We took our 2015 Chevy Suburban to Schumacher Chevy-Buick (SCB) in Boonton on 6/22/2021. The…read morepurpose of the visit was a noise heard in the rear of the vehicle when coasting and your foot not on the gas. It might be worth mentioning at this point that I am a formerly ASE Certified automotive technician and graduated from automotive technical school with a 4.0 gpa before working for Mercedes Benz Corporate office in Montvale, NJ. I don't typically repair much on my cars anymore as I'm not longer in the industry. What I do still do are belts, brakes and basic repairs not covered under warrantee. Because we were still under the mileage, we thought it worth taking a shot to see if the dealership would cover this repair as I knew it was drivetrain (100,000 miles of 5 years) and we were in our 5th year of ownership. When we arrived at SCB, Darlene from the service counter asked us to describe the noise and we mentioned it sounded like a bearing noise coming from the back of the vehicle. She explained that there would be a $149 charge for a diagnosis but if we decided to have the issue fixed the $149 would be applied to the cost of repair. We were then directed to Wayne in service. When we asked the time would could expect for repair Wayne was short in his reply but mentioned that they had had some cases where folks needed to wait three months for their car to be repaired. I'd also like to mention at this point that my wife was dropping off the car. Unfortunately, this continues to support the poor experience, especially women are subject to in the automotive industry. Wayne told my wife she'd hear back from them in the afternoon as to what they found. That afternoon they called us to inform us their inspection had found that the front brakes, routers, rear brakes, routers, and the entire rear differential needed to be replaced. When I asked more specifically what was producing the noise I was told it was something in the 4-wheel drive system. We asked that they take no action and went to go speak in person and better understand what we were dealing with. When we arrived Darlene told us that the routers were "destroyed" and it was very unsafe to drive. Additionally, she mentioned that there were 0-1MM of depth on the brake pads in the front and the rear pads were barely better. When I asked about the noise and addressed again that was the purpose for the diagnosis, she said it was part of the 4-wheel drive system. When I pressed a little further, she said it was part of the rear drivetrain and that it was very complex. When I asked her specifically what it was and began mentioning things like, wheel bearings, ring-and-pinion, etc, she said that they wouldn't be able to tell without taking the rear differential cover off. I asked what the $149 was for if I didn't get a diagnosis and she said they did diagnose the brakes. This was a bit combative at this point so I simply looked to qualify what she had put in our quote. The entire rear differential (including the housing itself) was quoted as needed to replace. When I questioned this she said they didn't know if it would have to be replaced so they just assume they have to replace the entire rear end. Upon arriving home, Wayne (second service department person) called to apologize and said that he wasn't there in the morning but had been out on training (further showing a lack of responsibility and looking to pass the buck). He went on to explain we would have never had that experience had he been there and to please bring the truck back so that they could diagnose it properly. I asked if that wasn't what I was supposed to have gotten the first time I brought it and he said, "Well yes but if you bring it back we'll do it this time." This brings me to verifying the claims made now that I've had a chance to dive in. You will find a copy of the quote, along with pictures of the actual brake pads I pulled off of the vehicle the following week. The rotors are also in find condition with again the issues we had requested details on were related to the rear differential. This brings me to the question as to whether this is incompetence or criminal. In my quote Darlene told us that the pads were 0-1MM. The lowest of all the pads removed was 5MM with 7MM also present. I will not visit this dealership again in any capacity due to my lack of confidence that they will/can do the right thing. This is ownership down, so any area of business in my opinion is suspect. Be safe out there and if someone over-sensationalizes the statement (these rotors are destroyed, the shocks are leaking fluid right now, the parts are literally collapsing on themselves - all said by Darlene during out time at the dealership) probably worth second guessing.

