The slices are as huge as a plate (as big as your head) this week it was the Reuben pizza slice I was happy about that because I cannot have tomatoes and this one doesn't have any tomatoes yippee. Came in for lunch thinking this would be a quick in-and-out spot... nope. Ended up spending just under 2 hours there. We ordered the Italian beef, pizza slice, potato wedges, and Sunday cheese stick. It was pretty obvious they were understaffed, and the place felt disorganized and messy. The highlights were definitely the potato wedges and cheese stick--both were really good. I haven't been to Fratos in a while so I decided to order a few pizzas on a Friday night. I have a BOGO Free Specialty pizza so decided to try their Big and Meaty and I'm Fat Pizza. Ordering on their website is cumbersome but for a free pizza,I put up with it .lol The Big and Meaty was loaded with Applewood Smoked Bacon, Canadian Bacon,Fratos Specialty Sausage,and aged Pepperoni. Lots of flavor but lacking enough sauce in my opinion. The I'm Fat Pizza with BBQ Pulled Pork was layered with Whiskey BBQ Mac and Cheese. This pizza is a collaboration with the I'm Fat Podcast. Absolutely delicious but again could have used more sauce. Their pizzas are unique and very flavorful. It's not even run by Greeks anymore Qp is good for their chicken, but the gyros is meh. FRATOS meat was cooked on the grill after being shaved for just a minute, adding to the texture and flavor. And it was PLENTIFUL! Pita was also grilled just long enough to make it warm and not taste doughy. Tzatziki was flavorful and fresh but not too garlicky or cucumbery. Perfect balance. I never reviewed Frato's?! What is wrong with me? We don't make it that often, because the food is a touch unique which suits my wife and and the kids well, but the in-laws not so much. But the burgers here are something special. Gourmet IMO. And you can get them with a patty that is 50% ground bacon. LOTS of flavor, and all the special burgers they have stacks on top of that. An order of fries is like 3 potatoes cut into wedges, fried and seasoned however you want them. The Mozzarella "sticks" have to be seen to be believed. You could use one as a paper weight if you don't mind getting the paper greasy. Plus they have hot dogs, gyros, 1 lb. slices of pizza that my picky eater loves! Great desserts and shakes. Cheesecake brownie... phew. I gotta stop. Getting too excited. The guys working here are pleasant and the place is clean. They added some gaming at one end which may appeal to you. I love Frato's, it's a neighborhood place that's always good. I hosted a Sip n' Paint with a couple of my girlies and we ordered some Frato's and everyone loved it. We ordered their Schaumburg pizza which is my fave SO GOOD, also a half pepperoni half sausage, as well as chicken tenders and their giant mozzarella sticks which everyone was so amazed by their size. There's plenty of parking and the restaurant has plenty of indoor seating. They also have slot machines which we played while waiting for our and my friend won $60. When the pizza came it was barely done, and not well done as requested. Here's the kicker. No plates, or silverware. Just napkins and when I went to the counter I found a tiny baby plastic fork. I literally had to eat my pizza off the napkin with a plastic fork. I used the men's room and found the door greasy and dirty. Stop by frato's it's been a while so I checked it out and we got three 1lb slices of pizza and the guys there where super nice and great service. They made fresh slices. The pepperoni slice was fresh and good I was lacking a flavor I don't know what but it was good. I also had a 1lb sausage slice and it was good but again it's lacking a flavor but it's good especially the crust. We had 5 of the logs and we where excited because they are huge. They are good I think the dough or breading is missing salt or something but it might just be me so keep doing this great job. They have RC drinking products and they have a lot of desserts. I went to Frato's yesterday to interview a band. I asked if they could turn down the music in the restaurant, and they were very nice and understanding and immediately said they could turn it off for us. I really appreciated that because I don't know if any other restaurant would've done that for us, and it's important to be able to hear everyone in the interview without too much background noise. The interview turned out great; no one bothered us or anything like that. AND their pizza was really good too! It was also a comfortable temperature in there, not too cold or too hot. and outside it was like 80-something degrees, so I appreciated that we weren't sweating in there.
