what's the point of making an appointment if you're just going to overbook and ignore it? i scheduled this two weeks ago to get my front plate installed and my tire sensors recalibrated. dropped my car off at 8:30 a.m., the place opens at 7:30. i was there early. they checked me in at 8:45. guy tells me they'll take a look and notify me through the app or via text. cool. except... i got no updates. nothing. i texted them myself around 3 p.m. asking for an update -- nothing back. so i finally decide to call, and that's when they tell me the car isn't even going to be looked at today and won't get touched until monday. are you kidding me? you didn't warn me it'd take days. didn't say the appointment was basically just a placeholder to drop the car off. i was the first one there -- how does that even make sense? how are other cars ahead of mine when i dropped it off right after you opened? if i had a regular job, i'd be losing a full day's pay just to be carless for the weekend. i make over $30 an hour. do the math. and what do i get for wasting my time and money? a free oil change. thanks. appreciate the bulk oil that costs you nothing. never again. this is my last chevy. i'm done. toyota or mazda from now on -- at least their dealers know how to treat customers with some damn respect. read more

I have bought 6 vehicles in 20 plus years in Little Falls including 2 corvettes! I placed a $1000 deposit and signed the sales order form for a new factory order for a C8 ZR1 back in 2021. Last Friday I met with Mark the General Manager who informed me they would not be honoring the signed agreement at MSRP! He told me I would be stealing the car at that price! GM sets the MSRP and frowns upon dealers marking up cars above MSRP. Despite that Mark informed me that they had an order for $150k over sticker and that would supersede my order that was the #1 order ZR1 placed. Just the way a long term customer wants to be treated? Needless to say my 450 member Corvette club knows of this order from 2021 and will be mortified to hear the above . Many of them have also been customers of Schumacher over many years. Warning don't let the Little Falls Schumacher Chevrolet service department anywhere near your car. In early 2024 the check engine and the StabiliTrak warning lights came on in my Chevy impala with a loss of horsepower where the car would have a lot of trouble going up hills. So, I brought the car to the Schumacher Chevrolet service department in Little Falls. At first, I dealt with the manager Leo. They take the car a month after making the appointment, and "fixed" the car after working on it for 3 or 4 days. Just a side note, when I inquired about the status of my car on a Friday, Leo told me that the car was not looked at because on Fridays, the mechanics call out of work. Isn't that nice that the mechanics get a little "me time" on Fridays to stop and smell the roses while I don't have a car? Did Schumacher give me a loner car, so I have transportation while they sit on my car? Nope. Apparently, Schumacher Chevrolet expects me to hitchhike to get around. About a week after they "fixed my car" the same problem occurred, so I bring the car back and was told that I had to make another appointment. The first available appointment was about a month out. Are they kidding? Just to review, they were supposed to fix a warning lights/power loss problem with my car, the same problem happens again a week after they "fixed" it and now I must wait a month for them to fix this problem which should already have been fixed. Even though it's the same warning lights/power loss problem Leo did his best to find ways/excuses to keep charging me to fix the same problem. Leo charged me thousands to get this problem fixed. Here is the rundown, I schedule the car to be fixed which takes a month for the car to be looked at, they tell me the car is fixed, I get hit with a hefty repair bill and about a week or two later the same problem occurs. Can you say rip off? How about dishonest or poor workmanship? On one occasion, I went to pick up the car and before I could even drive it out of the service department parking lot the same warning lights/loss of power problem happened again. Unbelievable. Leo finally leaves the Little Falls Schumacher service department and is replaced by Don. Don is a good guy. He saw that I paid thousands of dollars, told me that he would not charge me for the repairs for the reoccurring problem and he kept his word. Don at least cares about customers and is willing to stand by the dealership's work. At this point when I bring the car in for the warning lights/loss of power problem, I don't have to pay which makes me happy, but the mechanics working there still can't fix the warning lights/loss of power problem. For the better part of a year the warning lights/loss of power problem continues to happen, they "fix" the car, a couple of weeks later the same problem occurs, and I must wait a month to get an appointment to bring my car in. April 2025, (over a year of this reoccurring problem) was the last time I brought the car in to fix the warning lights/loss of power problem. True to form the car sat in the service department for a couple of days without being touched, so I go to sales manager Joe Puga to try to get some help. He gives me a song and dance about the service department being short staffed, the "service technician" who worked on the car was off that day and he needs to work on the car being he's familiar with the problem. So just to review, my car was not being looked at because this "service technician" who could not fix the car was off and they need him to be there to work on the car so in a week or two it can break down again. They finally "fixed" the car after a few days and when I went to pick it up one of the service managers, Tony gave me attitude saying Leo left him with my problem car, was upset about it and they did nothing to the car other than just clearing the code. Sorry to upset you Tony expecting you to do your job. Do you also complain when you get paid? I went to the back to talk to Don, and he was honest with me which I do appreciate. He told me that the mechanics that work there just were not able to figure out the problem, which at the very least is an honest answer. He also said that he tried to get an engineer from Chevrolet to come over and fix the car, but the car is no longer under warrantee thus Chevrolet will not send over an engineer to fix the car. Don at least tried, but as for the Chevrolet company, turning down a request for an engineer to fix a problem that's been going on for a year makes me want to buy a Ford, Dodge or Toyota for my next car. Just to be clear I think Don is knowledgeable, fair, and honest. Don at least tried his best to help me which I appreciate. If everyone who worked there was like Don, my car would have been fixed a long time ago. But unfortunately, he's the only one who knows what he's doing and cares about the customers. read more