Great experience working with Seamus from Paul Miller Audi in Parsippany…read more I was having trouble finding a district green Q5 for months when I came across a TikTok of this dealership with the color I wanted. I DM'd them and they reached back out quickly saying they would have Seamus work with me since it was his video that got me in the door. I had previously went to closer Audi stores but they were rude or didn't want to be bothered because they'd have to order the car for me. Instead, they kept trying to push other cars on me or would ghost my calls/txts. This dealership was over an hour away from me but chose to go with them because of how Seamus treated me. From the beginning, Seamus was very communicative and receptive to the things I was requesting. I hadn't bought a car in 12years and had heard horror stories with the game playing.I told him off the bat I wanted everything handled over the phone and to just walk in day of, sign, and leave. He did exactly that. We had to order the color/model car which took 4 months from start to finish but was worth the wait. The whole time Seamus kept me in the loop, answered all of my millions of questions, dealt with my crazy, kept me updated, and answered me back quickly. Transparency was super important to me and everyone I dealt with was very transparent. They explained everything to me every step of the way, had all the paperwork ready and signed before I even got to the dealership and when I got there all I had to do was sign with finance and I was out the door. When I got to the dealership I was greeted right away. The showroom is big and bright. They have a nice coffee area and Seamus even offered us coffee and water. Working with Seamus was easy and working with finance was too. I was told about everything but nothing was pushed on me. If I said no to something, it was a no. No questions asked which I appreciated. I was in an out in under an hour. After, Seamus took the time to set up my car for me and show me as much as he could before he let me drive off the lot. I have since asked him questions and he continues to answer me promptly even though our sale is complete. I never felt like I was just a sale or that I was being taken advantage of which was important to me. Seamus made my buying experience seamless and stress free. Not to mention I love my new car! Thanks!

They treat me like family! They are thorough with their service, very considerate with cost, and great people! V-C is family-owned, family run, and treats its customers like family. This is feedback for Ford Corp. Ford has made a mistake twice by discontinuing production of the Taurus, and their drop in sales is indicative of customer disappointment. The first time they stopped production of the Taurus, they replaced it with The Ford Five Hundred, which lasted only a few years, and they wisely brought back the Taurus. Now Ford went all in on EVs and no longer has a standard sedan. I will need to replace my current Taurus, which has 100,000 miles, and I am struggling with how to replace it with a new non-EV Ford sedan. I may have to settle for a hybrid SUV, which does not make me happy. I've been advised by friends to get a different brand of car, but I will not go to another dealer. I've explained why I will not do that, but at this point, it's a choice of which car is the least objectionable for me. Ford needs to listen to its customers.

Always helpful, always listens, guides us through the test drive, purchase, and teaching the systems on the car. Carl, the sales manager, is alway out front and accessible, not like other dealerships where you never see the mysterious "sales manager" the salesperson always has to clear things with. If the dealership wasn't great I would not have purchased five cars there. The entire process is low key and low pressure. From selecting a car, to the test drive, to approving the deal and sitting with finance, it is as pleasurable as a car buying can be.

I would always check Subaru websites for new and used cars hoping to find a deal somewhere. Well, it finally came through Paul Miller Subaru. I saw on their website they were selling a used 2022 gray Ascent with the Touring trim for an excellent price and super low mileage. I quickly emailed the dealership and asked if I could schedule a test drive. Alivia helped me through that booking process. The day I got there I was directed to Alex and he assisted me through the rest of my car buying experience. It turned out the used gray touring had more miles than advertised which was a little disappointing. I took it for a test drive and then asked about a different used blue limited edition Ascent and I'm glad I did because that became my new car! Alex was a pleasure to work with during the whole process. He was very patient with me and my many questions and concerns. He answered every question I had and was never, ever pushy. It was quite a different experience than other dealers and salespeople I've worked with. When I had to deal with their finance department that went surprisingly well too. Carlos was easy to deal with and again, was not pushy at all. So far, I'm very happy with my purchase and my experience at Paul Miller Subaru. I also received a free first service from them, so we will see how their service department holds up. The reviews have me a bit wary.
