We are happy Frankie Bones is now in Bluffton as we enjoyed eating there on HHI. The restaurant is a good size with indoor and outdoor seating. The conference room is at least twice the size of HHI. Its very clean and nicely decorated. We have enjoyed every dish we have ordered. We even ended up there for brunch on Sunday and although the menu was different for brunch and we did not know that beforehand we were still able to order our favorites that were not on the brunch menu. Very accommodating and pleasant service and atmosphere. We have even gone with our kids and they have the standard kids menus with crayons. Plenty of room for people with family's and those who prefer adult time at the bar. read more

I spent 2 weeks trying to get reservations for the band new Frankie Bones and finally got to go Sunday night. Great place and overall very happy. Service was a tiny bit slow, but they were very busy and we were not in a hurry... just a bit hungry! :). The toasted ravioli and Fried Green Tomato Caprese app's were delish. My husband had the Spaghetti Squash with chicken and I had the fetuccinne alfredo with shrimp. My husband overall enjoyed his dish very much, though he was a bit disappointed there were onions in it, which were not on the menu, but that's his fault for not asking the server. I thought the fetuccinne and alfredo sauce were amazing, but was not thrilled with the shrimp. They were incredibly smelly and as much as I absolutely love seafood, I don't like to smell it. They were also quite salty. We took leftovers home and I just threw away the shrimp and very much enjoyed the fettuccine and Alfredo sauce. We also took a piece of key lime pie and cannelloni "to go" because we were too full to eat them there. I think overall price for food was very adequate except for the deserts. They were quite small for the price. I did have one quirk, which I have at most restaurants and that is when our main dish is served before they clear out the appetizer plates. The man who brought our main dishes had his hands full and had no where to put our food because we had 2 appetizer plates and 2 small plates on the table. My husband and I ended up stacking the plates together and holding them up while he put our food down on the table and then he took our dirty plates. I would not normally expect this to happen at a nicer restaurant such as FB, but it did. Anyway, we will definitely return and try some of their other dishes. read more

Sort of difficult to review this restaurant. The food came out incorrect, and when we tried to correct it, it came back even worse off than the first place. The waiter was pretty clueless about what he was doing, and threw out a lot of information that really wasn't accurate. After all several returns to the kitchen, we eventually got the appropriate meals, and after four tries we got a second glass of wine. That including asking our waiter twice, the assistant manager once as well as one time with the manager. I'm not sure if it's a case of inexperience, as the restaurant has only been open three weeks. But this is a SERG restaurant and as such I expect better. Not gonna lie, very disappointed in this particular restaurant. EDIT. The manager did give us consideration after the meal and apologized for the issues we had. We'll give it a couple weeks and chalk this up to "growing pains". I'll be interested to see if the waiter who tried to tell me roasted potatoes were the twice baked casserole is still there! read more

Both locations have good food, service and ok ambiance. Consistently good choice. You can always find a consistently good product.

Food and service were good, but if you have a food allergy. Go at your own risk, there seems to be confusion between the chef and manager on what's in the food. Even after they said we can't eat the rice , they put it on the plate anyway with coleslaw that we couldn't eat either. Though a manager said we could eat both. didn't take the chance , only ate the fish. probably won't go back until I hear they've solved this problem read more

We frequent this restaurant and usually have wonderful service, servers and food. However, after being spoiled by servers like Jess and Anna, we dined on 12/26 and were so disappointed. We bragged to our out of town company how amazing everything always is and had the worst meals and service. No one ever was offered a refill or another wine or cocktail. Bread was asked for after we had to wave down the server. Whenever we asked for anything we seemed to inconvenience the server and his face read it all over. We got our meals in sessions so no one ate together though 6 were dining together. No manager came out when things were effectively a failure of epic proportions. As we were chatting with one another about how poor things were a friend in the booth behind us popped up and agreed that they had the same server and poor meal and service as well. read more

I have eaten dinner here often and it is amazing. However, we went for lunch today and it wasn't very good. I got the burnt end sandwich with fries. It was borderline bad. The shoe string fries were cold and not very good. I have had burnt ends from the Butcher Market and this was no where near as good. They weren't burnt at all. My husband and I sat at the bar, which was full the whole time we were there, but service was attentive and prompt from Chris and Tammy. I thought the drinks were quite good and fairly priced. It was happy hour (4-7), so we were given a poker chip for each drink which we could give back for $1.00 off per drink or save for later. We saved ours for next time. My husband had the Made Meatballs for around $8 which were very good (ask for bread with it), and I had a Wedge salad for $5.95. It was somewhat smaller than other wedges I've had, but the flavor was delicious - best wedge I've maybe ever had, so I thought it was great for the price. Went to Frankie Bones Bluffton to celebrate my father-in-laws birthday. We chose Frankie Bones because of the great care they take in keeping guests safe and their COVID 19 protocals. They go above and beyond! We sat outside and my in-laws felt very safe. Olivia, our server, did an amazing job - she made great suggestions and our drinks were never empty! We were a table of 8. Our waitress was either flustered or incompetent. We were never offered a drink or cocktail. We were never offered an appetizer. When the bills arrived they were all mixed up. One of us didn't get a bill so he asked for it and she said she lost his credit card. As it turns out he never gave her a card. The irony of the whole evening is there were no tables occupied down the center of the room. I like this place, especially for Sunday Brunch. The food was very good. The petite filet mignon was good but VERY small with creamed spinach and about 6 tiny new potato halves (tiny). The service was not good at all. My husband ordered a second drink to have with his meal and had to remind the waitress once; and then when he received it he was finished with his meal. We ordered coffee and dessert and the coffee came and the dessert never did. I requested the check 20 minutes later and asked for the coffee to be removed. read more

Follow up on my bad review of Frankie Bones on or about Dec. 27 or 28th. I got a reply from Doug, the manager at this Frankie Bones location. He was very nice & said that they had had several complaints on the waiter that night. He asked me to give them a second chance, which I would have done anyway. Well, long story short, my son, daughter-in-law & I went to dinner last night. Doug had left a $50 gift card for me toward our meal which was very nice & very generous of him. Our meal was delicious & our waitress was awesome. I really appreciate Doug reaching out to me & he has clearly redeemed Frankie Bones. We will gladly return in the future. We truly like this restaurant. Doug is amazing & really went above & beyond. Thank you again Doug for your attention & for resolving the issue. Had guests in from out of town who wanted to take us to dinner. We needed to find a place close by to our home in Bluffton,S.C. that was known for quality food and service without being too expensive. Frankie Bones fit the bill perfectly. Three of our party all ordered salmon ,spinach salad and each wanted it tailored to their own likings ..... NOT A PROBLEM. I ordered a house salad and half rack of ribs with a coke barbecue sauce,absolutely fantastic. We have been hearing about slow service because many restaurants are short of help so we worried because when we arrived it was packed.(be sure to make a reservation both Bluffton or Hilton Head Island). Service was not a problem however. Our server,Megan, was attentive and friendly and helped make a special evening even more special. If you are looking for good food and good service,give them a try. I just have to say that Beaufort County is in the middle of rising coronavirus infections but this restaurant run by the Serg group doesn't require its staff wear masks that will protect patrons. This is irresponsible and I will not patronize their restaurants again. Who knows what else they don't require? Maybe hand washing maybe not taking temperatures.
