This is a very unprofessional service. I would not classify it as a business. My son's truck was there for a complete week without any type of update to the vehicle. They will not answer the phone or return messages. Very argumentative when you go to check on your vehicle. Had to get a police escort to make sure no unnecessary confusion with this place. Towed my truck away from there. Save yourself the trouble. Not worth it, go somewhere else. The waiting area is beyond nasty, the garage is a joke. This place should not be open to the public. Take this rating as below 1 star!! Being present and running your own business matters. Unfortunately it has not been so at Frank's automotive. After 10 years of servicing our cars in this shop, we got turned away by a *new* manager because we called her out for her rudeness 4 months ago. We are so glad it happened because we found CDH enterprise who are just next door on the same lot !!! I wouldn't want to bore you. But a little background to the story. For 10 years, Frank's automotive serviced our cars. Initially., their customer service was unbeatable. Subsequently Frank and his wife decided to retire and sold off to a new owner. We still maintained the relationship. Over the years with the new owner, the service and reception were unchanged. The Front Desk lady was young respectful with good etiquette. All was well until about 4-6 months ago the unfortunate happened. The young receptionist/manager was no more. They went on to hire this new lady who believes Constant aggression is the code of operation. Uncouth., unprofessional., insensitive., disrespectful., rude., aggressive. Very ghetto! My husband took our car for repairs. our catalytic converter needed fixed. I was on the phone while she addressed him. It was not pleasant. I heard the entirety of the conversation. Well after the car was fixed., he picked it up. He came back home very upset. He would not want to send our cars for servicing any longer. He Mainly complained about her attitude., disrespect, and manner of speech. This did not sit well with me. I've known this place for 10 years., I did not want to just quit because of one disrespectful receptionist. I advised we both call and address it. Otherwise., she'll keep it up. So we did. Boy was I wrong !!! I requested to speak to the manager. Found out she's both the manager and receptionist. I asked to speak to the owner., she refused to connect us. I explained that we have not been pleased with how she handles affairs or speaks to people. And how she even spoke about the previous manger who sadly had expired!! Fast forward 4 months later. We take our car in for check up. This lady comes out to stand in front of the shop., REFUSING our entry. We both stepped out of the car to inquire. She says ''well I have decided your car will no longer be serviced in this shop because you called and told me I was rude" I was in shock. Honestly. I asked., you will not service our cars again because we called to speak to you on how you handle people with disrespect ? She said "YES". And then further added that she has a strong tone and voice but she's not rude. Ok. Understandable. I asked., when did it ever become problematic to tell another how they made you feel ? At least you should be happy I called to tell you. This receptionist/manager was not having it. She stated she would have preferred my husband be the one to speak the day we called instead of me! That was her problem and reason for refusing to work on our car. We decided to leave the premise., as we drove out., we saw *CDH enterprise* a mechanic shop on the same lot !! We introduced ourselves. They were caring., compassionate and receptive. We decided to begin servicing our cars with them. Simplicity., grace, respect, kindness, go a long way to managing a company. Owner., if you're reading this., she is unfit to manage your business !! Your hard earned place is on the line. It's just a matter of time. As for her., She can run off and still get a job at mcdonalds! She cares Less ! read more

Really responsible ownership . They've worked on my cars multiple times. They are my go to!

Do you love your car? If so keep driving because this place isn't it! Long story short took my car in running fine to fix an exhaust manifold. This place kept my car for 6-8 weeks, no communication, upcharging (Wtihout my consent), etc. Here is the kicker! I get my car back and the service engine light is still on and it is running EXTREMELY rough. They are saying it is a misfire on cylinder#3 but I never heard of this issue prior to bring it to Frank. Furthermore they gave me my car back with a busted driver side tailight with scratches on it. The owner replaced the tail light but never gave clarification on how the tail light got destroyed. Speaking of destroyed - the actual tech working on my car was having problem getting the bold out of the exahuse manifold due to rust.. and he told me directly he was drilling it.... and even may have to destroy it. The ower cut me a deal to fix the cylinder for $1598.00 with labor and later refused telling me to take my car somewhere else/I just want a free repair job. The audacity. Stay away from this place- you been warned! Frank Automotive you owe me $708 + $186 + $6000 for a replacement engine. Stand by your work or close shop! read more

