Movie Theatre is hissing behind Baskin Robbin's, Hibbetts Sports on west side. Not a very good location to be seen from road. Theatre is pretty clean, just really old and outdated. We have been a few times and never had more than 5-8 ppl in the same movie as us. You buy your tickets at the concession stand so they aren't very busy. Tuesday is $5 movies. Small drink is $4.75. Seats in the theatre are standard cloth cushion seats, nothing special, they are decent and seem clean. read more

It was cool. One of the closest cinemas near the truck stops. Definitely nostalgic two rows of seats runner down the aisle, old popcorn on the floor with wave of rows, and that's what I loved about this theater. Ordered a large fresh bucket of popcorn and all the snacks the hubby & I enjoy. The people were friendly and the theater was famiy oriented. Location was conveniently close to other shops, restaurants & hwy. Would definitely stop by again if in the area. read more

My biggest complaint about this Cinema are the movies they show. Unless it's a "kiddie" flick or something pretty tame, you aren't going to get anything else. Hardly any independent movies are ever shown. "Late Nite with the Devil," or "Longlegs" (two movies I've been dying to see) are not slated for viewing here. This chain of theatres seems to overlook the fact that there are still some older people who enjoy movies that are not pure fluff. The prices are very reasonable and so are the concessions...IF it's just for one person! read more

If you just want to see a movie, this theater will technically accomplish that. However, it won't be a great experience. The screens are small and old... the one I used was fraying at the top or something, so there was an uneven black border at the top of the screen that was distracting. The audio was also not mixed well, and the seats weren't very comfortable. I didn't try the popcorn because it was just sitting on the counter and did not look fresh. Poorly ran theatre. Had a bus bring in a load of really nasty people that literally ruined the last movie my wife and I went to see that was on its opening day. We got up only a few minutes into the show and ask for a refund. We were not given a refund but were given two passes to see a future movie or the same flick. We decided today to go see a movie, the new Lion King movie and were told that the passes are only good for movies that are two weeks or older. Tried to argue the movie we got the passes for was on opening night and we paid full pop for the tickets. Needless to say we will not ever go back. My advice is go find a real theater with comfortable seats and nice employees. read more

This 6-screen (2 large and 4 small) cinema is a basic entertainment place for the Frankfort area. There is nothing grand or really exciting about the place. It has a small concession stand that sells the regular movie theatre fare. Plus, it has a small "car ride" (kind of like a coin-operated rocking horse) for children. The one nice thing about this theater is the ticket price. We enjoyed a night movie for $8. Awesome! read more

I've been here twice and I'm splitting my review between what would have been a 2 star review the first time, and a 4 star the second... Hubby and I are looking for a local theatre. We like the feeling of old-timey, small, hometown kinda theatres... this one is pretty much that to a T. The service here has always been good. Fast and friendly... and the bathrooms are always clean.. so.. bonus points! During our first visit we were in Theatre 1 and the floors are just horrendously sticky... every time you moved you made noise! In addition the sound was very low, which, to be honest, I didn't hate because I find most movies too loud anyway, but, since hubby and I were the only ones there, it was low enough we could actually talk to one another. Lastly, my last two bits of popcorn at the bottom of the bucket were MOLDY... Like... yeah.. hard to get that taste out of your mouth! Now, my vote after that was to try another theatre, but my hubby kinda likes the place so we gave it another go. This time, things were better... Our popcorn was fresh, no issues down to the last kernel! And, we went back to Theatre 1 and the floor was SUPER clean! Now, there were some broken (or something) seats in that theatre they were roped off, but, the floors weren't sticky at all anymore! Also, the sound was louder, for good or for bad... All in all, it's a cute little theatre that has that old hometown charm. It can be a little hit and miss, but the service is good and it's a tad cheaper than some... read more

Definitely needs a remodel, it's handy for staying in town. Purchasing tickets needs updated, either you're standing outside to do this or at the concession stand area with people trying to purchase both and it goes super slow. read more

We visited this cinema today for a 1:30 showing of Red Sparrow. The service was very friendly and there were hardly any lines. I'm writing this review because the popcorn was old and not warm. It tasted very stale and had more salt than I've ever experienced on any food including Soy sauce which is very salty. My husband couldn't even finish his popcorn. While this cinema is very conveniently located as we live in Frankfort, we're likely to go to Lexington for fresher condiments. As the rates now used at cinemas, the food should be the freshest we've ever had. read more

It's just a theatre. One plus is free refills! AND a police officer at the door. In today's world, I'd like to have one in every room but at least there is a presence. The only thing I'd like to do is Lysol my seat before I sit down. Otherwise, this place is just fine for a small town. read more

Theatre is run down and poorly managed. You have to wait in concession stand line to purchase tickets, which means you're waiting forever, because there is usually only one person working. Therefore making you late to see your movie. The seats are terrible!! A lot are broken and worn out and noisy and it smells like mildew. You can also hear the movie next to you if you're in one of the smaller theaters. Not worth the cost of admission! read more

This is an older, "seventies style" , no frills theatre. I have never had a problem here. Popcorn was always fresh and hot and you add your own butter and salt so there should not be a problem with that. The main draw is that the prices are reasonable, and Tuesday nights are only $5. Good prices, good service, no frills. read more

I wanted to host a birthday party for my baby girl who will be turning one . i spoke to the general manager at the franklin square cinema. i went in person and personally waited for 30 minutes for him to give me few minutes of his time to plan the event . he agreed to everything on the day for everything we discussed and never said he need approval form home office. i sent the evite to almost 100 people and everything was set and we were exited for the big day for our little baby girl. then came an email from the manager which said that he will not agree to the terms which is agreed earlier. this ruined our party big time and we are is a mess situation and need to answer our 90 + guests about canceling the plan and feel very low on how we have been treated at this theater location. just want to make sure nobody else will end up with this situation. read more
