My husband and I highly recommend this newly found restaurant in Bluffton, SC, near Hilton Head, SC and not far from Savannah, GA. Visiting my sister and husband. We took them to Frankie Bones and all 4 ordered steak. My sister's prime rib was ordered medium and came rare. My husband steak was ordered medium rare and was rare. That is 2 out of 4 correct. Manager and waitress offered to cook a little longer. Problem with this is everyone will be fine eating when your meal comes back. My husband had to remind waitress he ordered an extra side. Their margarita special was shaken at table and put in a martini glass. Did not taste like a margarita. The waitress was very experienced and friendly. Made every effort to provide service recovery. After all of this, my husband, who did nit finish his meal, had an upset stomach from his Caesar salad. He was the only one who ordered salad. Overall, I loved the environment and waitstaff. The kitchen may be behind the scenes but is the primary reason you go yo a restaurant. For the food! read more

Been 5 times during my last three visits and consistently experience the same issues. Overall a mediocre experience. It seems they are a bit disorganized between FOH and BOH management. Take three of the five times: the servers showed little desire to keeping our drinks filled or checking on us (and no we were not there at the busy times). This last time we arrived a few minutes after 8, our food was delivered minutes before 9, we asked for tea refills only to be told they closed at 9 and they had poured out the tea.. The food has generally been good although lukewarm not hot. We've been for breakfast too. Waited almost 40 minutes for our order; the server told us that it the kitchen is slow for orders because the buffet. The ambiance was fine; it's busy and guests seem to be enjoying themselves. It's a lively casual atmosphere. Three of the five times we have had reservations. Wish the service was better. read more

I enjoy going to Frankie Bones, the food is always on par and the specials that they put together are absolutely delicious. Sometimes the service at the bar is not as great, but I think that's due to just a friendliness of the servers and the conversations they have with some of the regulars. read more

My party had a meal here recently and we had a great experience! For an appetizer we shared the fried green tomatoes which were awesome served with fresh mozzarella and balsamic glaze. For my meal I had the eggplant parmigiana. The pasta and sauce were good, but nothing special (standard considering this is a steak house). What made the dish so delicious was the eggplant. I am used to eggplant parm being served with thin slices of eggplant that are mostly breading, but the eggplant on this dish was the opposite. It was SO good! Other members of my party had steak and salmon, both of which they enjoyed. We ended our meal with the espresso brownie and it too was awesome. Great experience! read more

Not a pleasant experience in the slightest. My drink was under poured, it was served to me in a short glass half full. When I asked for a new drink, I was abandoned and ignored management and waitstaff. I had to wait almost an hour to be served my burger and fries, while I got to watch every other customer in the establishment come, be served, and go; all before I even got my food at all! Once I finally got my meal, it was good, but it would've been better if I didn't have to wait an hour for it. We came in for lunch and were immediately seated. Everyone was very friendly and attentive. All 3 of us really enjoyed our lunches. I had the mixed beet salad and added blackened salmon. Stopped in for a quick bite before a doctor's appointment. Looks like they're trying for a NYC or Vegas swingading/ratpack vibe. Lots of leather, dark wood and photos of Hollywood stars. Very nice looking place. We both had iced tea, which was very good. Lori had a gyro, which was sort of ordinary. It came with a mond of fries. I had pierogi, standard potato/cheese drenched in Buffalo sauce, of all things. Good without being really remarkable. Service was attentive and friendly. It was a little steep for a quick lunch, but I might be tempted to try it for a steak or Italian fare. This is our first visit to FB in over year. We a had 3 bad meals in a row and after contacting the manager about the cold food and even worse service, she offered us nothing more than lip service. After our neighbors informed u that they enjoy going to FB often so we thought we would try again. Our server "Jill P" did an outstanding job of explaining the specials and describing some of the Oktoberfest dishes. She checked on us often which made our experience very pleasant. read more

Great food at great value! We made reservations for our group of 8 to celebrate my brother-in-law's birthday. We were seated in the Board Room area which was nice and more private with fewer tables. The menu was extensive and had something for everyone at our table. The majority of our table had the coffee rubbed ribeye and it was delicious! It was cooked accordingly to our desired doneness. A few of us also started out with the cream of mushroom soup and wow! That was a lot of flavor packed in a tiny cup, even my 3 year old niece had to say how much she liked it. We also tried every dessert imaginable on the menu and I opted for the big chocolate cake a la mode. It was the best chocolate cake I've had in a very long time. It was soft and fluffy without being dry. The frosting was just sweet enough that it was enjoyable without it being too rich. Overall, this was such a great spot and I'm glad that we got to try this place. The service was excellent and our server was very attentive to our needs. The food was average. My ribs were little bland. My spaghetti were the best but I should of gotten meatballs because Italian sausages were not that great. Calamari tasted good with nice size portions. I asked for lemons for my water never received it. I ordered my ribs to go but it came out first in to -go -box before my sit down order. Our experience wasn't pleasant. We were practically refused service by our server. We were seated at approximately 2:04 pm and the table behind us was seated shortly after. There was also another table who was seated just before us. After their orders were taken, our server came to take our order. We placed our food and beverage order at the same time. It took about 10 minutes for us to receive our drinks. Shortly thereafter, the adjacent tables received their entire meal while we continued to wait for an excess of 25 minutes. At 2:40 pm, our meal still hadn't been brought and we decided to speak with the manager. While the manager was apologetic and offered to fast track our food for completion within 15 minutes and/or a comp visit, we declined. The blatant refusal of the server to serve us prior to us raising the issue with the manager gave us great pause with proceeding, as we would've had no insight into the safety of the food. Additionally, we were passing through on vacation and likely will not return to the area. While speaking with the manager, the offending server walked by multiple times and never apologized or acknowledged us. Using context clues, it is obvious why we received below subpar service given the demographic of the server and the adjacent parties. It is deplorable that in 2024, this sort of behavior is still pervasive and acceptable. read more
