I'm kicking myself for not discovering this gem sooner! This isn't just a cafe; it's a full-blown restaurant with an incredible vibe, located right in Redwood City. It's super convenient, directly across from the Caltrain station, making it perfect for a post-work treat or a casual meal. My first visit yesterday left me thoroughly impressed. The atmosphere is incredibly cozy, and the staff are exceptionally friendly and accommodating. Everything is spotless, and I love that it's been around since the '90s, maintaining an authentic and charming aesthetic. The menu is extensive, offering everything from pastries and coffee to dinner options like fish, burgers, soups, sandwiches, pasta, and steaks. But what truly makes this place five stars is their all-day breakfast which is my favorite meal. They do breakfast right, and the portion sizes are massive for the price. We had a huge meal for around $18-20 per plate, which is fantastic value compared to other places. Also, their operating hours are a huge plus. This place opens at 8:30 am and stays open until 9 pm. That's incredibly convenient, especially since almost all other restaurants these days close by 4 or 5 pm, right when most people are just getting off work. It's really nice to know there's a great spot open after hours, at a reasonable time when people are done working. I'm already planning my next visit to try more from their menu! read more

Finally tried this place and as a breakfast lover, I really enjoyed the visit. Husband and I sat outside where the ambiance snd weather was beautiful. I had an ice mocha which had the perfect amount of bitterness to counter my sweet breakfast. I ended up ordering the breakfast combo which was perfect amount of food for the price (though I should mention that the fries are actually potato chunks). Bacon abd sausages were cooked nicely and not bitter and the eggs were delicious. Husband had the Franklin street burger which he also thoroughly enjoyed. Earlier tonight my mom and I stopped by this comfy cafe to warm ourselves up from the rain. We've been here plenty times before to enjoy brunch and the food is always filling and delicious. Tonight we ordered a chai latte and mocha with a pumpkin cheesecake cupcake and apple turnover- the chai wasn't too sweet and checked off all what I would want a chai to taste like; it paired well with the cupcake that was sweet and I especially loved the pumpkin flavor and how moist it was. My mom enjoyed the mocha and apple turnover warmed up. I found this homey, hole in the wall brunch spot in Redwood City and decided to give it a try! My friends and I went here after dragon boat practice (check out @southbaysynergy on IG) at BIAC since we ended practice at around 9 AM. We were all super hungry and decided to visit this cafe since it was one of the only places that was open. There was plenty of seating outdoors and minimal seating indoors but luckily it was early enough that we were open to move all the outdoor tables together to accommodate for our group. The cashier was definitely patient with us since we ordered one after another. I decided to order the Italian Scrambler with sourdough toast. The potatoes were good but wished it was a little bit crispier (my personal preference). You can't go wrong with sourdough toast and it was a great treat with the scrambler. I loved the amount of meat they added into the scrambler. I kinda though the slice of orange was random LOL. Overall, we enjoyed our time here and the employees were super nice towards us. I go here for lunch once every couple weeks! The staff is nice and the food is cooked fresh and quickly. You take a menu from the counter and see what you'd like to order, then place the order with the cashier, who will give you a number and then you pick your seat anywhere that's open. Don't forget about the specials they have posted on the wall to the left! Near the door. I always gravitate to the breakfast options since there's aren't many sit-down breakfast spots nearby. Breakfast is served all day :) My go-to is the Italian omelette, with avocado added, and French fries instead of the usual home fries it comes with. The Italian omelet has sausage, bell peppers, tomatoes, onions lightly grilled, cheese, and mushrooms! All breakfast entrees come with toasted bread and home fries (like country potatoes) as default. My friend ordered the breakfast sandwich meal, which is basically a breakfast entree all on top of your choice of toasted bread (wheat, white, sourdough). LOVE the French fries here!! I always get my orders with French fries! They have indoor and outdoor patio seating, very nice except be warned that the Caltrain runs by there about every 15 - 30 minutes or so, and they're required to blow the horn which is pretty loud. So don't be startled when you hear the train come by! Also, they are closed on Monday's, so don't be startled that they're closed if you are craving pizza, burger, or breakfast on a Monday. read more

I tried the Italian omelette which was loaded with bell peppers, Italian sausage, onions, and mushrooms. It came with a side of toast and country potatoes. The potatoes were so crispy and bomb! I loved how crispy they were on the outside, I do wish they were salted a bit more but other than that it was so filling and tasty. Cute cafe in a weird center near cal train and Safeway.
