Freakin' Nachos in Waterford is an awesome little spot to grab, well... NACHOS! We stopped in for lunch without very high expectations. We were pleasantly surprised with how clean and open it was. The gentleman behind the counter was very friendly and helpful. He explained the different offerings and how to combine options. You can pick from nachos, waffle fries, tots, etc. Then you pick the nacho topping combo you want (classic, Hawaiian, meatloaves, etc.) and then your protein. So you can have the same meal a few different ways with the different options. Not confusing at all, just different. We loved it. The food was great. Not the best nachos ever, but for a quick lunch, they were very tasty. All of the ingredients were fresh and bright. Not the picture I attached. It is not enhanced in any way. Price was very reasonable for the portion size. We both got a small and it was plenty. We will be back! read more

My husband LOVES nachos, so he was really excited to find this place. We drove 30 minutes to try Freakin Nachos and ordered the large Dusty Fingers nachos. They were good, but nothing extraordinary. The portion size was generous, and it was fun that they came in a pizza box! I don't think they'd hold up well for carryout though--they'd probably get soggy. I'd recommend it if you're in the area and craving nachos, but it's probably not worth a long drive. read more

As someone who takes the art of homemade nachos a little too seriously, I admittedly had reservations about finally trying Waterford's newest hot spot among locals. I'm pleased to say: Freakin' Nachos clearly respects and crafts a superb nacho. Upon opening their online ordering menu, you're met with a wide variety of nacho creations (what else were we expecting?). There are topping combinations to satisfy any craving! If for some reason nachos aren't your thing, you also have the option to swap in fries or tater tots. Yummm. We ordered the BBQ Chicken and Supreme, both smalls with tortilla chips, sides of salsa, and queso. The carry-out boxes were delightfully piping hot upon pickup. Points for freshness? Check! Both renditions had skillfully balanced layers of toppings, plenty of cheese, and no skimping on protein. The chips even stayed crispy, unless they were buried under a mountain of deliciousness (no complaints there). Smalls were enough for us each to have a corner-sized portion for lunch the next day. Next time, we're definitely trying the waffle fry nachos with Hawaiian toppings. If you're still on the fence, this is your sign to *just try them*. I honestly never thought I'd like nachos, much less be excited for a nacho exclusive place but boy have I been enlightened! Husband and I keep coming back. Nachos are excellent, the fresh chips are a great touch, and all the "chip" options keep things interesting (tater tots! Wafffle fries!). A small is a perfect size for me, husband does a medium. Large would definitely be a crowd pleaser! Salsa is good, about mild in spice. I didn't care for the guacamole, felt it was too bland. Husband always does the pickup (they're carry out only?) so I can't speak to service but they are quick and everything comes out perfectly cooked. I hope they branch out to some unconventional and unique nachos (Italian nachos? Crab Rangoon nachos??). I'm finding it's a great way to enjoy many flavors. read more

We had the Taco Tachos. First, we went to the place to pick them up after ordering online because we wanted to better understand the vibe. It was a cute little spots tucked away in the plaza across from Meijer. The food was good, salsa was good, too. We thought everything was tasty and the only very minor thing we couldn't do in the app was add black olives which we wanted in place of the onions but not a big deal. The cheese did stick to the paper in the box which made it a bit har to peal it off - but all in all really good flavors. We'll be back to try some of the others. So had this delivered and it was expensive! $54 for a medium nacho and two sides with chips. The delivery was fast at least and everything looked clean/ untampered. As for the food, man it's just okay. It's bar food at best. It's a novel idea adding a bunch of different options to tortilla chips but I don't think some things go together. Gave me a bit of a stomach ache however. Will say the queso is the best part. I ordered the meat lovers which is basically a meat lovers pizza toppings over chips. It was okay. Kinda dry and not much for flavor unless you add sauce or queso to it. Also tried the beans and meat mixture to make kids tacos with it. That was pretty good too. These were, hands down, the worst dining experience and the worst food I've had to eat in a looong time! I got nachos. The meat tasted burned but had so much taco seasoning on it, I couldn't see - or tell. There's all this seating inside, but we had to tell the person that we were going to eat our food there evidently she either didnt hear us or didn't care, we got the boxes with our food inside and it was horrible. These BBQ Chicken Nachos are unequivocally fucking BUSSING (said in a British accent)!! The owner perfected not only the nacho, but the style of serving it. Everyone is super friendly and the place has a great vibe to hang out to eat nachos. The nachos were made in a quick timely manner (10 minutes). Ladies watch out, the owner is a STUD that knows how to feed your heart! I would strongly recommend putting queso on the BBQ chicken nacho if you do order it.
