The best burger I have found. This place is so much better than the other spots. I came here because my little niece was hungry and we didn't want to sit down at a full restaurant. She loved the plain hamburger. Which is amazing because she is so picky! I had a bite and told myself I need to start going here for my burger cravings. I love the size, the patty is seasoned perfectly. The bun is fresh and not too soft. They do grill the mustard into the bun which toasts it a little bit. The secret sauce is not overpowering and doesn't contain pickles. They offer pickles as part of "the works" I really enjoy the quality of their lettuce. It has a perfect ripeness whereas other places use a much flavorless option. All together it's an amazing burger for the price. The service is super quick. I have to admit they are impressive and operate well. Next time I will have to add bacon. Maybe cheese. read more

I've lived in Costa Mesa my entire life and the amount of times I've passed by this place is astronomical. I kept telling my husband - one day we'll go there and the day finally came. He got a 5x5, I got a grilled cheese, with fries - the works style which is essentially what animal style is to In-N-Out. We thought it all tasted really good - the cheese on the fries actually melted and my husband who typically gets indigestion from meat (I know, why did he ordered a 5x5 then - the man was hungry) didn't have any issues whatsoever. The ingredients tasted different too - not like your typical greasy food that you know is going to just sit in the stomach and cause you to be sluggish. I'm not exactly sure what type of oil or meat they use but whatever the case - the food was delicious and we will be back! read more

Growing up i never understood the in n out hype altho yes it is good... I got older and my gf told me about this place, i tried it with my usual in n out details, raw and grilled onions, mustard grilled double cheese burger with chopped chilis... instead of animal fries i asked for chili cheese. My personal preference would always be this place over in n out.. burgers and food is put together so cleanly and the staff is always so energetically cool.. my 9 year old nephews didnt believe it was good so i showed them after a long day at the beach. i wanted to buy them a shirt and the friendly gentleman at drive thru gave him a shirt instead..That made my nephews day! He offered both me and my passenger free shakes and they were Tasty. The burger buns were refreshingly Fresh and soft, the cheeseburgers very well put together and tasty. We had them add pickles to our burgers and that was really good. The onion rings are Fabulous..you can Actually taste the onions and they are Not soggy and unappetizing like most other places I definitely recommend. This place used to be awesome but not anymore. Inconsistent cooking, cheaper ingredients....idk. Got a burger and the chicken strips for the kids and both sucked. The chicken was so over cooked it was like chewing on a shoe sole. Couldn't even eat it. The burger was thin and had so many toppings (lettuce tomato and onion) the kids couldn't even taste the burger. Like a salad sandwich. Hate to say but I don't think I'll be going back. Okay so this place is not that bad. I'm gonna go ahead and say that the basic hamburger is not so different from In-N-Outs and I swear they must use the same vendor for the lettuce. The fries are okay. I definitely tastes like the reuse the frying oil for chicken tenders, fries, and onion rings. I definitely would come back again but it can be pricey: $4 for fries and almost $7 for just the burger. You should try it at least once but if you want In-N-out, just go there instead. read more

My golf buddies and I got take out from Wedge in CM, bc the one who lives in CM said Wedge is like In-N-Out, w/o the long lines. In addition, Wedge has boysenberry shakes, and actually has a Flying Dutchman on the menu (burger w/ two thick slices of onion for the bun). The double cheeseburger looked good before I bit into it. However, it was pretty bland, and could have used at a minimum some S & P. On the other hand, the produce was fresh, and included a thick slice of onion. Secondarily, the fries & rings were pretty good (not pictured). Its nice to have rings vs the competition. My friend who picked up said he phoned the order in, and it was ready as promised when he arrived. He said the inside was old skool, and the staff were nice. I wouldn't go out of my way to go to Wedge. Nonetheless, if you are in the area, its a nice alternative. They have more options vs the comp, the prices are reasonable, and there are no long lines. read more

Terrible, absolutely terrible. I hope the ownership reads this. Went there today through the drive through. Lady greeted us with "yeah what do you want?" In a sharp tone. Ordered our food, multiple things wrong. My coke was a Diet Coke My breakfast sandwich had mayo even though I asked for no mayo The burger was disgusting. I say this as someone who has come here for 20 years. I only gave it 2 stars to be fair for the past but it's been a steady decline with the employees being rude and the service sucking air. This was my last trip to a dying store. In N Out won with consistency and decency. Updated to 1 star after my wife just said her breakfast sandwich is so gross she threw it away. What really gets me is the place had ZERO people, ZERO respect or kindness and got everything wrong. Never again. read more

The service was friendly and speedy, as my food was out very quickly. The food here is solid, with the double Wedge burger featuring fresh lettuce and tomato and 2 large patties. It reminded me a lot of how In N Out does their burgers, however almost but not quite as tasty. My favorite part was the shake, I ordered a large boysenberry shake, and it eas the best I have had in along time!
