This spot is downtown in sequoia station. Service was good. When ordering you need to order and pay first then they will give you a number and you choose your seating. Food was ok, there could be more flavor. The bacon was also a little overcooked. I would try this place again though!

The service is great, friendly staff that greets you with a smile. The food is good, and servings are big, in fact you can probably share a meal with a friend and be satisfied. Its a nice clean dinner with a good atmosphere and indoor or outdoor seating. If you have a large party, everyone orders their own meal and pays at the counter so you don't have to worry about the bill. There's a reason why The Franklin St Cafe has been around since the mid 90s. It will continue to be a family favorite.

Earlier tonight my mom and I stopped by this comfy cafe to warm ourselves up from the rain. We've been here plenty times before to enjoy brunch and the food is always filling and delicious. Tonight we ordered a chai latte and mocha with a pumpkin cheesecake cupcake and apple turnover- the chai wasn't too sweet and checked off all what I would want a chai to taste like; it paired well with the cupcake that was sweet and I especially loved the pumpkin flavor and how moist it was. My mom enjoyed the mocha and apple turnover warmed up. The service is always prompt and friendly- they were quite busy for a rainy night which I appreciate due to the fact that people are supporting such a great business. Thank you Franklin Street Caffe for a consistent pleasant experience.

Lots of options to choose from on the menu, and the portion sizes were quite large. The service was quick, and the employees were very kind. Side note, their salad dressing is so delicious!

Went here for lunch on a rainy Saturday. You order at the counter and then find a table. We ordered the Italian omelette and the artichoke chicken, some soft drinks and sat down. Was pretty busy, but we were lucky that there was still a table available. Food arrived pretty quickly. Both dishes were good with generous portion sizes. Would have liked some more artichokes in the artichoke chicken dish though Potatoes were great ! What I liked most about the place is the relaxed but cozy atmosphere. Staff were very friendly and made sure we had everything we needed.

I found this homey, hole in the wall brunch spot in Redwood City and decided to give it a try! My friends and I went here after dragon boat practice (check out @southbaysynergy on IG) at BIAC since we ended practice at around 9 AM. We were all super hungry and decided to visit this cafe since it was one of the only places that was open. There was plenty of seating outdoors and minimal seating indoors but luckily it was early enough that we were open to move all the outdoor tables together to accommodate for our group. The cashier was definitely patient with us since we ordered one after another. I decided to order the Italian Scrambler with sourdough toast. The potatoes were good but wished it was a little bit crispier (my personal preference). You can't go wrong with sourdough toast and it was a great treat with the scrambler. I loved the amount of meat they added into the scrambler. I kinda though the slice of orange was random LOL. Overall, we enjoyed our time here and the employees were super nice towards us. Maybe I'll try something new next time!

Food is delicious. Customer service is amazing. This place is a must when in Redwood City. Patio is nice on a sunny day. Inside is cozy. Solid place.

The umami fries were also really good for sharing. Both cocktails were great too, especially the Cadillac Margarita. We also got an order of mac&cheese which was good but tbh could skip. We did order split plates (an extra charge) but the kitchen did serve them on split plates, which was nice. The burgers were super juicy and delicious. The fries were served hot and crispy. One word of warning: arrive with an empty bladder and a working relationship with patience, because the restroom line moves like it is being reviewed by a committee. Das Bierhauz is located right next to the VTA and Caltrain station, which makes it a very practical stop before heading to a game at Levi's Stadium. There is shaded outdoor seating and indoor seating, but this place fills up fast. Do not show up late and expect the universe to hand you a table. The universe has other appointments. The beer selection is very good. We got there around 6 PM before the Austria vs. Jordan World Cup match, and the stouts were already sold out. That tells you two things: people know what they are doing here, and you may need to move with purpose. Order the huge 20 oz glass if you want to have fun. It is not subtle. It announces itself. Food-wise, the combination appetizer is a strong move for a group of three or four. It comes with hummus, crushed eggplant, olives, a cucumber-yogurt-style dip, and other Mediterranean support staff. For the main dish, I recommend the veal knockwurst with fries. It was simple, filling, and did its job without trying to explain itself. The ordering system is where things get a little loose. Seating is basically self-directed, which means the bold inherit the tables. The line to order can feel scattered, although the menu is clearly posted above the cashier. You order, pay, receive one of those coaster number things, then sit down and trust that civilization will continue. To their credit, the staff found us with the beer and food without incident. There were TVs everywhere showing Argentina vs. Algeria, and with the international crowd in the room, the energy was like getting electrocuted by friendly aliens experimenting on how to make adrenaline surges in the body lightning fast. Loud, lively, and just the right amount of chaotic. Overall, I would give Das Bierhauz a 4 out of 5. I would not want to be here when it is absolutely packed, mostly because the queue system could become chaotic like a school of fish in a class on how to properly get into an auto accident. That said, the staff were reliable, the food was good, the beer was strong, and the location is hard to beat before a game.

I rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience deserves to be shared because it involves food…read moreallergy safety based on my visit to this restaurant in early June. I have a severe tree nut allergy. Before ordering, I informed our server of my allergy and asked him to identify every dish that contained nuts so I could safely participate in our family-style business dinner. He assured me he would take care of it and specifically pointed out one dish that contained hazelnuts. Later, a golden beet dish was served to the table with no mention that it contained cashews. After taking a few bites, my tongue immediately began tingling. When I asked if the dish contained nuts, our server had to go back to the kitchen to check. He returned and explained that the dish did, in fact, contain cashews and that he didn't know they had recently been added to the recipe. This is exactly the type of mistake allergy protocols are supposed to prevent. Even after it was confirmed that the dish had triggered an allergic reaction, the plate remained on our table until I specifically asked for it to be removed. At the time, I was over six months PREGNANT and traveling alone for work. I had to take Benadryl, leave my business dinner early, miss the remainder of the evening with my colleagues, and spent much of the night vomiting, experiencing gastrointestinal distress, and recovering before a full day of meetings the next morning. I recognize that ingredient changes happen. What is unacceptable is failing to communicate those changes to the staff responsible for protecting guests with serious allergies. The next day, I immediately sent a detailed email to the restaurant's management and owner explaining what happened and asking what changes they planned to make to prevent this from happening to someone else. I never received a response even 2 months later. To make matters worse, I later learned they only removed the charge for the single dish that caused the allergic reaction, despite the significant impact the incident had on my evening, as well as my colleagues, and the obvious seriousness of the situation. I'm incredibly fortunate that my reaction did not progress to anaphylaxis. Another guest may not be so lucky. If you or someone you're dining with has a serious food allergy, I would think very carefully before eating here. A restaurant can make mistakes, but how it responds afterward (or shall I say lack of response) says just as much about its commitment to guest safety; and in my experience, that response was deeply disappointing.
