Burrata e Pomodori
Casey H.

This casual eatery offers amazing pizzas and pasta dishes at decent prices. Personally, there's nothing crazy special about Aroma Italia, but it falls in a very important category -- a trusty neighborhood Italian restaurant. You will never be disappointed with the food, portions, and the price. I usually share a pizza and salad -- and generally take home leftovers. The staff is helpful when dining in and are generally quick to get your order in and noticing when a table needs a water refill.

We like to order food delivery from here because it can be quite painful to find parking in the area. I have found their pasta dishes to be quite good, even the veggie pasta primavera which can be sometimes bland. They add a lot of veggies so you feel full from eating it. I have never eaten in the restaurant but the food delivery is always great, on time, and without issues.

$9 but totally worth it! It's imported from Italy

Came in to buy a bottle of soda, walked away with a bag of desserts! Their tiramisu is a must. It's $9 for a piece, but totally worth it! According to the employee, who was very friendly, it's imported from Italy. I'm definitely returning to try the pasta one day!

February 2026. BYOB! Bring your own glasses or borrow some from the restaurant for $5 First time I am trying this spot since the previous owner some years. I like the renovation as there is more tables to accommodate patrons that want to eat in. We came for late lunch on a weekday. We brought our own bottle of wine, glasses, and opener. Since we were drinking red wine we ordered meatballs in a red sauce and a pizza with arugula, grape tomatoes, Parmesan cheese, and was drizzled with balsamic. The food was delicious and our server. Izzy was wonderful. We will definitely be back again soon!

Pasta with meatballs and ricotta

This is a small place that appears to be a spot for the locals. It is clean and staff are friendly . We ordered a pepperoni pizza and the orchiette pasta with meat balls, and garlic bread. The bread came first and it was slightly greasy and some burnt marks on the bottom of the bread. The portion was small. The pasta came barely warm and the ricotta swirls were ice cold. The meat balls were not homemade but tasty. Although the dish was cold, the marinara sauce was the star of the show. That was definitely homemade. The portion was a nice size. The pizza that my husband ordered was mediocre. He said the flavor was lacking. We were there around 6pm and it was busy. No one came by to see how the food was and they had initially delivered the garlic bread to another table. Service was a bit slow. However, I would say give this place a try. The marinara sauce is worth trying. We are visiting from out of state, or else I would give them a second try.

First timer! They are open for your typical lunch, dinner, supper hours. Tucked away into the corner of Manoa Marketplace near the USPS PO, lots of parking available nearby. Ambiance was nice. Since we opted to dine in versus take out, we were served at our seats. Inddoor and outdoor seating available. Bugs inside FYI. Staff were nice. Tables arnt big enough to accommodate more than three plates at a time. Maybe just 1 pizza. Food itself is delicious!! This place is all housemade sauces, pizza crusts, and breads! Everything was flavorful, fresh, and just the right portion! Gooey cheese and toasted garlic bread on the side - this place satiated my cravings!

The space is undeniably cute and the presentation is beautiful, but unfortunately the pastas and pizzas didn't leave much of an impression. The flavors were flat and the noodles were just okay. Nothing really stood out. As much as I hate to say it, it's the kind of pasta you could probably make better at home. I do appreciate the quality of the ingredients, which were clearly fresh and well sourced.

First time dining here. We got early / lucky parking at 5:00pm A few people were already seated. Our server Ian, was very kind and helpful. We chose our 2-top table and got seated right away. Looked over the Menu and got some suggestions from our server. We started with the Meatball Al Sugo appetizer. Really great meatballs with tasty garlic bread. Had to order 2nd order of garlic bread! Yum! 14" PIZZA : Cannibale : tomato sauce, mozzarella, beef pepperoni, beef sausage, beef meatballs, olives, mushrooms, bell pepper, Olive oil. PASTA : Portobello Mushroom Ravioli. White garlic mushroom cream sauce. PASTA : Beef Short Rib Tortellacci : Short-rib filled Tortellini-style pasta, marinara sauce. Service & Presentation was Excellent. Flavors were good and it's definitely one our Top 5 fave Italian places on Oahu. We also met the owner Franchesco as he was entering! We had fun talking story and Reuben showed him Magic. :) Look forward to the next time we visit! MAHALO!

Bruschetta with arugula on the side.

This little restaurant wasn't bad, but wasn't good in my opinion either. There is a small parking lot which is convenient since that area tends to be busy. The servers were friendly and accommodating. There were two small tables outside for outdoor seating which was enjoyable. Now onto the food. While there was nothing bad, for the prices, I didn't find anything special about any of the dishes and nothing stood out. I got the bruschetta, and asked for the arugula on the side. While it didn't taste bad, it just sat heavy and didn't feel fresh. In my opinion the dishes looked better than they tasted. Same with the meatballs and the linguini bomba with mushrooms. While personally don't think I'll be back, I appreciate the variety this restaurant brings to the area.

