While s could if old school favorites (for my lovely wife) might have dropped from the menu many years ago, sure came to love their signature cheese steaks too. Honestly I'm not going to compare it with anyone's other favorites because this just happens to be mine. The best is getting it there and reading it hot but since pandemic, the seating is minimal. You can go anywhere and get a version of a Philly cheese steak sandwich, but this one tops my list. Please tell them Frankie told you you had to go there. Honestly, just love this place Anyway. Frank's is a no fuss good value sandwich shop. They have a broader menu than mist cheesesteak places but they deliver on those too. Prices are reasonable and service quick. There are several tables inside where the tv is on and Philly decoration is all around. read more

I should've pulled it apart and showed the innards - which I will do next time. If you're a sandwich guy like me, you don't want a bunch of weird sauces or grilled nonsense or any of that on a straight-up cold hoagie. You want quality bread, top quality meats and cheeses, and good portions - and Frank's knocks it out of the park. It was fresh, you could taste each of the different meats and cheeses. The meat was delectable, the cheese was creamy, the onions and bell peppers, and banana peppers gave it an impertinent personality. The bread was soft and authentic Philly. The service was very efficient and friendly, the young lady at the register was a total cutie pie. The "dining room" was a bit of a disappointment, 6 or 7 efficient tables. The ambiance was kind of tired and grubby. I do want to mention the hand-cut fries which were very tasty and fresh. Sadly, Franks did not measure up to our uncommonly high expectations. This place is a joke. Who makes a chicken cheesesteak with cubed chicken and the bun was flavorless. I ate half of the sandwich and gave up with everything falling out of it because it's cubed chicken these guys would be run out of Philadelphia. Mid. It's a cheesesteak so it still tastes alright but the meat is way too finely chopped. The bun is way too thick for the meat to bun ratio. There is no water at the fountain so you have to get tap water from the back or something? My sister got a number one, which is a Philly cheesesteak and she ordered it with grilled onions and mushrooms, and she thought it was OK. That she would not go out of her way to go back to This restaurant. I ordered a number four, which is a number one with onions and peppers. But I asked for no green pepper, but I still got it on my sandwich. I also ordered a number 11. I think it is. It was like an Italian sub and it was OK also. Don't get me wrong Pat's was good and Geno's was great but neither one of them are as good as Frank's. Still, my biggest complaint about Frank Philadelphia is how they want to take cash only. I placed a couple big orders with Frank's and they've accepted my credit card but I think it's total BS that they don't take credit cards. But guess what, Gino's and Pat's also only take cash so maybe it's a Philadelphia thing.
