I never leave reviews--this is actually my first one--but I felt I had to share my experience. I was extremely disappointed with the food at Giuseppe's. The pasta was swimming in a watery tomato sauce that made me just angry and grossed out . It didn't taste like authentic Italian food at all, specially from being from Europe, this was nonsense. I was also confused by the concept. The restaurant presents itself as Italian, yet the menu mixes Italian and Mediterranean cuisines in a way that felt inconsistent rather than complementary. The only positive part of my visit was our server. She was incredibly sweet, attentive, and did a wonderful job. Unfortunately, the food was so disappointing that I wouldn't return. So the two stars are for the adorable atmosphere/decor and Eugenia the blond server(NOT ours) who ended up helping us when no one else was to be found. food was only ok and waaaaay over priced. $90 for one app, one drink, one plate and one salad? The hummus/eggplant was ok, I've had much better. Salad was boring. Yoghurt drink was the only interesting tasty thing. Combo plate was flavorless. Which is sad bc the meat and chicken were moist and cooked well but it was a pound of rice and skewers with very little to no salt or flavor and zero sauce or anything to fix it. we waited for our server to come back and do a check, or refill our empty waters or offer anything on the side. never saw her again. mid meal my friend got super nauseous and faint and had to step outside and we needed to box and pay the check immediately. She needed water and fresh air and no one was around for the water so she went to the car. I got up and walked around looking for anyone. I even went to the kitchen opening and yelled hello... no one.I went out to the patio and found Eugenia who I asked for help. She was super apologetic and helpful. Got us boxes, Got our check. Paid our check. Brought us change. Apologized. Still haven't seen our server yet. Never even gave us her name. we left and I should have given the tip to Eugenia but I was rushing to get my friend home who was sweating and looked like she might puke. This is such a cute restaurant in Upland. After an amazing massage session with Alejandra at Certified Hands (check out my review!), I was definitely hungry! I walked in through a door in the middle of the restaurant, and everyone was staring at me LOL. The server kindly told me the to-go entrance was near the patio on the left side of the building. The guy who took my order was super friendly and even shared the lunch special menu. I knew what I wanted and stuck to my plan. I think I must've looked at an old menu because the torpedo was listed at $12, but it's about $20 out the door. The meat was high quality, I love my veggies piled high but not so much here, and the bread was just okay. I'd definitely love to come back and try more of their offerings! read more

My family and I have been coming here for 25 years now. This family owned restaurant has always made us feel welcomed and at home when we visit. The food is always amazing. Today our server was a pleasant Brazilian young man that gave us excellent service. It was great getting to know him. We ordered hummus, and dolmeh, as appetizers. I had the Beef Soltan plate which comes with a skewer of filet mignon & koobideh kabob which is made with ground beef and lamb mixed with minced onions, and seasoned with salt and pepper. I asked for cherry rice as a side because it's my favorite. It was season to perfection as usual. Keep up the great work! read more

We were so excited to bring friends to this place and called ahead to make sure they could accommodate our party of 6 adults. We were seated inside as soon we arrived only to play a waiting game. It took us flagging someone to get water, then slowly one side salad arrived, then much later another side salad arrived- long story short, it took approximately 1 hour to get our complete meal. So glad we finally stopped here! Be ready for a time warp when you go in. It was a nice ambience, though, and our server was SO lovely and fun to chat with! We went the Italian food route that night and ordered pizza, spaghetti, meatballs, and garlic bread. Their red sauce is delicious! Meatballs were fine, but nothing special. I love buttery baguette-style garlic bread, but my husband doesn't, so I got to enjoy that on my own. Best food in the Inland Empire. Service is excellent especially from Alaa and Eugenia. I went on a Saturday night, it was pretty packed. The newest room is a nice quiet area. I recommend the chicken soltani, kashk, fesenjun, and pizza. The Italian dishes are all pretty good as well. read more