Aroma Italia first timer! Diamond Head is a bit out of the way for me, but it was well worth the drive out. I would recommend making a reservation in advance. My friends and I went to Aroma Italia on a Sunday night - we didn't have a reservation and the restaurant was pretty busy with two large groups. They were still able to squeeze us in by putting two outdoor tables together, and we were eventually able to move inside once the restaurant cleared out. Overall, my impression of this place was really good. The servers were friendly and attentive, and most importantly the food was impressive. My bf and I shared garlic bread, a large pizza and pasta. We had a few slices of leftover pizza because the portions are really generous (especially for the large size pizza). I couldn't choose whether I liked the pizza or pasta more, they were both equally good! Only criticism is the parking is always difficult on Monserrat. Hope to get lucky like we did in the small lot in front or street parking.

Veggie Pasta Primavera
Ada H.

My boyfriend and I were craving pasta and stumbled upon this restaurant and were pleasantly delighted how delicious it was! Though the dishes may look simple, the flavors are delectable and filling. We ordered for to go and they were able to get our order ready in a swift manner. My boyfriend got the veggie pasta primavera and I got the Gnocchi Gorgonzola. Surprisingly the veggie pasta was my favorite. The slickness really brightened the dish and the veggies brought some freshness in the dish. The Gnocchi Gorgonzola was rich and creamy and the gnocchis were fluffy. Absolutely delicious! There were many diners around the time we picked up and many different dishes were being served. We will definitely be back to try the other items on their menu.

Large pepperoni pizza with olives

Just at the edge of Waikiki, Aroma Italia was significantly more mellow and reasonably priced than what you'd expect to find closer to the beach, which was most welcome. From the moment you walk in, you're greeted with a calm atmosphere, quiet music, and a great aroma - this place lives up to its name! We ordered the mozzarella pesto garlic bread as an appetizer, followed by a large pepperoni pizza. Both were excellent. The dough was the perfect balance of chewy and crispy without being too greasy or falling apart. The toppings were all fresh and delicious. Considering the quality of food and the location, the price felt like a steal - under $40 for an appetizer, dinner and a tip. If you need a change of pace meal from all the great Hawaiian food, this place is a must visit.

Very average. Lack of flavor. Gets the job done, but I'm very satisfying. Ingredients seemed to be a good quality.

We were stoked to arrive in time for the end of day pastries discount at 6:00. You need to buy 6 and we just made it! They didn't have the apple pastry we usually get but because of that we got to try the peanut banana cream roll which was delish! Not too sweet, with apple banana and creamy peanut goodness in the center. On the Miopastalogy side, we ordered: 1) The Special: Salmon ikura cream pasta- a beautifully cooked fetucine- "light on the cream" which made for a nicely coated but not too creamy white sauce with salmon flakes, mushrooms, spinach, capers and a dollop of ikura. Mom and aunty loved this. 2) Shoyu butter pasta- their most popular pasta also el dente, a light shoyu with bacon, mushrooms, spinach, katsuo bushi, and a pad of butter, sprinkled with nori and chili flakes over spaghetti. I really liked the flavor on this. On the Dell's Kitchen side we got: 1) Kurobuta katsu- good quality pork with a crispy breading on a delicious Japanese curry with 2 scoops rice 2)Miso salmon - attractively plated with fresh ingredients Both came with potato salad and a cabbage salad tossed with a yummy creamy sesame dressing. I got the Dammann iced tea which was unsweetened and refreshing and hit the spot. Anunexpected bonus was the $10 off we received off each bill for having spent $100 on prior visits! The crunch of the cake really gives it the extra texture that it needs in addition to the denseness of the cake itself. The cake base reminded me a bit of a light pound cake - pretty good. It also did not feel too heavy like other cakes that would give me a headache from being too rich - this one was just right. The center feature a lemon meringue type filling which reminded me of the same filling you'd find in a lemon bar. Overall the flavors melded together perfectly and I'd buy this again when I feel like a cheat day omg. The blueberry scone is also extremely famous here and I was able to nab the last few when it was nearing closing time. Their blueberry scone is huge keep that in mind LOL. Also I found it to be a bit doughy and soft. I feel like if this is your type of scone then by all means go for it, but for me personally not really my cup of tea. I still think it was delicious though! Maybe I came on an off day. I also tend to like my scone to have a bit of crumble and not too soft so that may also explain why I wasn't a huge fan of it. I'll still eat it though. LOL
