Completely inept people. Didn't start making my order until I got there then proceeded to load it with cheese and sauce and took it out nice and early so when I got home I had soup pizza and had to heat in the air fryer to complete cooking from the nasty soupy pizza I received. We won't be coming back. Maybe the people running the place can grow a brain and learn how to take an order and fully cook a pizza instead of overloading it in a hurry to rush out an uncooked product. So nasty it's indescribable It's truly impossible to get good service in this area. It's been eight years since I last went to Ollie's, and I have to say they're grown up well! I went to Litchfield Restaurant Week, and where once I found their pizza with bad cheese, it's now a real pizza with flavor! It's a thick crust, and has a nice crisp to it. It was a potato pizza with purple potatoes, so aesthetically pleasing as well! The caprese salad is also very mature, and plates with a patient hand. The Greek donuts - they're small and have a nice coat of honey, and make it hard to stop at just one! There was also a Yelp offer for their buffalo fries - they're crispy potatoes with a great dipping sauce. I'm not a fan of buffalo, but I like these chips. The server was very friendly, and even walked my food to me instead of having me go to her. The store is very warm and cozy, and extremely clean. It was a very different experience... We were in the area checking the local stores. I kept smelling something great and I finally decided it had to be Ollie's Pizza. We kept shopping, but finally we were starting to think about a light late lunch. I checked all of the local walking restaurants via YELP and believe it or not Ollie's was the highest on the close area. Good enough for us to go especially after thinking about it for an hour. We were obviously not unhappy. This was definitely better the average for the actual pizza. The.waitress was so concerned about her feeling that the chef over burnt the pizza she made the chef start again. When we received the bill she discounted our price as she felt we were forced to wait too long. We never complained, the waitress is just a natural better then average waitress. For the OWNER/Mgr: Although we never complained, we were well aware how long it took. I would have left, and probably would not have given you a positive review. I probably would have just ignored altogether. Nothing negative, just ignored. Be well aware that because of your waitress I left extremely happy. Truthfully my biggest good regret leaving Bethel CT was Capri Pizza . After moving to Litchfield and trying some of the local places, Ollie's has become our go-to. 1. The boneless bbq wings are amazing!! I don't even love or order wings regularly but these are a must. The sauce is the same on the bbq chicken pizza. The pieces are perfectly fried and more like chicken tenders. I air fry them the next day, if they last that long. 2. Ordering online is super easy, with lots of options and custom pizza, you can do half and half or whole of specialty pizzas like the Classy Pie or Pizza Wolf. 3. After some inconsistencies with orders (which were always corrected by the staff) it's been smooth sailing the past few times. read more

A quickie update: We're a bit happier with Ollie's lately. For one, they've got their delicious warm spinach salad back on the menu. Two, they still make good burgers, and the sides (mostly fries for us) are good, too. Wish they used better, thinner buns, but .... The wraps are yummy, but the pizzas still aren't up to some of the better pies round town. They are too chewy, too light on toppings, and, we'd suggest skipping them. Stopped in today w/ the wife for a late lunch. We ordered a calamari appetizer and a large pizza (1/2 Margarita, 1/2 sausage). Calamari was bland, flavorless. Pizza that came out a while later was better -- crust was slightly dry, but it was edible. Cheese & toppings were good, my wife didn't like the sauce they use though. Overall all, it was still better than most Greek pizzas we've ever had, certainly better than any in Bristol, CT (the Land of the Greek Pizza). Ordered 3 pizza for $53 and added a $10 tip and when I got to my friends house with the pizza's one side had no cheese or mushrooms on it and the crust was burnt they couldn't eat the crust, the other two pizzas the crust was so thick it was like a dominos pizza. We are visiting Litchfield for the weekend. This local place had good Yelp reviews, so we checked in to get our free buffalo fries. This alone, well worth the visit. We shared a large Gorgonzola Pear salad. The picture is after we each (2) took a good portion. A small would probably have been big enough. We then shared the Basil Grilled chicken sandwich. Fries with Gorgonzola cheese. Everything was delicious, great service. My only regret is we should have had less cheese, on something, anything. We are over cheese for awhile. read more

I live in Miami Florida and was visiting family in the area. Before returning home I wanted to go into New York and get some pizza. My dad however talked me out of it and said that the best pizza was Ollie's pizza. Never one to criticize pizza until I've tried it, we ordered a large mushroom and olive pizza. When it was presented, my face dropped; it was like looking at a pizza art (pun intended). I didn't know whether to eat it or hang it up on my wall. This is one of the best pizza pies I've ever had. I place it up there with Gino's East deep dish in Chicago. If ever you get a chance to be in beautiful Litchfield County Connecticut, do yourself a favor and stop by. You won't be disappointed. We went for the pizza and weren't disappointed. Most were here for take-out and they were a little surprised when we said we wanted to eat in. There is no ambiance, per se, however the cozy table in the window was perfect. The service was excellent, the food was very good including the Greek salad. I did not like the kalamata olives but the feta, dressing, etc was very good and fresh. We had a lot of meat on our pizza which was also very good. Really decent pies . . . just right for a Thursday night pizza. We stumbled upon the pizzeria while staying in the area for a staff retreat. It was a delightful find. Don't let the decor put you off. As it might look a bit run down and although it has a less than stellar curb appeal, it's a fine small town New England pizza joint with a wide selection of toppings and a decent pre-prepared crust. They even haven GF crust (Udi's crust) and a good number of regional draft and bottled beers. The staff are super kind and very helpful navigating the menu. Ollie's is a casual hometown pizza joint in the center of Litchfield by the green. I came here after realizing Bohemian pizza was closed for, what looked like, renovation. One thing to note is that the pizza here is different than most places in Connecticut. It is a thicker dough with high crust, sweeter sauce, and more cheese. A small 12" is plenty for two people since the thicker slices are more filling. Yelpers who check in receive a complimentary order of buffalo chips (October 2017). The buffalo chips were awesome. It was like a waffle fry type of potato with a great crispiness on the outside. Service was friendly, but not memorable. Although I wouldn't go out of my way to visit again, this is a great place to stop in for a casual lunch if you're in the area. read more

Chock full of ingredients. I can't say that the dressing was wonderful, but you're in the middle of Litchfield County --not exactly a food mecca. The pizzas--however-- were not good. Like bad bread. The dough has little flavor. The texture is overly smooth (like a toasted dinner roll). Needless to say, it gets rock hard very quickly. The toppings didnt do it for my either. These pizzas reminded me of something I could buy in the freezer section of the supermarket. I don't really think this stuff qualifies as pizza. It's more like pizzabread. There's another place that delivers and, IMHO, i think they make a better pie. read more