The food was equally just as beautiful and good. The hummus & cucumber dip with the bread is amazing. that bread, I can eat a whole bunch of! The lamb and chicken plate with rice, amazing. Wow the service was A+ thanks Diane / Dianna . Now for the fun park I am a True Meat lover but the chicken /vegetable broth. It was vegetable with chicken broth and I enjoyed every bit of it! I had the chicken and steak skewers and it was good to the last drop. The dessert tiramisu was homemade and you can taste the goodness. We were a party of four and everyone had something different. The place is nice and in the mountains which i like as a Texas native. We had Happy as our server and she was great and happy like her name lol. We got some bread and dips and these were very good. the Mast-o-Musir was my favorite and so addicting. The antipasto salad was not very good, the mozzarella used the same types of cheese they have on frozen pizzas. We got lots of plates but the lamb chop and the koobideh were my favorites, but the chicken was dry; i didn't enjoy it. The Gormeh sabzi tasted overcooked and burnt (talkh); the rice it came with was good though. Had a great experience at this establishment! Having a reservation worked out perfectly, and we were attended to very quickly. They started us off with warm bread and butter, which was absolutely delicious. I had the chicken shish, and it was cooked to perfection. The chicken was juicy and full of flavor. The vegetables added an amazing balance, and the rice was so good I could have eaten it by itself. The restaurant was very clean inside. The only slight inconvenience was that there was just one single-stall restroom, so there was a bit of a wait to use it. Other than that, everything was really great. Yesterday I went to try this place out as I've heard good things about it. Sadly it was a big disappointment. We went in and were quickly seated outside on the patio. We looked over the menu and waited and a server never came to our table. We flagged down a server who was helping a nearby table who seemed like she couldn't be bothered and she went inside. Next we watched another couple come out to be seated and we flagged that host down and she told us a server was assigned to our table and went inside. A few minutes later a male server came out and went to the table that was seated after us and proceeded to take their order. NO one ever came to our table to take our order. After we saw that, we got up from the table turned our menus in and walked out. This was such a disappointment as I was really looking forward to trying this place. Poor customer service. read more

If you come in the right time, parking is enough. Elegant entrance low ceilings and decor with glamor and classical music. I like their bay windows table set up for two or four. A good place to impress a date or someone special. We had their Persian dip for starters, I had their Gheimeh stew with rice. Alaa our server was so nice, attentive and helpful. Service of course was awesome. We also had Lemshiesh plate, Ravioli pharmagean (Luigi's special) with meatballs sausages and cappuccinos. Their portions are more than enough. Had a large group here for a going away party. Had about 16 in the group. Our waitress was good. Always checking in on us, cuz it did take a while for the entire group to eventually show up. Food comes out quickly. Took a while for our bill to come out. And there was a lot of issues of who's bill was who's. But it was nice that it was all individually separated already. The food was unfortunately bland. I had to use a lot of salt, pepper and sumac to bring some flavor to the dish. Koobideh was really soft. Large portions for the price. It does get rather cold inside. So make sure to bring a jacket or wear something warm especially at night. It can get really loud in here with everyone talking and having a good time. My husband surprised me with lunch at Giuseppe's, and I had no idea this hidden gem was tucked away in the Upland Hills/San Antonio Heights area. The setting is absolutely beautiful! The restaurant itself is spacious, clean, and tastefully decorated. I was impressed by the layout, they even have private enclosed rooms for special events, which is a nice touch. There's also a pretty big size outdoor dining area, perfect for enjoying warm summer evenings with the family. Our waiter was friendly, attentive, and very helpful, which made the experience even better. The menu had a fantastic variety of dishes, and they also have a separate lunch specials menu. Fancy vibe to the restaurant with the hanging lights and water fountains outside, yet still low-key enough to bring kids. I also loved the fact that you can get kebab AND Italian food. Seems like such a random combo! We got the lasagna (server recommendation) and chicken kebab. Both were very good - especially the juicy chicken meat. Pita bread automatically served during the wait, which was soft and warm and fresh, and she even restocked us with a whole new basket-full. Offering indoor and patio dining, this gem of a restaurant offers both intimate and group dining accommodations. The owner truly appreciates her customers and made us feel very welcome. ok it was spontaneous , we had heard about this restaurant for years and finally decided to give it a visit. Started with the Hummus and eggplant Hummus & Eggplant. so yummy , I had the marinated ground beef kabobs and rice on the side , with side salad , we also had the Italian side of the menu , Pasta Salad, and Cannelloni, everything was delicious and I guess we got a bit lucky , since our service was amazing , I think her name was Sanny , she was a delight , I read many people complaining about service and how slow it was , it was just right with us , just the two of us and yes there were not too many servers for that pretty big restaurant , but luckily it did not affect us , since we were not in a rush . the ambiance is very nice and over overall we had a great time and will be returning to this little hidden gem in our own area. read more
