As a first-time customer, we were very disappointed in the customer service at Frankie Bones, Blufton. Frankie Bones came highly recommended by a friend to my father in-law. So, it was only natural he chose this location to celebrate with family & friends after getting married. The location was perfect, and the private room was very elegant. He had reserved for 25 people and when we arrived the table was ready, and they sat us with no hesitation. The waiters came, introduced themselves and started taking appetizer (the spinach dip, green tomatoes and mozzarella sticks were great) and drink orders. Right before the food came out, is when things began to take a turn for the worst. The ceiling started leaking on the table and after notifying the manager, she cleaned the table up and offered to leave a dish towel for my sister in-law to continue wiping the table off as it leaked. Not only was this gesture unprofessional but unsanitary as well, to have to do as a customer while eating. I ordered the NY Brick Steak & Crab-stuffed Shrimp. When my food arrived to the table, I noticed something red sticking out of my mashed potatoes. I figured it was a plastic skewer, the kind that normally comes in a steak, so I immediately pulled it out, ready to dive-in, only to realize that it was a plastic bread tie. I couldn't believe my eyes!! I couldn't for the life of me understand why a plastic bread tie would have been in my mashed potatoes. Thankfully I didn't start eating it yet or most importantly, give any to my 9mos old baby. I immediately called the waiter over and he sent the manager to the table. The manager arrived at the table very defensive and not at all apologetic, he began saying he did not know where the bread tie came from or how it got on the plate but he was for sure it did not come out of the kitchen that way. I reassured him that I do not walk around and put bread ties in my food. He then had the audacity to ask me if I wanted the food replated or whether I wanted a new plate. I could not believe my ears, as someone whose worked in customer service for 10yrs, I would have never thought to ask a customer if they wanted the same food with something foreign in it on a new plate. I asked for a completely new steak on a new plate. He stated that he did not appreciate the implication that the bread tie came from his kitchen but could not explain where else it could have come from. He brought the food back with an attitude, asked me to cut into my steak to ensure it was right then said he took it off my bill as if that was my primary intention. I've definitely had better tasting $30 steaks. After everyone's food came out, no one ever came over to inquire whether things were good with our meal and/or if we needed anything. However, that same male manager visited each table to inquire about everyone else's meal but never once approached our table. Frankie Bones, Blufton, SC has extremely poor customer service and they discriminate against their guest. We will not be returning to this location!! read more

Food seems to be pre cooked and heated in a microwave. Not much taste. Ceasar salad dressing right out of a jar. Ugh! Fettuccine Alfredo sauce right out of a jar. I have been 3 times and can't figure out what the fuss is about. Food is good, not great and service is good not great. Last time we went it was very disappointing. They served me med rare pork (way under cooked) and a med filet mignon (way over cooked) and lobster Mac and cheese that somehow misplaced the lobster but not the $40 buck price tag. The waitress couldn't under stand why I sent the bloody pork loin back. By the time I got my meal back everyone else was done and it was time to leave. It was ok but not for what it cost. Took my family for dinner as I told them it was my favorite restaurant. What a disappointment! I've never had a bad experience there and unfortunately it had to be this night. The food was cold, we sent it back and it came back when everyone else was done with their meals. They did give us two free deserts, but even those were unappetizing. The worst meal I've ever had in my life. The biggest disappointment for a Thanksgiving meal. Server ignored us, could never get her attention. Reservation was 615, sat down at 630. That was not a problem. First coarse came at 715 sent it back because we never got our appetizer, 20 minutes later got soup which was good, then they brought out the same meal that was now cold, ordered medium rare it was raw/rare vegetables were not correct either. Server was Mia, I had to go in to talk to manager. Same thing happened to table beside us meal before appetizer. Sent back the meal received a smaller piece of prime rib with too much fat. Ordered a glass of wine she brought an 8oz, only wanted 6oz server never asked which size I wanted so now I'm paying $15 for a glass of wine.Then the check that was also screwed up, she didn't even check it before she brought it out, nor explain anything on it. Horrible food and experience!!! don't recommend, don't waste your money. Not to mention someone was smoking and manager saw this didn't say anything to them. Very disgusting. We went on New Year's Eve, so we were pleasantly surprised at how well they did. The menu was varied with several choices in each category. The food was good, and the service was very good. Had lunch at Frankie Bones in Bluffton on Monday. Normally I always have good food there. But Monday I had the pot roast with mashed potatoes and glazed carrots. The food was lukewarm at best. While visiting friends in Bluffton nobody wanted to cook on Sunday evening. We also discovered a lot of places in the area are closed on Sunday so Frankie bones came to our rescue. Our server was fairly new but very pleasant and efficient. I am going 5 stars because of the brunch on Sundays!!! Very good rotating specials and staple items. The pork schnitzel (yep for brunch) is awesome. Low priced mimosas and bloody marys. The place to go for brunch in Bluffton. They also have pre-made food for people to heat up at home. I have had and liked the meatballs, pasta and pizzas. The regular menu is a 4 star for me, but do not let that deter anyone. We all have different palates. The staff makes up for the loss of 1 star for me anyways. read more

Great place if you want corona! They seat you right next to one another, they washed multiple tables with the same rag and wouldn't wipe both seats. Would just recommend going elsewhere if you want to actually feel safe. The staff was kind and the food was good. read more

I just left Frankie Bones and could not be more pleased. The service was tremendous throughout our meal. Donna kept our drinks field and did an unbelievable job of taking care of us. Frankie Bones in Bluffton is located in front of the Buckwalter Kroger if you are coming from Buckwalter Pkwy. The decor is classic black and white. The service was good. Waitress were all friendly and helpful. Food had low to average flavor (which is way too common in this area) and portions were quite small, even for a salad, my wife was asking where was the actual salad. The dessert sampler had the best portion and was more flavorful. Will have to try other menu items to see this improves. They are open for lunch on 2/17. read more

Visited on 10/24/2024 for lunch with a friend. We were greeted at the door immediately and seated promptly. Shortly our waitress arrived, Jill P. and took our drink order and explained all the specials for the day. When she returned we placed our orders and Kathia A. delivered them. Jill returned asking if we needed any grated cheese, I did. The food was delicious and hot. I had fettuccine alfredo and my friend had one of the specials, meat lasagna and it came with a side order of a small salad. No complaints at all. Price was reasonable and the restaurant is neat and clean. No one rushed us out, as I hadn't seen my friend who was visiting from NJ/Delaware area in a few years. On our way home from a great vacation and just wanted to say how much our family and the others with us enjoyed Frankie Bones. We have been coming to HH for years and tried Frankie's last year for the first time. Our daughter insisted we go twice last year and this year. Service was great both years and they are doing their absolute best even with all of the Covid restrictions. Food highlights below: The prime rib is a must. Great pastas and sauces including the lobster Mac and cheese. I even loved my house salad with herb vinaigrette.
