I absolutely love this store ! Secondly let me say, I share a love of vacuums with the owner. I bought two reconditioned Kirbys here before I bought my Miele here. As did two other family members. I have been coming here, for well over 15 years. The ownership has changed hands, and the quality of service has never diminished. It is always fantastic. They're very knoledgeable. They don't oversell. They are passionate about their products. When it comes to the manufacturer versus the client, they will be your advocate. Washington is very lucky to have this establishment in their small town. I am grateful not to have to send my machine off to a repair center, of who knows who, or who knows where, and wait indefinitely for it to be returned. HAD A GOOD EXPERIENCE ONCE, THE SECOND EXPERIENCE I FELT A BIT SCREWED. Needed service on a power head, the estimate was for roughly 70$. Which then turned into 108$ the excuse being that it was more a more difficult repair than Derrick had anticipated ! We discussed this repair in 2 different conversations, and I was quoted roughly the same price twice(70$). The new part was to be 32$,had turned into 44$, (I found it for 16.50$ online). I come from the school of "ones word is sacred, and your reputation is held above all , as trustworthy." If I put myself in his position, I would have had pled my conflict to the customer that I had made an error with regards to the estimate, and let them decide the proper course of action. I can say that I would have been sympathetic, here's a few extra bucks, I'll share in the financial pain. I want you to be successful and happy. What burned me was the way the cost overrun was presented, as if his needs were the primary thing to keep in mind. I am customer, and I am very mindful of that. Incidentally Derrick did try and sell me on a new vacuum, he does believe in the products he offers, however I was not ready to dive in and buy one at the time. I just wanted mine repaired. And I will say that the repair was completed in the time frame he proposed. Will I be back? Probably not. These type of interactions display a lot more than meets the eye. read more

Unfortunate experience. Took my Beam central vac hose in for repair and was told not repairable. Ordered new replacement and arrived in reasonable time. Took home and found not compatible with motor head. Took back and they installed conversion plug. He wanted $21.00 more. Told him quote initially was for workable hose-he should have known when looked at original. Wanted to take conversion plug off if I didn`t pay more. Told him I would agree to pay $10.00 more. Threw hose on floor and uttered profanity as I exited. Impudent employee with -0- customer respect. read more

We took our Dyson up there to be fixed. I thoroughly explained the problem and they said it just needed to be taken apart completely and cleaned. They charged us $80 for that. It worked for a day after we got it home and then stopped working again. We called and asked if they could look at it again, but they said it would cost more. Um. No. I took it to you to fix it. Already paid $80 and it's not fixed. I should've know since they have anti-Dyson signs all over their store. If you have a bagged vacuum they can probably help you but they are very anti-bagless vacuum. I do not recommend. read more

Had brought in a 5+ yr old $400 vacuum hoping to repair. Informed my vacuum had several problems (truly understand, not new) but when plugged in worked just fine. I was then given a demo on a new vacuum that had a $899 price tag. I was also told it was ranked very high by Consumer Reports, this model wasn't listed in the top 10 by Consumer Reports I believe this business is interesting in selling rather than repairing. read more

The owner wasa wonderful from day one! He left earlier from my home and I felt compelled to write a review because I was so satisfied. I read a comment " he tried to sell me a vac!" Well of course he suggested options to upgrade and explained that my old gal was older and on life support. When I questioned him how to fix my vac he spent a lot of time explaining my options and was very pleasant and professional . The owner is very soft spoken, calm ( my fearful dog gravitated towards him) so I find it very difficult to believe he was ever unprofessional. PS--- THERE WAS A TINY UPGRADE charge due to me, ( keeping in mind this is electronics and part 1 has to go with part 2) that when he ordered came to his attention. When you have to bandage a customers broken down items it becomes a puzzle and I think most are sensitive to the simple fact!!! Back to the tiny up charge... The owner absorbed the majority of the price. He did not have to do that at all as he showed me the paper work. He came when he said he would. He is very knowledgeable ( he has interest in vac since the age of 11 years OMG) and has a support system. BTW ....I couldn't be happier. Went to this store to shop for a new vacuum. Salespeople were very helpful and knowledgeable about the models and knew what to recommend for my situation and home. Ended up buying a Miele (mid level unit) based on the recommendations of the sales staff. The vacuum wasn't the cheapest I could have purchased but it was well worth the investment.
