My husband and I ordered 2 slices of pepperoni & sausage and I forgot what he ordered, but we were surprised when we got our slices. Bob's is a great quick and convenient pizza option in Kailua town. It's located in the same lot as Island Snow and has lots of parking. You can order online, via phone or in person. On my most recent visit, I ordered two 19" pizzas and 12 wings online. It was supposed to take 30 minutes, but was hot fresh and ready for pick up in 20. The pizzas are Boston style, not too saucy or greasy, with a fluffy doughy crust, while the wings were Smokey and tender. The pizzas are quite large, so arrive hungry. read more

Walk-up pizza spot, ordering at a counter and waiting on your reheated pizza. Good if you've got no other options and needing pizza; otherwise I'd go anywhere else. Thinner slices served by standard, I don't recall if pan is an option but not much selection here if you've got picky kiddos. Best slice, which is two slices might I add, was definitely the pepperoni, spinach, and garlic. Whatever garlic topping/sauce/aioli used was delicious and we both enjoyed this best. Bob's favorite (version of supreme) was lackluster, the sauce or lack thereof had no flavor, little cheese, topped with thicker than usual cut veggies. We could've done without. Three stars for ease of ordering and speed of service. Probably our cheapest meal on the island but anyone saying this pizza is worthy of the stop must not have too many other options. read more

Fantastic pizza, crust , service and variety. Fast service. Outside seating but partially covered. Only advice would be to move the parmesan and red pepper flakes to another location or provide packets. It seemed the line was disrupted and tripping over eachother to get to parmesan and pepper shakers. Then we noticed customers had taken them outside in the rain and didnt return them. Packets may be more user friendly. Other than something petty, it was fantastic. read more

Talk about ruining my day. Where do I begin. I'll save you the story and jump to the part where I'm on the beach with a bunch of friends watching the moon rise. We've already abandoned the dinner I planned for myself, kids and family and someone says, Let's order pizza from Bob's I inwardly groan because every time. EVERY TIME. I have ever ordered food from this place, it has always come with a side of Fuck up. You guys never- and I mean never (I grew up in Kailua - worked at Island Snow at 16 AND Kailua Beach Cafe at 20), so know how far back It goes - get things right. Now this would be different if you had a plucky staff of people who apologized for the mishaps, but its never been that. It is always some nickel and dime workers who are burnt out from dealing with angry customers and don't give a fuck. It is painful to try to be friendly with them because they immediately have a "fuck you" attitude. Seioursly - for the last decade. It never changes. So here is my experience. My wife ordered 2 pizzas at 6:25 - Cheese and Pepperoni - not too complicated. I get an email saying my pizzas will be ready at 6:50. We are on the beach with friends, like I stated earlier, and one of them went to pick it up. She returned (and missed the moon rise), saying they didn't have our pizzas. So I then have to drive to the shop. Show them the order at 7:15 and at that point, they sa, "Oh, we've got a new system and it just came in" What the fuck. You have a system that delays a pizza order for almost an hour? Or is it just that your shitty staff didn't see it and make the 2 simplest pizzas you produce at your store? I am beyond pisses off, because its not like this is the first time this has happened. THIS HAPPENS EVERY TIME I ORDER FROM YOU GUYS! I live right down the street on Awakea Rd. So Im not some tourist complaining or someone from town who wanted a pizza while enjoying Kailua Beach. I'm done with your shitty service. No one apologized to us. I had the woman running the phone hand me a paper with %25 percent off scribbled on it - and BOB - She said she had to call you personally to get the authorization for this. Frankly, it is so demeaning I'm even more mad because I absolutely know if I try to use this, your fuck all staff will not accept it - that is a given based on my experience shopping there. They were saying that the new system is at fault. They were saying that the mainland is making the decisions so that is why the new system for ordering pizzas is an HOUR behind. I don't like to order pizza from you. I feel forced to do it and get screwed over every time. I don't know what else to do aside from sending you this email, and forwarding it to every news Yelp, and food review on the fucking island because you don't ever try to make it better. Bob. We think this pizza is the best pizza you're gonna get on island. Don't expect NY quality pizza but lol beggars can't be choosers and we do live on an island. There aren't many local people that seem to come here whenever we go, which is kinda standard (it is Kailua) but it is what it is. Parking is not the greatest but you'll find something eventually. Pizza is sold by the slice and whole pie. Slices reheat quickly. Whole pie takes about 20 min give or take. Nice selection of slices available depending bring when you go. Got the wings once we liked them. read more

It's not what I am use to in Connecticut, however it's dam good for Hawaii. They sell it by the slice for $6.95 or the whole pizza for $22.00 It was tasty and the crust was good, but I am use to a crispy crust. The only way to do this is with a brick oven that never shuts down. 800 degrees is a must. read more

I always drive by Bobs when I'm out in Kailua and take my doggy out for a shave ice at island snow. I finally made my way in to try the pizza out. I'm not gonna lie. Bobs pizza is better than Bostons. The crust is crispier and as soggy tasting like Bostons or that Bobs cook their pizza a little better. The pizza selection is similar to the ones that Boston have too. But the staff at Bobs is more friendly and serves me to return and try more of their pizzas and support local business! read more

