I profusely (yes, profusely) debated between 4 and 5 stars. The pizza was great. A nice, light, airy crust, good cheese, a very understated sauce. Really good if that's your style. Service was fine. You order at the counter and the pizza is delivered to your table. Pretty standard. I was there on a Friday night. It was quiet and empty at about 8. Then at about 9, they had a DJ come in. Still maybe only 25 people. I loved the music. It was mostly 90s pop/dance music (Color Me Badd, PM Dawn). They even had some cool lights. The owner was cool. I chatted with him for a few seconds when he came to "apologize" for the music. He obviously didn't need to. I loved it. Oh and the bathroom had a cool light fixture. So why 4 stars? Well getting there is a pain. You have to make a full right U turn off a main street. They do have signage that helps. But the real problem is the parking. Their lot allows maybe 6 cars total for 3 business. And my guess is employees have most of them. Other than that it's street parking and it's packed. Both me and the person who joined me had to circle the block a couple times. I still had to walk about two blocks. It was also overpriced. ~$25 for a two topping, 12 inch pizza is a bit absurd. That's more on par for a 16 inch. Also, soda is by the bottle. No fountain. Not factored in because I got the one small table, but their setup is only two small tables, one of which was "reserved". The rest were set up in long rows. They can separate them. I honestly think they should. read more

It's just ok. The first time - months ago - I ordered pizza from here it was excellent. Not sure why I keep trying at this point. Each subsequent pizza order has been just ok. Tonight's lukewarm delivery is definitely not special. 30 bucks to deliver a 12 inch cheese pizza with ham. I told the driver I didn't want the paper plates or napkins or hot peppers. That that would be a waste as I didn't need them. Then watched him throw the plates and napkins away as he walked past the recycling bin and after he dropped the packets of peppers in my yard (I picked them up) and walked away. Sigh. Pizza is ok. Not particularly good but perhaps that is because the sauce tastes bland and the pizza was barely warm. FWIW the crust is nice in that it's crispy and chewy at the same time. I know I was lazy tonight to order in but wanted to be fed and opted for something I could get a few meals out of. Still. After the first experience of the really memorable Con Todo no mushrooms pizza I kept hoping for a good order. I really think I am done ordering from here. I came in for the first time to pick up a Con Todo pizza (combo) on Monday night around 11:45pm. La Quinta called me after a late order to inform me they were out of basil for my Marguerite pizza, which I love. Our large group came around 11pm on a Tuesday and it was empty. Parking is extremely limited on their lot and you will have to drive around for street spots. There is plenty of indoor spaces and some outside for dine in and it was nice they open late. Service was amazing for only about 2-3 people working to make our group order of about 8 pizzas. Pizzas took about 20-30min to start coming out to be served. 8/10 16" Rosas 5Million $28 8/10 16" Omar's Favorite $25 For both pizzas, toppings were good amount but could use more on the edges. Both com Ontario a of toppings worked really well. The pepperoni is kind of lacking in flavor in my opinion but everything else was point. Dough was perfect thick, airy, and fluffy. "This is the best pizza I've eaten in at least a year." - my husband, on our first trip to La Quinta. Honestly though, this is some of the best pizza on the Peninsula and in the broader Bay Area in general. (And unsurprisingly it's in Redwood City - RWC is the unparalleled best food city in this part of the Bay and no I will not be taking questions.) There is just something exceptional about their dough - it might be slow fermented or enriched or something, there's just so much flavor and perfect texture, substantial but also airy, like a perfect loaf of fresh artisan bread. The sauce, cheese, and toppings were also super high quality and perfectly proportioned. I woke up the next day wishing we had leftovers (but of course we had finished the whole pie on the spot). Their pizza style is more Detroit than New York, Californian, or Chicago pizza, and it hits all the right notes. We had a tough time choosing between the combo and the Margherita, so they suggested we do half-n-half, which was perfect. I came here for the mythical Birria pizza, offered on Sundays, best to call and see if it is offered. On a whole this pizza in itself is only offered in this side of the bay area, I have not seen any other versions of birria pizza's anywhere else on the east bay, south bay, literally bay area, so they did their home work and hit there mark, definitely a must try. Went there for pick-up on SB Sunday so I can't say anything about a dine-in experience except that the interior looks nice. There aren't many parking spots in the lot and street parking is limited, so be prepared accordingly. The pizza was ready during the window given after the order received (which actually began 5 minutes after the window I had selected so factor that in too if you are ordering online). There was only one couple in the dining area at the time of pick up but they had some orders for pick-up in the oven, so the kitchen was somewhat busy. As for the pizza itself, I ordered large (16 in.) of Margherita, pepperoni, all meat, and the house combo. I liked the combo and all meat the most, but that's usually the case with respect to toppings. The margherita and pepperoni were fine. As for the crust and tomato sauce, both were very reminiscent of the best of Costco pizza before the quality of Costco puzza declined. Everyone at the party liked the pizza. If there is anything that might be a negative about the pizza, it's that it doesn't microwave as well as the best of Costco pizza, unless you lower the power setting and adjust the time accordingly, so keep that in mind if you like microwaving leftover pizza. I would get pizza there account if there is an opportunity. (I picked La Quinta because of its proximity to the SB party location.) read more

Ordered a 12" Rosa's 5 million dollar pizza for pick-up. The pizza is essentially a well executed version of Pizza Hut's pan pizza-meaning the dough is fluffy and likely enriched with milk powder or some other kind of addition. The toppings/cheese were better quality than what you'd find at fast food restaurants, but not anything close to the level of a Neo-neopolitan place. Overall, decent, but unremarkable. Is it worth the $22 dollars for a 12" pizza? Not for me at least, but I am not partial to this style of pizza. It might be worth it for someone who's nostalgic for the take-out pizzas of their youth, but wants higher quality ingredients and preparation and likes the boutique aspect of the joint. 2.5/5 read more

Being new to town, I was on the prowl for my neighborhood go-to pizzeria. La Quinta did not disappoint. We were intrigued by the distinctive La Llorona which is spicy red sauce, shredded mozzarella, hot link, onions and a medley of Jalapeños (fresh and pickled). As spicy fans, we really enjoyed our pizza though bit after bit, the spiciness really built up in our mouths. Thats the sign of great use of spice -- that it doesn't just hit you all at once but gradually builds up over time. Dough was really fresh and fluffy, rose nicely and was just the right combination of chewy and crispy. The location is a bit hard to get to from El Camino but worth the U-turn and maneuvering onto the side street to get there. We look forward to returning to check out many of the other combos. read more

I've ordered from here plenty of times after hours around 11:30pm-1:30am and they have been my go-to spot for late night munchies as I work graveyard shift around RWC. Their pizza is not too doughy like most New York style pizza spots. The crust is thin but not too thin. Always made fresh and hot. The last time I ordered the Verde pizza which is cheese with pesto and I wanted pepperoni on top but DoorDash didn't have that option. I took a chance and left a note in order to add pepperoni on top if they can, but not a big deal if they can't since there wasn't any option. Guess what? They added it on top without charging me extra! If anyone want to try that combo it is very good. Always good quality pizza every time I order here. Will recommend time and time again. & like I said they are open late until 2am I believe, but do check their hours. Update: I just received a revision to my doordash charge for $3.10.
