The slices are as huge as a plate (as big as your head) this week it was the Reuben pizza slice I was happy about that because I cannot have tomatoes and this one doesn't have any tomatoes yippee. Came in for lunch thinking this would be a quick in-and-out spot... nope. Ended up spending just under 2 hours there. We ordered the Italian beef, pizza slice, potato wedges, and Sunday cheese stick. It was pretty obvious they were understaffed, and the place felt disorganized and messy. The highlights were definitely the potato wedges and cheese stick--both were really good. I haven't been to Fratos in a while so I decided to order a few pizzas on a Friday night. I have a BOGO Free Specialty pizza so decided to try their Big and Meaty and I'm Fat Pizza. Ordering on their website is cumbersome but for a free pizza,I put up with it .lol The Big and Meaty was loaded with Applewood Smoked Bacon, Canadian Bacon,Fratos Specialty Sausage,and aged Pepperoni. Lots of flavor but lacking enough sauce in my opinion. The I'm Fat Pizza with BBQ Pulled Pork was layered with Whiskey BBQ Mac and Cheese. This pizza is a collaboration with the I'm Fat Podcast. We have been searching for a good Gyros near us. THIS IS IT!!! Forget Brandys. Overpriced and average. Forget Little Greek. Used to be ok. It's not even run by Greeks anymore Qp is good for their chicken, but the gyros is meh. FRATOS meat was cooked on the grill after being shaved for just a minute, adding to the texture and flavor. And it was PLENTIFUL! Pita was also grilled just long enough to make it warm and not taste doughy. Tzatziki was flavorful and fresh but not too garlicky or cucumbery. Perfect balance. Last minute I ordered the mac and cheese. Ooey-gooey delicious! When I came home I added a little diced jalapeño. AMAZING. We have FINALLY found our new gyros go to! read more

WHAT AN AMAZING HANGOUT RESTAURANT! The food was HUGE. We are big backs! But THIS we had trouble finishing. Wanted to get the 13" mozzarella sticks but found out they were only on Sundays. Tried their regular mozzarella sticks and omg they were still huge! Almost choked on one but man that cheese pull satisfying! They weren't too dough-y, not too cheesy, and the crunch was perfect. I love Frato's, it's a neighborhood place that's always good. I hosted a Sip n' Paint with a couple of my girlies and we ordered some Frato's and everyone loved it. We ordered their Schaumburg pizza which is my fave SO GOOD, also a half pepperoni half sausage, as well as chicken tenders and their giant mozzarella sticks which everyone was so amazed by their size. There's plenty of parking and the restaurant has plenty of indoor seating. They also have slot machines which we played while waiting for our and my friend won $60. I never reviewed Frato's?! What is wrong with me? We don't make it that often, because the food is a touch unique which suits my wife and and the kids well, but the in-laws not so much. But the burgers here are something special. Gourmet IMO. And you can get them with a patty that is 50% ground bacon. LOTS of flavor, and all the special burgers they have stacks on top of that. An order of fries is like 3 potatoes cut into wedges, fried and seasoned however you want them. The Mozzarella "sticks" have to be seen to be believed. You could use one as a paper weight if you don't mind getting the paper greasy. Plus they have hot dogs, gyros, 1 lb. slices of pizza that my picky eater loves! Great desserts and shakes. Cheesecake brownie... phew. I gotta stop. Getting too excited. The guys working here are pleasant and the place is clean. They added some gaming at one end which may appeal to you. When the pizza came it was barely done, and not well done as requested. Here's the kicker. No plates, or silverware. Just napkins and when I went to the counter I found a tiny baby plastic fork. I literally had to eat my pizza off the napkin with a plastic fork. I used the men's room and found the door greasy and dirty. I am kind of a clean guy from being a firefighter for 33 years and that can easily be cleaned off. Pizza was just average, nothing special. Stop by frato's it's been a while so I checked it out and we got three 1lb slices of pizza and the guys there where super nice and great service. They made fresh slices. The pepperoni slice was fresh and good I was lacking a flavor I don't know what but it was good. I also had a 1lb sausage slice and it was good but again it's lacking a flavor but it's good especially the crust. We had 5 of the logs and we where excited because they are huge. They are good I think the dough or breading is missing salt or something but it might just be me so keep doing this great job. They have RC drinking products and they have a lot of desserts. I went to Frato's yesterday to interview a band. I asked if they could turn down the music in the restaurant, and they were very nice and understanding and immediately said they could turn it off for us. I really appreciated that because I don't know if any other restaurant would've done that for us, and it's important to be able to hear everyone in the interview without too much background noise. The interview turned out great; no one bothered us or anything like that. AND their pizza was really good too! It was also a comfortable temperature in there, not too cold or too hot. and outside it was like 80-something degrees, so I appreciated that we weren't sweating in there. The difference between the two was the adult one had bacon. Our family does not eat bacon. Frato's is just outside our normal "pandemic pickup zone" but yesterday looking for something different and decided to give it a try. The burger, grilled cheese gyro and shakes were all good and would have them again if they were in the neighborhood but not so good they were wort the ride. Probably 3-1/2 stars. However the "prime rib steak bites were soooo