Burger & fries were good. Very courteous staff. Only issues was it needs a good cleaning. Smelled of grease. Very packed with eat in & to go orders. Lots of locals who were also very friendly.

All I have to say is wow . We were visiting the area to visit some family. We asked for a local place they would recommend and this was it. We were told this little dive place had the best cheeseburgers. Cheeseburgers!?!?!? Yes, and they did not disappoint. This truly was a little hole in the wall dive restaurant (which I think are the best). We ordered the Paw Paw Special which is a double bacon cheeseburger and fries for 6.99. Each patty was probably a 1/4 lb and absolutely amazing. A perfect grease to cheese to bun ratio. The wait staff was so friendly and on top of it. We never had a glass that went below the half way mark. In fact they topped us all off and gave us to go cups without even asking. My onlyregret is not taking a picture of my actual food.

If you are in the Asheboro area and want a very good hamburger and hot dog, then I highly recommend you stop in at Paw Paw's Place. Paw Paw's has been family owned and operated since it opened in 2007. Their goal is simple: friendly people serving good food to local regulars and people who stop by for a meal-- perhaps after a visit to the zoo. And they deliver. Double cheeseburger: a single probably would have sufficed, but the double was excellent. They make each burger fresh when the order comes in. This is of critical importance. The burger had a nice char and was juicy and flavorful. Hot dog all the way: the all beef wiener was tasty, but it could have used a little more slaw. A generous amount of meaty chili that had a somewhat different (but good) taste. Crinkle fries: very good Sweet tea: excellent--a nice blend of bold tea flavor and sugar. This place is really neat. It is heavily stocked with locals, but I also saw a few first timers (taking pictures--dead giveaway). And the staff is very welcoming and friendly. What more could you ask for? Sent from my iPhone

This is a tiny diner located in the northern end of Asheboro. They serve breakfast (until 11:30 AM), have a small lunch steam table area. with daily specials - they close at 3 PM.. The menu calls it a buffet, but it really is a small cafeteria setup, with 2 or 3 meat choices, and some veggies. There was some heavy traffic at it at lunch from blue collar and construction folks. Meat & 2 comes in at $5.85, with bread. The outside sign claims they serve the best hamburger in town - and they just might. The hamburger meat is never frozen, deliveried fresh 3 times a week, and hand formed. This is a good size burger, full of flavor, and goes for $3.89 - nice burger. The Chili Dog ($2.09) is only so/so, chili is thin and on the sweet side, and a little pricey - would not order again. Soft drinks are $1.59, and they bring a full to go cup with your eat in order. The FF order is well sized and goes for $1.69. Unfortunately they are the ridged, rectangular fries, with little real potato flavor, although the ones here are served crispy. The service here is excellent - fast and friendly, good country folks who greet you, coming and going.

Got the Cheeseburger and fries and it was the best that I've had so far in NC. Will be stopping by again when in town.

Even when it's crowded it doesn't feel cramped. The staff is also super friendly and efficient. As far as the menu goes, I love having options that other fast food restaurants don't have. They have the good ranch which is unheard of for a fast food chain and the jalapeno ranch is on another level. My go to when visiting is always a burger add cheese, hot dogs, and chicken tenders. I love that they have sweet potato fries as a side item which I also always get. This order has never let me down. I always highly recommend dairio for anyone looking for a yummy fast option!

They are again offering a seasonal item, Chili Bean Soup - 12 ounces for $5.99, and includes sour cream and crackers! I added shredded cheese which was 50 cents additional. The chili has ground beef, black beans, pinto beans, chopped white onion, chili powder, other spices, and a touch of garlic. The chili is thick, and very flavorful , much more a stew than a soup, and I'll most certainly have it often as the temperatures turn colder. The shredded cheese added a lot to this dish, I'll double it on my next order, and ask for double the 4 saltines I received. The Chili Bean Soup, while flavorful, is mild. I added the contents of a packet of Texas Pete at various times as I ate. Between this soup and the Brunswick Stew at Honky Tonk, this is setting up to be a toasty fall and winter!

Our order was taken and food prepared as we moved down the line towards the cashier. The food was absolutely delicious! The jumbo smoked wings were the BEST wings I've had in a long time. So good that we ordered wings to go as well. The turkey sandwich with slaw and pickles was really good! I usually don't eat slaw but it was good. The thick slices of turkey were juicy! We were surprised to see a bologna sandwich on the menu and had to order it.. and WOW.. it was delicious! A bologna sandwich with mustard, slaw, chili and onions.. The gouda Mac n cheese..DELISH! The mac and cheese was amazing too - most definitely not your kraft box, that's for sure - super thick, cheesy and tasty. They have a full bar with beer/wine/cocktails. Unfortunately no bubbly, but I had a chardonnay and it washed down the food nicely. And at $6 a glass, very budget friendly. Service was prompt and courteous. Friends enjoyed their meat plates and sandwiches too. All around, quality bbq meal in a bright, spacious hall.

This was my first visit to this restaurant and I will be going back even though it is a 45 minute…read moredrive. The menu has a very wide selection of food choices. We went to arrive after the noon lunch but that didn't happen because the crowd kept coming. After throughly reading the menu I finally decided on the small plate of popcorn shrimp with a baked potato and coleslaw. Since it was my first time i wanted make sure the dish was good, and it was! When our order was delivered the oval plate was piled at least 3 inches high. I had asked for an extra plate to put the potato on so I would be able to prepare it for eating without pushing the shrimp off the plate and am I glad I did because the plate was so full I would have had to eat most of the shrimp. I was also impressed that while there was a large crowd, we were seated immediately and our orders were taken and served in a timely manner. During the short wait I saw that the staff jumped on a table to clean as soon as the guests walked away from the table. And the noise level was low and we could carry on a conversation without yelling. As an afterthought, maybe it was quiet because everyone was eat the great food. As we were leaving I saw a server bring out the regular size plate and almost fell over. It was on a round plate that looked to be 11 to 12 inches and loaded 2 or 3 inches high. As much as I can eat, I doubt I could have eaten all that! Great food, service, ambiance, what more can you ask for. I will be back soon.
