Place is cute and clean. A great place I would think to bring dogs. And if you have a problem with dogs going to this establishment please dont come. They give free hot dogs as a treat for the dogs However there was a group of people that came and did not like dogs. The service was very good! The people working there were super nice and helpful! I got a boudin hot dog with pulled pork and bbq sauce and it was good! The fries were great too.

Fun and funky with great food and staff. We are always out to find new and interesting lunch spots in BR. Frankie's was our most recent find. Imagine our surprise when we arrived and realized it was right next to Parrains, one of our favorites. If you exit the interstate coming from downtown, it is right past Parrains for reference. The building is small and resembles a cool outdoor space one would find in a friend's backyard. I liked it so much that I would love to have a friend with a place like this. If you have an outdoor area like this, holla at your boy. We should be friends. The food is simple and hot dog based. I got a Chuck Norris and bratwurst. Both were very good and much higher quality than a hot dog you would make at home. I finished the meal off with an order of chili cheese tots. This was a good choice. I would have liked a little more chili but the addition of onions and jalapenos was a good idea. Will I be back? Yep. Should you add this to your lunch rotation? Yep.

My sister loves Frankie's Dawg House and usually makes a point of stopping in at least once when she's in town. Her go to is the Chuck Norris which is topped with chili, cheese, bacon, onions and jalapeños - that a lot of toppings. I would just usually get a regular hotdog, chili cheese, nothing special for me. Their sitting area has a nice cozy feel, not what you would expect for my hotdog place. Great service as well. The last time we were there I ordered two corndogs for a change of pace, and the corndog wasn't cooked long enough and the center was a bit cold. They ended up making me two more, no questions asked. I've spoken with the owner a few times. Very nice gentleman. I even made a YouTube video here once and talked to one of the employees about the cat which is actually named Frankie. If I recall correctly, Frankie's is actually named after a cat! You also find more interesting choices on the menu. There's a deer hotdog and alligator and such. So there's definitely something for everyone. Even vegetarian choices.

Came back here for my 2nd time (after the 1st many years ago) for a K9 Rouge Rescue event and was impressed with everything! The staff was so helpful for us setting up space for the pups, the food was delicious, and the setting is just precious (as it was the first time I went). My favorite find was probably the fruit-infused lemonades! I couldn't get enough!! I hope next time I come they offer alligator corndogs again as I was really hoping to try that out. All good though as they have so many options, and no doubt they're all delicious!

Great casual spot! On our way to florida we stopped here, and it was only 2 minutes off of the highway. It was a fun vibe and it had an air conditioned little sports bar outdoor patio that was really cute and fun! The place is bigger than it looks on the outside for sure! I got the Chicago dog, and it was good! My husband also enjoyed the breading on his corn dog. The tater tots had a great creole seasoning as well. The best part was- they give you a free hot dog for your dog if you bring them in! Our dog bear loved it, and they even remembered his name. Great customer service!

Frankie's is good for anyone who loves hotdogs. They've got a good variety with fresh ingredients if you really like hotdogs this is the next place you should go!

Frankie's is such a vibe! Everything in the menu is so delicious and well executed! The kitchen guy, Tay, is incredible! Love love love Frankie's!

If I could give them Zero stars I would. I went here and ordered 2 corn dogs and they gave me 2 burnt pieces of trash. They should be ashamed of of what's in this box. I will not be visiting this horrid establishment ever again.

I had walked in at 8 o'clock, an hour before they closed. Was told that i could not sit down in there because they were about to close which didn't make sense. Anyway weird vibe in the place. Hot dogs are ok. Wanted no jalepenos on the deer dawg but I was told I couldn't do that for some reason which doesn't make sense either since they are just on top. Probably wouldn't go back.

After a great walk around the lakes Rocky had earned a treat. We looked for a new place we haven't been to and could also take him. Frankie's was amazing from the moment we walked in. Service was quick, food was delicious, and Rocky even got his own bowl. We sat on the back patio (that had AC!!!) to eat and cool down. We had a great experience and will be back.

While visiting Baton Rouge I noticed this place mom and pop cafe tucked behind Magpie Cafe. I haven't had a #hotdog in awhile and it's been even longer since I've had one that I didn't make at home myself. I wasn't impressed. The minimum requirement I have for restaurants is that the food is temperature hot but you won't find that here. The hot dog, chili or cheese was barely above room temp. I was looking forward to the Nathan's dog but I won't be back especially at these food prices. I liked the free WiFi and $5 Bud Light aluminum bottle. Outdoor patio seating was cool with TVs but I need good food with atmosphere. Pro tip: Don't expect to use the $1 off Yelp Check-In offer. Ownership states that they haven't allowed this coupon in 10 years but it's right on their page.

I have lived in BR for 6 years now. Many departments at LSU take guests there and in that time, Building 5 has done nothing to improve its parking lot. The restaurant sits underneath an overpass and the parking is pothole marked unpaved gravel. This means that there is no room for wheelchairs or accommodations for anyone who is differently-abled to get into the restaurant. The whole restaurant makes no room for handicapped persons. On the occasion I did get food, the food is slightly overpriced. All meats were cooked adequately but the food was lukewarm probably owing to sitting in the kitchen under the heat lamp than being delivered promptly. When I have gone, I regularly have to ask for refills on soda as I am the designated driver often for department functions. Servers pay you no heed if you do not buy alcohol. Because I go here because of academic reasons, I would barely go here myself. I've been here many times and found it wanting. It's an ableist place in its infrastructure. It's fine I'm atmosphere as a cocktail bar but would little recommend it to people I call friend.

Both good choices. Overall, the wine pairing was okay. I like the appetizer pairing of a nice light, white bubbly prosecco. The second was a classic red wine to pair with a steak. The last wine is where I was not impressed. It was a dessert wine that had a smell similar to a distilled whiskey. I took a sip and decided I rather another glass of prosecco. Shout out to the server who was accommodating and swapped out that glass for what I requested. He didn't have to, but he did! The food was mouth watering delicious. We started off with the sauteed shrimp and the piquillo peppers. THANK GOD the piquillo peppers are a Solera regular. I will be getting them again. The shrimp were just okay, nothing out of this world. Second course was the filet with polenta. It was absolutely delicious and packed with flavors that complimented each other well. Final course we had the rum bread pudding and the manchego cheesecake. The manchego cheese is definitely a rich and an acquiring flavor. Without the blueberry sauce, you would think its just a slab of cheese. The rum bread pudding was spectacular. I have never loved a rum sauce with my bread pudding, but the Solera one kept me wanting more. Overall and enjoyable experience, with a couple minor foods that lack the razzle dazzle of a 5 star review.