This auto shop is the complete bottom of the barrel. If you are looking to be ripped off to have repairs done that do not fix your problem. If you're looking to give your money away to disrespectful and rule people. If you're looking to take your car back to a shop over and over again paying different amounts of money after paying for something that it should have been fixed the first time. If you're looking for being taken for a ride. This place is horrible it's a nightmare you will never get your car fixed correctly they will refuse to give your money back this is the worst experience I have ever had in my life. read more

To be honest Frank fixes alot of issues. However his customer service sucks. He is very argumentative and arrogant when you are telling him what is wrong with your vehicle. I have a db1 device that gives me an error code for all of my truck problems. Spent 10-15mins arguing with Frank about how I got these codes. Even had to show him my device. He did all that arguing before he even tried to look at it. This happened on 2 separate occasions. Other than that, he's fine. read more

Him and his whole staff is the best! This place has worked on my car plenty of times and never once had a problem! I even know hes good when other folks come and pick me up while their working on my car, the Lyft driver said to me that him and his wife love using Frank's Automotive, so I know I will never go back to the shady mechanic S& J on Hwy 85 in Riverdale, GA ever again! Once Frank fixed what they messed up last year I havent had no problems with my car plus he now does my oil changes for me. Frank's is reasonably priced and thorough plus timing is great! Went in for a diagnostics on my truck, they told me it was 2 of my 02 sensors (which seems to be their go-to answer for everything) they called dealership to order parts and told me that they warranty their work if they pick up the parts themselves, so ok. Come back next day for the repairs, paid $596+tax, left and check engine light came back on before I get home. Went back next day to address the problem and mechanic already had his guard up and got mad at me for asking him what was he gonna do different and he threw his hands up and told me he wasn't gonna fix it bcuz I was bothering him. But they never offered any compensation for the misdiagnosis. Needless to say, I'm still outta money and my check engine light is still on with the same code it took it there for! Loud, ghetto front desk woman makes the whole environment bad. They have not heard the last of me!!! All I want is my money back!! read more

I went to franks Automotive old national highway and I am very disappointed in the Service that they did I spent $2000 for head gasket and the radiator and two weeks later the head gasket blew off and they won't fix it unless I pay for again they don't check their cars out after they work on it they Want me to pay again for the head gasket which I won't do that so I got my car sitting somewhere else where they can look it over but I did fine scratches and dents on the car they don't own up to it they do not test drive the cars after they finish it or recommend any other issues with the car so I can fix it instead of me starting over again I said I recommend send Your car somewhere else so you won't get ripped off read more

I will never bring another vehicle to this place they misdiagnosed my car and made me pay for the work I didn't need for them to keep guessing and finally realizing what the real problem was cost me a $1900 for something that could have been simple if they were qualified to fix properly in the first place. Then they try to make you feel better about how you just got screwed by saying we discounted you a lot. No you messed up so severely this was to make me feel like you used some lube. read more

I went to franks on Wednesday 3/27/19 had a great experience . Fixed my battery cable no cost.. .... Thursday 3/28 At franks all day .Paid 349.00 for Parts and labor my AC is still not working .Went back Friday 3/29 frank said I need a fuse box he's ordering the part( 277.00) with labor. To come back Monday . Before I left 3/29 my engine light is on! when I questioned frank about it he said oh it's back on I'll turn it off but it wouldn't go off and frank said the car will run fine it's a cruse controllable problem just come back on Monday. Today Saturday 3/30 my car won't START . I had AAA to toll car to franks. Charle moved the fuse box around and my car is running now. So I will go back Monday and get the fuse box replaced. Hopefully that solves my problems. I'm keep y'all posted. I hope I will be able to give a better rate on Monday. read more
