    Kids chicken tenders and fruit.
    Jennifer B.

Love this quaint diner. I've eaten here for breakfast, lunch, and dinner (not all in the same day), and have always had good service. They are always busy but they are kind and know their usual customers. I love that they support their local youth sports teams. The grilled ham and cheese was the perfect meal for a cold day. My youngest got their chicken tenders and fruit, which happened to be peaches. We're finally at the stage where the kids are old enough to sit on the swivel seats at the counter, which brings even more enjoyment to the meal. The interior is cozy and a mixture of booths, tables, in addition to the counter area that surrounds the open kitchen. Everything I have had here has been great. Regardless of when you come, expect to enjoy your meal and the company you're with.

Meatloaf, collard greens and mashed potatoes

This is definitely what I call, a country diner. The building has been there for many many decades, interior is dated but neat. Could us some renovation and still keep it's old town flair. It looked clean and loved. Had the meatloaf with mashed potatoes and collared greens. Hubby had cheese burger and salad. The meals were simple and okay. Nothing exciting about flavor or presentation. The staff was extremely friendly and our meal was quickly presented. We sat down around 12 noon and I will say that place filled up quick! It must be a town favorite or closest destination from work. What did impressed me was their score card & workstation system. Those cooks were hoppin, movin & groovin to get those meals out and it looked seamless. I wouldn't make a trip out here for dining but it served its purpose. Hot decent meal for a great price. Just not my cup of tea.

We have been in the Ramseur, NC area several times in the last two years for travel sports tournaments. The restaurant selections are few and far between. Thankfully today we expanded our search area on Yelp and found the Franklinville Diner. Two thing happened for us with this experienced. We discovered Franklinville which is a neat little town and we had a great experience at the Franklinville Diner. The health score was a 99.5. The employees greeted us with a warm welcome, friendly smiles and treated us like locals. The food was very good. The homemade chicken salad was amazing. The prices were very fair and the service was great. We are ready for our next tournament here so we can visit the Franklinville Diner!

It was our first time going and we loved it! All of our food was good and the service was very attentive even with it being packed in there. Their sanitation was 99 back in August and the inside is your typical diner atmosphere but very nicely designed to show the town of Franklinville!

I love this diner nestled in a cute area in Franklinville! It's like the TV show Cheers but for food instead of beer. You walk in and instantly are greeted by familiar patrons and friendly staff. The choices of meals are typical but delicious diner meals and all are good The diner is small with cozy booths, bar top, and table seatings available. All the meals my husband and I have had there have been good. It is our "go to" place for a good home cooked meal.

    Classic cheeseburger and potato salad

Frankinville diner is the embodiment of small town hospitality. We have been several times and have loved every lunch. They have a rotating specials menu and from that we've tried the chicken and dumplings and the barbecue. The shredded pork barbecue was some of the best I've ever had. So so tasty! I've personally tried the classic cheeseburger with a side of potato salad and the burger was perfection! No frills, just a classic done right! I've also had the chicken salad sandwich and loved it! Apparently the hot dogs are great too! My sister said it was "amazing!" Now for the service. It's perfect. There is no possible way for them improve upon it. You're greeted, treated like a regular, and checked on consistently. I'm so thankful we discovered this gem and can't wait to go back! A few notes: You sit at an available table. It gets busy at lunch!! There is some bar seating for individuals. You pay at the cash register when you're all done with your meal. They have some delicious cookies, pies and cakes for dessert or to take with you for later. The chocolate chip cookies, that I tried, were homemade and so yummy! There is a history of Franklinville that spans the entire wall of the restaurant. So sweet and I can't wait to go back!

Pimento Cheese Burger with Floppy Chips.

