Found this spot while looking for something quick late night. The place was clean, and there was another party of two at the bar finishing up as we arrived, so we ended up being the only guests. While the service wasn't very attentive, our food did come out pretty quickly. We had to keep asking for what we needed, as there weren't any check-ins throughout our visit. Overall, the service felt more like it got the job done rather than being welcoming or engaging. We ordered a few items to try, including the Who Dat Shrimp, wings, and a cheeseburger with fries. The Who Dat Shrimp were my favorite. They had a perfect crisp, and the sauce on top was really good. The wings also had a nice flavor, but they weren't tossed in the sauce as stated on the menu. Came here to watch football - arrived just before noon and the place was empty so we got to sit where we liked - bartender was nice and put all the TVs on our game. We wanted chicken wings but he said they wouldn't be ready for a few hours. I ordered the gumbo and it was pretty good - I'd definitely order again. My husband got onion rings and he really liked them - light and not too much breading. The place was very cold though - it was in the low 50s outside and felt warmer outdoors than inside the bar. A few other people came in and bellied up to the bar - everyone kept their coats and sweaters on. We left during half time to go somewhere else. read more

Tried this place while in town for work. It is good and interesting since it seems they run two restaurants out of the same kitchen so there are two different menus. Lots of food options but your typical bar food. Service was nice and quick and there were plenty of places to sit. It is your typical dive bar but good food. read more

NOLA Taphouse is one of those places with chairs, tables, and supplies stacked in the back of the place, that is a little devoid of personality and therefore looks like it's always under new management. It threw off a TGI Friday's vibe. We stopped in because it was nearby to Cachon and we were thirsty. The beer was cold. read more

Went here once before (a year ago). They had a more expanded menu, possibly because it was at night. I distinctly remember the crawfish pie being quite tasty and the Taste of New Orleans sampler with red beans & rice, jambalaya, and gumbo was decent enough to scratch that Cajun itch. I would've given it 3.5-4 stars then. Decent environment with the right balance between lively but laid back, good enough food, and reasonable prices. Went back again today and I was pretty disappointed. We were advised to get the hot sausage sandwich and I assumed it'd be a hot link or something. For $10 though, it was absolutely absurdly overpriced. I literally got just a bun with a flat and flavorless breakfast sausage-style patty (with no vegetables/tomato or lettuce at all). Based on quality and quantity, I doubt the raw ingredients for that cost more than 50 cents. My friend got one with the cheese add-on for $2 and they sprinkled on some cheese, leaving my friend complaining that he didn't even get a slice of American or something. It might have just been an off day (and we did go around the early afternoon), but I felt more ripped off than I can ever remember feeling when eating out. If you get the urge to come on an afternoon and you see that the only available food is standard burgers/sandwiches, sides, and no Cajun food, I would steer clear. Was in town for a conference and staying just down the road. My coworker and I decided to give this a shot since it had decent reviews and was close. Holy beef brisket nachos, it was delicious. We ended up going two more times during our stay, (don't judge it was raining) and the food was amazing each time. The brisket nachos are a delicious take on classic bar food. The crawfish pies were so good. Tasty and warm and the perfect ratio of filling to crust. The brisket quesadilla to also perfectly cheesy and brisket-y. But the highlight was absolutely the onion rings. They were the best gd onion rings I have had in my long and well travelled life. The PERFECT onion ring. Season and fried to perfection. Definitely get the onion rings. Actually get two. They're that delicious. All the food is amazing and I recommend this very HIGHLY. Just a perfect bar with great food. Go. No really go. read more

We stopped here since we got into town late and they were close and we were not disappointed. I got a rum punch that was delicious and my husband had a tequila and pineapple. The brisket nachos were delicious! Absolutely recommend. The onion rings weren't my favorite the breading was good but the onion was still a little crunchy. The catfish was delicious! They were closed last Saturday afternoon on the 8th of November, 2025 and the previous Monday night on the 3rd. We are from out of town but have an apartment uptown. We were looking forward to watching Monday night football there and college football on Saturday but they were closed during advertised "opened" hours. I've been going here for years when it was Dino's and to enjoy Buffalo Bills games in recent years. What a disappointment and a waste of our time to go there twice and find it was closed...WTH? If you want the BBQ as the sign boast about, you will need to look somewhere else. The menu is from some other time, instead of making a new menu they just marked up and crossed things out with type of crayon . We came in after a conference for a beer, it was mostly empty but the manager and bartender treated us like family. We talked for a while, had great laughs, food was good, beers were cold, music was good. We had such a fun time we came back the next day and had two different people working but had more laughs and more good beers and food.