As a recent East Coast transplant (from Boston, too!), I was intrigued by Bob's byline of "Real Boston Style Pizza" because...well, I didn't think Boston was exactly known for its pizza. Anyway, Bob's pizza is delicious, and you should try it! A "slice" is actually a quarter of a 19 inch pizza (kind of like Ernesto's in the North End of Boston), and they have a variety of by-the-slice options prepared in the service window if you just want enough for a meal (rare on the island!). Pricing is done by # of toppings. Alternatively you can get 4 "slices" and fill a box up with an entire pizza, which is fun for trying out a bunch of different flavors. I tried the Bob's Special (kind of a supreme pizza), the veggie, the spinach/garlic, and the pepperoni. They were all delicious and loaded up with toppings. I appreciated how the crust was thin/crispy but had good heft and chewiness, and a nice cornmeal coating (is that the Boston part of the pizza?). I reheated a slice the next day in a cast iron pan and it was perfection. Overall, Bob's is not cheap pizza, but it is very delicious, and it does remind me of the East Coast. read more

The slices are massive!!!! I ordered a cheese slice and it was delicious, but I wasn't expecting it to be 2 full slices. The employees were nice and you could see them spinning the dough in the back. There are quite a few tables to sit at and it's a shaded area. Not too expensive, we got 1 cheese slice, 1 other slice (forgot what pizza) and 2 drinks (water and diet coke) and it was only around $20 read more

The female employee, I think she was the manager, with the tattoos and nose ring is so rude. I cannot believe the way she spoke to me. I was jaw dropped. The pizza is mid. I would actually go back for the pizza, but I don't think I could let that employee ever talk to me like that again. read more

Advertises as Boston Style Pizza. Dont know what that mean. Thin crust, cheese kind of stuck to the dough like Trenton or the New England Portuguese style pizza. Tasty cheese on top. Not too saucy. At $25 a large pie, thought price was reasonable, compared to some of the pricey places for pizza like Ocean City, NJ that I have been to. Some outdoor seating. Shared parking lot for several stores so a little difficult if you are not just picking up. Island Snow, a good shave ice place right nearby. read more

I'm a business owner and to me customer service matters more than anything, even when the experience isn't perfect. Kono's stepped up. Everything went well from order through delivery, and the Tube Bagel was fresh and delicious. They were out of something, but called to offer a choice of substitutions. I would share a photo but it's currently passing through my digestive system and not feeling very photogenic at the moment. Ignore that silly disgusting mess attached to my original review, but I will leave the photos up because I think they are instructive for management. Mission Accomplished Kono's Kailua! Not a criticism but I couldn't communicate with the Uber Eats driver through the website app. Whoever it was found me.

There is a charming outdoor dining area in the back surrounded by flowers that made the experience feel even more special. The food was full of flavor. I ordered the chicken plate and especially loved the kimchi and pickled vegetables. Everything was fresh and the portion was perfect for lunch. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, which made the whole visit even better. I would definitely recommend stopping in if you happen to come across this spot.

Well I decided to do an early morning drive from town to Kailua to see how many I could get. I lucked out with getting 6 egg bagels! I am also a fan of everything bagels and decided to get an awe zhuga zhuga bagel sandwich and a bagel with the mesugah schmear. Then an egg bagel with bacon, egg and cheese. I was surprised at how dense and burnt the everything bagel was compared to the soft fluffy egg bagel. I am glad we didn't get too many of those everything bagels because the burnt edges really threw off the rest of the sandwiches and weren't as enjoyable to eat. The inside is spacious but not so many seats. The parking lot has very narrow stalls and is narrow for navigating with a car coming the opposite way. Thankfully I was there to just run in and pick up the bagels. Wish the town location had egg bagels!

The cashier/order-taker was very patient, and kind. As it was our first time, thoughtfully went through the menu with us. We snagged the last B.E.C. and S.E.C. for the day and it did not disappoint. Your choice of protein, choice of bagel, also comes with scrambled eggs and cheese. Also decided to try their bialy which is like a bagel, but instead of the hole, it has a filling. To which I tried their seasonal special - pumpkin spice and cream cheese, so tasty!! As for the Israeli iced coffee, it has a slushy consistency with a dirty chai-like taste to it. Not my personal fave, but my other half loved it. Overall, the bagels are nice and chewy, not too hard. And the schmears are very tasty/complimentary as well. I can see why they have been voted the best bagels in Hawaii. Keep on doing what you're doing and I'm excited to come back to try the next seasonal flavor!

I ordered an iced latte and sat out on the balcony. It was a great day to just relax for a bit. It's very peaceful and the area has grown. There are more modern shops in this little haven. Quality is just amazing and distinct sweetener. I also appreciate when we get the drinks iced, they don't over ice it like most places where you feel like you're getting ripped off, but it's like it's a perfect amount of ice. We normally go on a Sunday, so thankfully free street parking and just had to cross the street. If you go on other days, just know there's only meter parking that you have to find nearby. Customer service is always amazing and they always ask how you're doing. Some downsides for me personally, there is only outdoor seating. There is a small little bench inside to wait but overall just not a place to hangout for me. There's also only one worker so sometimes if it's busy and they're juggling orders, it'll take a bit, so I always make sure I have time and not in a rush if I go, just in case.
