This is my favorite pizza restaurant in the area . I went to Franks tonight with my love we had a wonderful dinner very surprising since I am from nyc area and we are huge food critics . I had chicken Murphy with sausage over rigatoni excellent dish . The waitress we had was very nice and attentive to all our needs . Good standard pizza oven pizza. Not brick oven. But good regular pizza. Good pasta(although a little pricey for pasta). Decent sides and salads. Busy on Fridays and Saturdays. (Lent was crazy busy. Good for them!) Sit down. No delivery. Big selections of ready slices. Friendly staff. read more

My son got married last week and we had the rehearsal dinner at Frank's. The menu is incredible; nothing here in Oregon approaches it. I settled on two entrees that I haven't found in any restaurant here. The service was absolutely the best and the food was over the top delicious. so i ordered food tonight for my family .. I wanted stuffed shells, my oldest daughter wanted stuffed shells and Pizza and my youngest daughter wanted stuffed shells. My wife opted out and preferred a chef salad.. Well i called and placed my order with the MORON that could barely manage the english language.. I asked if i could get 3 orders of children's stuffed shells(3 pieces each ) thinking i could get by with a couple shells and some pizza. The moron on the other side of the phone asked me why i don't get the full sized order of shells because it was more shells and it comes with a salad and bread.. i was like OK and asked for only 1 order of stuffed shells to feed the 3 of us.. The moron went as far as to tell me that there were 12 shells in the order(which honestly doesn't seem like a misrepresentation for $13.00 so i drove the 15 miles to Franks to pick up my food and PAYING went with out a hitch 35.00 at the 35.00 cost i assumed the moron got the price wrong but that was OK as long as there is enough for everyone.. well well well i get home and My daughters are running around happy that their food is here, i get them seated and their hands washed and i crack open the stuffed shells and BAM!!!! there's 5 shells in the container.. WOOOHOOOOO i called and the girl that answered the phone(sounded very nice) explained that there are only 5 shells in an order.. I have Owned Italian restaurants (in Manhattan) and been a chef for the past 26 yrs and i can tell you , This guy is a complete culinary MORON!.. yea , I said it.. His food is second rate at best, his help, If it wasn't for them being attractive would be worse than the food and the counter guys, well The main GUY is a good guy but the MORONS in the back need to show some type of resident ID or something , Learn The Language(properly) and stop answering the phones.. I go in for lunch today with my husband. I order chicken Marsala, and though angel hair pasta was offered as a pasta by our waitress they wouldn't allow me to have it. I offered to pay more for it as it's what I wanted. Another girl came over and said it would be too big of a portion and wouldn't allow it. just lost our business! We walked out. read more

This place is slacking badly. The ladies bathroom has had a leak for months....small puddle under the sink. Not to mention loose faucet.....just such a turnoff especially standing in a puddle when washing your hands. So more importantly we go there to eat and the place is freezing. It's 14° outside so we expected to eat somewhat in warmth. Not the case.....the restaurant was freezing. They have a constant draft coming from the back door near the bathroom. And employees constantly go outside through that door causing an arctic freeze while eating. We asked our waitress for some heat.....she obviously didn't have control but management must be been cutting back due to their 2 pizza special. Very disappointed. I gave 3 stars because if the waitressdidn't knew how to heat my slice of chicken pizza up they would have been given 4 stars, it was good for cold pizza I prefer it hot and she put it in the oven twice for me so I just ate it cold. read more

What a great place. When we walked in, we could tell it was a popular joint. We sat down comfortably in the back and ordered some good, hot Italian food. Well, not entirely. We came here for dinner while on vacation at Camelback Mt. not expecting too much as ts in a strip mall and Italian restaurants in strip malls don't typically lure me in but we were in need of good food and reviews were good. I have stopped here twice. The first time I stopped was right before closing time for take out and the second I had a sit down dinner. Both times I was greeted with smiles and given excellent service. Compared to other Italian restaurants in the area, the food is excellent. Went there for a family dinner. We ordered a grandma pie and 4 sodas the pie cake out after 20 minutes and was burnt. When the waitress asked how everything was we said it's burnt. She was apologetic but it wasn't her fault. She didn't cook it. The pizza had no flavor at all. Out of four people 2 of our drinks were empty half the time we were there. When we went to pay for our meal the guy at the register didn't even ask how everything was. We frequent here a lot but after tonight's experience sad to say we will not be returning and franks just lost loyal customers. There is no consistency in the quality of food. Not the first time we have been disappointed but we figured we should give it a couple more chances. Now we have been disappointed enough without anyone trying to make it right. read more

This is a great restaurant. The pizza and Italian dishes are excellent. The service is attentive and the atmosphere is relaxed and the restaurant is clean. I enjoyed the ability to bring our own bottle of wine. It's always hit or miss when you're traveling with your family in an unfamiliar town and trying to find a good restaurant. This Italian restaurant is really good. The servers are really helpful and you can see the pizza being made right in front of you. They have an extensive menu with a multitude of pastas, pizzas, and sandwiches. There isn't a long wait, and any wait is worth it as the food tastes delicious. A really good Italian Restaurant. The Veal Sorrentino is HUGE and really really good. One of my very favorites! I say, give it a try! The BYOB is great. The give you wine glasses and make sure your BYOB is kept cold, too. You can take your time and you're never rushed. The bread could be better. But the prices are really good. Well, we recommended by a soon to be ex friend to savor the authenticity of what could best be described as "oh my goodness what am I eating?" But let's start at the beginning: the waitress was pleasant if not very conversant on how to entice the customers on the best house dishes. The garlic bread was actually very good. We ordered the baked lasagna, personal pizza and eggplant Parmesan. The baked lasagna was very salty. Not sure if it was the sauce or the cheese which I carelessly sprinkled. I'm not sure if I can describe the pasta but the sauce tasted rather tinny and it began to separate and colored water seemed to be rushing off the plate. The Parmesan dish did not get raves either. The only words I heard were "another disappointing recommendation. Of course I tasted the pizza and all I can write is that the pizza place on 40th and 9 has a better $1 piZza than what we got. Stopped by here and was pleasantly surprised with the food selection. The pizzas are HUGE! I cant recall our waitress' name but she was very friendly. The bathrooms are clean, and the pizza makers (is that what they are called?) are clean and hygienic so thats a plus too!
