetown. Afterward, the tour guide suggested we try Franks on Front for lunch -- which is how we ended up there. When we arrived, there were no seats available on the porch, so we sat on the front patio. The setting was pleasant with plenty of people-watching. Our server came by for drink orders, and for starters we ordered the house-made cheese biscuits, served with butter. For lunch, my wife chose the Paneed Chicken Breast with 631 marinara, linguini, and Parmesan. I ordered the 631 Burger with bacon jam, charred onion, cheddar, lettuce, tomato, and sea salt fries. The biscuits took a little while, which I assumed meant they bake them fresh -- they were good, though I personally think they would be even better with a savory jelly or jam. The real issue came afterward: our entrées took almost 45 minutes to arrive after the biscuits were served. It seemed likely our server didn't put in the food order until after the biscuits came out. My wife eventually got up to ask about our meals because several tables around us, who arrived after we did, were getting their food, dessert, and even coffee while we sat waiting. What made it more frustrating is that our server rarely checked on us. She only came by at the end to ask if we were finished so she could bring the check, while frequently attending to the table beside us. Overall, the food was good and the restaurant itself is nice, but the service on our visit was disappointing. Based on our experience, we'd probably try a different restaurant next time we're in Georgetown. read more

Fantastic from start to finish - walked in, no res and sat down immediately (5:30pm on Saturday). Goat cheese app was outstanding and we both had the Veal short rib. We went to Frank's for lunch, which is always a 10/10 for food and service. After we left, I realized I had accidentally left my AirPods on the table. When we went back in, the table had already been cleared and they were nowhere to be found. I assumed they were gone for good. About an hour later, I received a call from the owner letting me know they had been found. She explained she wasn't there when we initially came back, but once she returned, she reviewed the cameras and realized my AirPods had been wrapped up in the linens during clean up. They took time to investigate, tracked them down, and saved them for me. The level of care and hospitality is truly commendable- and honestly, how many places would go that far? It was a cold windy day and we stepped into a packed interesting looking restaurant. We always like the closeness of this type of table arrangements as we end up converse ring with other folks. We started off with a special mushroom soup $8. It was creamed based and good, but too salty. Second course were the conch fritters $15 I have been enjoy conch chowders and fritters me adult live. These were slightly over done unrecognizable as conch and again salty. I would pass on these just because of the salt. I had the Shrimp Curry spicy and good $27. The boss had a Grilled 4ounce Filet. Cooked perfectly and of the choices she selected a Wine Reduction Sauce, no charge. A service charge is attached if you use a credit card. Again the kitchen likes salt and this was no exception. Everything on the menu is outstanding. I recommend sitting out back and watching the Sun go down. I eaten the oysters multiple times, always my favorite on the strand, they dont overbread them so your unable to taste the oysters, Franks on front, doesnt make them that way, Lightly breaded, and briny. The Artichoke dip was very good, the Curried Shrimp was outstanding, the Crab Cake over grits, best I've had in ages, and dont get me started on the flourless Chocolate Torte, Oh my Lord, complete decadence. This restaurant was just perfect! I had such a delicious lunch with a beautiful river view. I couldn't decide between the small plate crab cakes or the spinach salad but luckily, I was able to order a half portion of the salad. It was fresh and delicious and the pickled onions plus the bacon and bleu cheese gave it the kind of interesting and salty flavors that I love in a salad. I'd definitely reorder this. The crab cakes were so good and had lots of meat. They were served on top of buttery, creamy grits that I'm already craving again! The mustard sauce wasn't overpowering and it was a delicious dish. Service was also excellent. This was one of the best meals I've had in a while. There are a lot of restaurants in the area but I'd likely return here over trying somewhere new because it was so good. I saw several people ordering burgers that looked great. I'd also like to try the crab Mac and cheese! They also had a roasted vegetable plate entree which sounded tasty if you didn't feel like eating meat or seafood but wanted something more than a salad. Great fairly new restaurant in Georgetown by same owners as Franks in Pawley's Island.... Waiter told us they have been open for about 2 months. Nice little place right on the water. It has a nice back porch overlooking the Sampit River. I'd give it 4.5 stars for ambience. We stopped in for lunch on a Saturday and the place was pretty busy. From the hostess to the waiter, to the busboy and runners, everyone was super polite and friendly! Our waiter Max was especially helpful and provided excellent service!! 5.0 stars for service. We had the garlic shrimp small plate as an appetizer and two salads for lunch. Wife had the Mediterranean, I had the chopped salad. We both added fried oysters. We enjoyed a beautiful day having lunch at 631 Front St. AKA - Franks in Front. The butternut squash is so good and it's that time of year to enjoy it again. I also enjoyed the seared tuna noodle salad and my other half enjoys the crab beat salad. Franks has grown to accommodate more customers but today a lunch crowd intended to the front sidewalk. The only negative part of the entire experience was a phone call to the location, prior to going there. We had a few questions and reached out via phone call. The individual who answered appeared to have minimal social skills or is emotionally immature and should not be answering the phone. They were actually not forthcoming at all with information in regards to our questions. It was very busy at midday on a Saturday, but we were seated quickly. Our server provided excellent service.
