The restaurant itself is very small and, honestly, felt poorly managed on the Sunday night we visited. It appeared the manager had staffed the place almost entirely with high school-aged kids. To be fair, they were all polite and friendly, but they clearly were not trained professional waitstaff. The hostess in particular seemed completely overwhelmed and unsure of what she was doing. The food itself was average at best for the price point. Ambiance was okay, nothing particularly memorable one way or the other. We probably would have left thinking "meh, it was fine" except for one major problem. My wife ordered the seafood spaghetti, and the New Zealand mussels in the dish were BAD. Not "a little fishy" bad -- genuinely spoiled bad. The smell and taste were immediately obvious. We brought it to the manager's attention, and her response honestly shocked me more than the mussels themselves. She casually explained that sometimes they get "bad batches of mussels and you can't tell," as if serving spoiled mussels is just an unavoidable normal occurrence. That is not an acceptable answer from a restaurant serving seafood. To their credit, they did remove the dish from the bill, which was the minimum they should have done. Unfortunately, later that night my wife ended up vomiting after dinner. Thankfully it was not severe enough to ruin our vacation or require medical attention, but it absolutely confirmed our concern that something was wrong with the food. At the end of the day, average food and mediocre service are one thing. Serving spoiled shellfish and responding to the complaint with a shrug is another. We would not return.

We sat outside and even though it was a very hot day, the temperature was very comfortable under the roofed area. The Pinot Grigio was excellent! Our meal was brought out in a timely manner and Grace was an attentive server. The Caesar dressing is perfection! The diavolo sauce was delicious and just-right spicy. We loved the meatballs and the fettuccine was cooked perfectly. The pizza!!!!! Wow. Just the right amount of crisp in the crust and the toppings were a delicious combination of flavors. The focaccia with marinara could have been a meal for me. The bread was hot and crispy while also being soft and savory. I couldn't get enough of the marinara. It tasted homemade and fresh, like someone actually made it from scratch instead of opening a jar. It was creamy without being overly heavy and had such a rich, authentic flavor. What really made our visit stand out, though, was the service. I wish I could remember our cashier's/server's name because she deserves a shoutout. My son and I both have food allergies, so before ordering we needed to make sure everything was safe for us to eat. She was incredibly patient, knowledgeable, and happy to answer all of our questions. She also helped me figure out which pasta would be the best choice for my picky 7-year-old and even arranged for the grilled chicken to be served on the side instead of mixed into the pasta. That small accommodation made all the difference since my son wouldn't have touched it otherwise. The portion size was perfect for sharing between the two of us, and we both left happy (which is saying a lot when dining with a picky eater!). Between the fresh, flavorful food and the exceptional customer service, this was a wonderful experience.
