Food was great and nice and hot! Staff was friendly and we even met the owner. If you want a great burger and want to support a local establishment, give it a try.

Okay so this place is not that bad. I'm gonna go ahead and say that the basic hamburger is not so different from In-N-Outs and I swear they must use the same vendor for the lettuce. The fries are okay. I definitely tastes like the reuse the frying oil for chicken tenders, fries, and onion rings. I definitely would come back again but it can be pricey: $4 for fries and almost $7 for just the burger. You should try it at least once but if you want In-N-out, just go there instead.

My golf buddies and I got take out from Wedge in CM, bc the one who lives in CM said Wedge is like In-N-Out, w/o the long lines. In addition, Wedge has boysenberry shakes, and actually has a Flying Dutchman on the menu (burger w/ two thick slices of onion for the bun). The double cheeseburger looked good before I bit into it. However, it was pretty bland, and could have used at a minimum some S & P. On the other hand, the produce was fresh, and included a thick slice of onion. Secondarily, the fries & rings were pretty good (not pictured). Its nice to have rings vs the competition. My friend who picked up said he phoned the order in, and it was ready as promised when he arrived. [[HIGHLIGHT]]He said the inside was old skool, and the staff were nice.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I wouldn't go out of my way to go to Wedge. Nonetheless, if you are in the area, its a nice alternative. They have more options vs the comp, the prices are reasonable, and there are no long lines.

Delicious homestyle burger. Healthy and not greasy like most fast foods. So fresh. They cooked the meat and the chicken while we're there.

Excellent breakfast spot in Costa Mesa…read more We stopped by this morning around 9:45 am - parking was tight but we found a spot, and there was a 30 minute wait so we sat on the patio and ordered our food and drinks. My matcha latte was excellent, and the Hot Chick Benedict (a new addition to the menu) was tasty and filling. My friends enjoyed their food too. Bill for 5 people (before tax and tip) was $110. Pull up a barstool and be a fly on the wall/people watch or step inside for a dining experience. This was my second visit here. The first time I had the Strawberry Cheesecake pancakes which were very good, a few more splashes of the cheesecake cream would have given it less dry texture. With that in mind, I don't eat syrup, so you could add that. This time we had the Mr. Presley, definitely the highlight of the meal. Do you love peanut butter and bacon? Then this is calling your name! Peanut butter rolled into the French toast and topped with bacon goodness! That sweet and savory combination that so many of us love. We also had the yogurt bowl, I know so vanilla right? Topped with fresh strawberries, banana slices, granola, toasted coconut, and other toppings, but it was pretty standard. That was to be expected. Finally, we had the Protein Lover Omelet with egg whites only. Based on the name, I expected it to be packed with different meats, but there really wasn't much meat inside. The eggs were fluffy, breakfast potatoes crispy but cold, and a side of sourdough. My meat lover omelette became a meat lover mystery... missing portions of bacon, ham, or sausage to match the description. A little about the service. Our waitress was friendly, prompt and gave us the extra time we needed to decide, which was nice because there's nothing worse than feeling pressured to make a decision. Overall, the place is creative and so are the menu options. A little about parking. Parking is behind the restaurant and can get full by 10 am on the weekends, so plan to go earlier if you want to try a weekend brunch date. Final take. The French toast alone is worth coming back for and I'd definitely return to try more of their sweet breakfast dishes!

The wait to sit wasn't too long. If you were interested, they do to-go orders too. For breakfast, I got the eggs and meat order with overeasy eggs and sausage. We knew for sure we would be getting the Dutch baby to share, but it was the separate entrees we couldn't decide on. Our waitress was super patient while we went through the menu. Boysenberry, Bacon, and Brie Grilled Cheese - If you like boysenberry, this dish will not disappoint you. It was extremely generous with boysenberry jam on it. So much that I actually removed some to try with the Dutch baby. This works very well if you can do sweet and savory flavors together as the bacon brings out a bit of saltiness. Vietnamese Pork and Egg Bowl - My cousin ordered this so I only got a small bite. The pork was so soft and tender. I love grilled pork too, so this tasted amazing. Dutch Baby - We tried a bite of it plain. We like things more on the lighter side, so we were okay with how little sweetness it had. Then we squeezed lemon over it and added powdered sugar like our server recommended and man the lemon was the magic. It's like biting into two completely different things. As plain, it's like a soft and super thing pancake. With the lemon? It really brought out a strong citrus flavor complemented by something fluffy and light.

And it came from a breakfast joint, which is super rare in and of itself. Having lived in Southern California for many many years, I thought I had seen and experienced just about everything in the way of good places to eat. As I was driving around looking for some breakfast, I stumbled across oeb breakfast. And I am so glad I did. For starters, when you walk through the door, the place is bright and Cherry and has just the right amount of whimsy. It's neatly laid out and everything is in full view. It only took a moment my server to come get me at the front and direct me to a table. Let's talk about the service. Having been in the food service industry, I know what it takes to have a great dining experience. Caesar, who was my waiter, took care of me in a level that I have not seen in a very long time. Personable, gracious, accommodating, and helpful are just a few of the words I would use to describe my experience being served by him. I asked for coffee and water and within moments it arrived on my table. Side note, the coffee is off the chain! It is a brand called Umbria and it is amazing. After scanning the menu, I opted for the beef bulldogi Benedict with the beef Tallow fries. I asked for the fries extra crispy, and ask for my milk to be served with breakfast. If you've read any of my Yelp reviews on breakfast places, you know that that is one of my litmus tests for the accuracy of the order. If I have to ask for my milk after the meal's been delivered, they're not doing their job. Not that I'm picky, for me. It is just a way to determine how good of a listener the server actually is. It didn't take long at all for the food to be delivered. The presentation was absolutely amazing, as we eat with our eyes. First, I have to say that the way the food was plated was definitely a work of art. Once the food was dropped off half of me was going. I wonder if they will remember... And before I could finish my thought Caesar showed back up with the milk. Home run! The food itself was absolutely wonderful, I cannot remember when I have enjoyed a breakfast as much as this one. All the flavors were there, it was perfectly balanced, and was just a pleasant dining experience overall. Bragging on Caesar again, as I was sitting there, the restaurant started to get very busy, he handled himself with such Grace and poise and didn't let the mounting tension frazzle him. Again, I wish this place was in my hometown so I could come here more often, but you can bet that I will be back here multiple times. Bottom line? There aren't many places that I would tell friends they definitely absolutely had to go to. But oeb breakfast is now on the top of the list for me to recommend to my friends.