not worth it. Small order, tiny pieces and seriously overcooked. After being a regular here for 8 years (wow, how does that time fly so quickly?), I can safely say that yes there has been lots of change in that time, but I am continuously happy & satisfied with anything I've ever gotten from them. Their customer service is definitely what stands out the most to me, but after seeing some of their reviews, I'm so confused. Everyone always says hi to me, treat my kids like THEY'RE family, and I'm always asked how my food is. Pre-pandemic times, sitting there eating with my family, if the kitchen is slow, the chefs come out and talk to everyone at my table(s) to check in on us.. During these very difficult times of take out only, I've continued to be treated in the same respectful manner, just via phone. The menu has changed, and sure some prices have gone up... but again, given the state of these very challenging times, raising prices is kind of to be expected isn't it? Our favorite item on the regular menu is still thin crust pizza with sausage, onions, & green peppers. Their pizza sauce is so addicting (what's in it guys?? What is it?!) and the crust is perfectly crispy without being cracker-thin dry. We obviously also love the mozzarella sticks since they're basically the size of a baby's head (I have mental proof of this, but no physical proof. For now)! They have a rotating burger menu, and I've missed a couple of the featured items over the past year but the few that I have had a chance to pick up were so good! They're definitely better fresh, so for those who have had issues with delivery, it's def gotta be taken into consideration how long it takes third-party vendors to get your meal to you! I wish Yelp could somehow filter or set up a warning that DD/GH aren't affiliated with these small businesses and that if there's an issue with delivery or ordering through those websites, it shouldn't hurt the businesses directly. read more

10/10 - it does not get better than this. I got their GIANT mozzarella sticks and oh man they were definitely giant and absolutely amazing. It's awesome that you get 5 of these, where normally a restaurant only gives five normal sized ones. We tried their burger of the month - this one was for Cinco de Mayo. Woah, it was perfect. It was a burger with pico de gallo, avocado, pepper jack cheese, grilled peppers, and chipotle aioli. I finished it in only a few minutes because I didn't want to put it down! We also tried out their pizza. With their name being Frato's Pizza, I had high expectations.... and they were met! The dough was definitely rolled that morning, it was a perfect thickness. It had great toppings AND it supported Elk Grove schools. Does it get any better? I'd recommend Fratos to anyone. Not only is their story fantastic, I love that they work to help out local areas and take in kids who are interested in culinary school BUT their staff was incredibly sweet. What do you after a 10 mile bike ride? You go to Frato's to binge eat and negate all your hard work! At least that's what my buddy and I did. I was first introduced to the goodness that is Frato's in reviews from my friends Candice G. and Pari P. Then the stars aligned and a Yelp event took place here. Shima C. was my plus one and has been dying to go back since the event! Finally her time came this past Sunday. Before going we both looked over the menu and it's completely overwhelming. There are so many delicious choices and we both have an issue with ordering everything we want even if we can't actually eat it all. I always say my eyes are bigger than my belly. I ordered the Pizza Special which is a phenomenal deal - $4.99 for a slice of their specialty pizza and a drink. Now when I say a slice, I use the term loosely because truly it's a huge honkin' gigantic quarter of a pizza! The piece alone could give me lunch & dinner...but I was ravenous and gobbled it down! The special changes every day but on Sunday it was Broccoli and Cheese and so friggin yummy. I also ordered a Breakfast Burger to go so I could eat that for dinner. The burger is $7.50 with egg, bacon and cheese on a cheddar bagel. I didn't read the bagel part so when I opened it up I was like HOLY JEEBUS! This is amazing. And the great thing? It tasted even better than it looked. Oh yesh, I would get it again in a second. Now my tiny, drop dead gorgeous friend ordered twice her body weight in food and was kind enough to share the goods with me to taste. She ordered 6 jumbo boneless wings, large basket of parmesan truffle fries and a full size Vegetarian Goat specialty pizza (which she first tried at the event and loved) and she was THIS close to ordering herself a pizza puff to top it all off. And yes, we both got ice cream for dessert. Stop judging us! The wangs were some of the best I've ever had! So juicy and the various flavors are da bomb. Parmesan garlic was my absolute favorite! The parmesan truffle fries were not too truffley and had there not been a mention of truffle I would have loved them. However, they left something to be desired due to the lack of truffle flavor. Their gourmet ice cream is amazing! I loved the Tahitian vanilla...so rich and flavorful. It's so hard to pick what my favorite thing about Frato's is. Is it their extensive craft beer list? Is it the fact that they have constantly changing burgers of the week and constantly changing daily specialty pizzas? Or is it the amazing price I can try those specialty pizzas at? Is it because they have giant TVs I can watch games on while chilling out in a super relaxed environment in a comfy old school booth? Perhaps it's that jolly chef who I met at the Elite event who won my heart when he told me I looked 17. Or maybe it's just that their food is friggin good! Hard to pick. I was really happy to see Frato's have a few other tables sat on a Sunday about 130pm.