I dropped my car off to look at the oxygen sensor they had replaced about a year ago because I was having the same problem again. The dealership had no rental so i had to rent a car. The next day no call so When my husband called he is told they are waiting for a transmission expert, He says why we need you to look at the oxygen senor, They said that not what in the note. We have no idea why they would put that in the notes but we tell them again what we want after THREE days of phones call they tel us its a SPARK PLUG!. I get my car back and now my steering is shaking any my ac doesn't work. BEWARE of this place!!! I went here for 10 years with two different car and they WERE great. I always feel comfortable bringing my Chevy here for service. I'm usually able to get an appointment at the time I want. I usually wait with my car for the typical oil change and tire rotation. The whole process takes MAX maybe an hour. This is great for me because I am able to come in before work and still make it to work on time. The service staff are very friendly, and they seem like they really care about you. It's not like some dealerships who try to scam you for every penny. The waiting area is really nice, they just redid the whole building recently and it needed it. There is a large tv, magazines, coffee, vending machine etc. while you wait. I will continue to take my car here as long as I am a Chevy customer. read more

BEWARE!!! Two months ago I took my car into service to get a nail removed from my tire. While the car was in service they destroyed my brand new custom carbon fiber splitter that was installed for ONE week. In addition, they left adhesive all over the wheel they replaced and lost my wheel cap..... Mistakes happen and had they owned up to their mistake and fixed the car I would have been mad, but forgiven the incident. Instead I am first told that no one admitted to doing it and the car was taken directly back into service and put on a lift so there's no way they could have damaged the splitter. I say it's a week old so look at your video cameras. I am told the only video cameras they have are too grainy to make out any detail. So instead I am told they take pictures before and after service. Sure enough no damage (outside of rub marks underneath the splitter) and after pictures were not taken.... The tech who is also present says the car was not only parked alongside the building prior to going into service, it was also not put up on a lift... It was jacked up from the rear. After all of this the dealership says we will fix it, but we're not paying the shop you had to it because it's too expensive. I am then told they called the company and they wont have parts until August. Well it's August and still no response to my follow up e-mails checking on status. So I call the shop who did the original install and they say the splitter is in stock and they can have it within a week. I have been a loyal customer and die-hard chevy fan and have put a lot of sweat and money into this car. I would never treat someone this way and your lack of response and treatment over a few hundred dollar difference is appalling. I will post pictures of the wheel when I find them from previous e-mails to show how poor of condition the car was returned to me in from that aspect as well. read more

When my husband and I arrived for our 10am appointment no one had any idea who we were supposed to see. We were told we are going to see Joe, but Jim would help up first. We never spoke to Joe, and Jim informed us we should have never been called because we have 6 months left on out lease. They don't seem very organized here, and when I spoke to the GM he at first didn't sound interested but told us he would look into it and said we shouldn't have been called in this early. I had an appointment at 11 AM. I sat in a line of cars for 40 minutes with no one approaching my vehicle to check in. Cars parked behind me, blocking me in. I was in line for 75 minutes. When I finally saw a service agent, he told me I was only scheduled for an oil change and my checking an intermittent check engine light would take the rest of the day (this was not what I was told when I made the appointment). I was not prepared for this. But for a young lady who moved cars for me to escape, the rest of the employees were rude and not accommodating. After an excellent experience purchasing a Certified Used Buick, I found myself paying over $1,100 to replace the brakes only 8,000 miles later. GM said it is up to the selling dealer to verify that consumables like brakes have at least 50% life remaining before they are allowed to sell as Certified Used, and my previous Buick went over 50,000 miles before needing brakes, so clearly they either didn't inspect the vehicle properly or cheated on the 50%. Very disappointed in them. Another visit for an oil change and replacement of windshield wipers. A couple of days later it rained and I turned on the wipers to find out that one was missing. Called Shumacher who told me their tech forgot to install one of the blades. I had to make another trip to have it installed. Overall, my initial happiness with the sales experience has been replaced with aggravation and lots of needless expense in the service department. I'd go elsewhere. read more