We have been wanting to go ever since they were featured in the Our State magazine. Thankfully we finally were able to pull off out first visit. (and there will be many more visits in the future) This place was hopping busy but there was one table available. Halen was our waitress and promptly took our drink orders. We were there about 1045 am and lunch starts at 11 so it was just in time to get lunch items as well. I had my mind set on the Pimento cheese burger and floppy chips for my side. My Beautiful Bride got a Bacon Cheeseburger with her favorite toppings and onion rings. Our guests with us got Breakfast plates since breakfast is served till 11. Drinks were promptly delivered and the waitstaff was amazing. Very attentive to customers needs. I was amazed watching them keep drinks filled, orders taken, food delivered and cleaning tables. As soon as people got up to leave they were bussing the tables quickly to accommodate the people waiting at the door for seating. These ladies were constantly on the move while we were there. Halen told us they were even busier earlier as some people waited 45 minutes for a seat. When our food arrived, I quickly found out why people stand in line 45 minutes for a table. My goodness, what a meal! The burgers were cooked perfectly. The floppy chips were spot on. A great mix of some crispy and some floppy. The onion rings were hot and crisp too. See pictures of our meal below. The breakfast plates also were cooked properly and were outstanding!! We missed out on the Pound Cake though. They sell out daily on that. It's a huge slice of pound cake cooked to a golden brown on the flattop grill. So, we will be going back soon and earlier in the morning to get some of this awesome dessert. Be sure to browse the old pictures on the walls of Franklinville. Lots of historical facts about this once booming town. According to Our State magazine this is a family owned and family run business. If your within 50 miles of Franklinville NC, it's worth the drive. You will not be disappointed. Thank you Franklinville Diner for an awesome first visit.

    Am I back in Miami?
    Karl K.

Both the menu and front window boast that the Franklinville Diner has the "best food in town". I should think so, since it appears to be the ONLY restaurant in town. Fortunately, their claim is legitimate, because they do serve a very good lunch that would indeed be "best food in town" in a lot of places. The dog (Nathan's) had a great taste and was served with homemade slaw and chili, both of which were delicious. The burger also had a lot of great flavor and was appropriately sized. Crinkle fries were perfect. My only complaint is that after I walked in, I stood there awkwardly for several minutes waiting for a staff member to acknowledge me and tell me where to sit. No one did. Finally a "regular" got my attention, and told me to sit anywhere. The bullet hole in the window next to my seat made me pensive about the seamier side of Franklinville, but it's cool. Soy de Miami.

Great diner in a small town. Food was great, service was spot on and the price can't be beat. The homemade vegetable beef soup was amazing.

The waiter was very polite and friendly, he made sure we had what we needed and answered any questions we had about the menu and food choices. The food was delicious! My niece and cousin had the pancake, they were the size of the plate and quite tasty! My other niece had the crab cake sandwich, she said it was good but the fruit was plated on the same plate so it was warm which was not appealing to her so she didn't eat it. I had the French toast platter with the fried chicken. The French toast was pretty good but the bread used was pretty flat but it was tasty and the chicken was overcooked, there was some black spots from being fried too long. The hit at our table was the cheesy grits, very cheesy and flavorful. We'd definitely go back to try other things on the very extensive menu!!

You can't beat that price. I ordered the Fried Chicken with Creamed Potatoes with gravy, Cabbage and hot rolls. The plate came out hot and steamy. The creamed potatoes were served with some of the daily special's gravy on it. It wasn't chicken gravy but it was a good homemade gravy. Were the potatoes real or boxed or a mix of both? I couldn't tell. If they were boxed, they fixed them up to taste real. If they were real, they sure did a great job at creaming them. It's on debate. The Cabbage was cooked perfect, seasoned well. The hot rolls were not homemade but they were fresh, light and fluffy and served warm. The star of the plate was definitely the chicken. Cooked to order, it came out super hot. It was cooked perfectly. Crispy on the outside, meat was tender and juicy on the inside. I peeled off some of the skin and juice was dripping all over the plate. It's hard to find good fried chicken and I've been trying several of the local places but so far, this place is #1. Also, the sweet tea is GREAT! The service was super friendly and attentive.
