The only negatives I could point to were 1) the staff who brought over utensils didn't bring enough (and we didn't recognize it until we had all started eating and he had left the table) and 2) one of our group ordered a bean burrito (nothing but beans in it) and I think they should have asked what kind of beans he wanted. It was a refried bean burrito but they also have black beans and he would have preferred those if he knew they were an option. The tortillas tasted very fresh and had a little crispiness from the grill, which I liked. The meat was perfectly cooked and had a really nice grilled flavor. What caught my eyes were the wrestling mask patterns of Lucha Sabina. As a wrestling fan I thought it added a cool sense of charm to the brand. What caught my eye the most was the menu! I originally came for a quesadilla, which I got. But an additional menu item, Taco de Chapulin, caught my eye! A taco de chapulin is a grasshopper taco! I'm not Andrew Zimmerman, but I've been willing to try my share of interesting food from time to time. So I decided to order it! The staff member was friendly and informed me of what the taco had in it. And she also let me know of how the quality of their food was when they prepared the taco. Quesadilla with carne asada: Delicious, not overly greasy with a generous amount of ingredients tucked inside. Not overly seasoned, just the right amount you would enjoy for a quesadilla. definitely a must try. Taco de chapulin: the star of the show! The taco was AMAZING! So well seasoned and had a great balance due to the cactus. Crumbled cheese inside too that wasn't overly salty as the grasshoppers seasoned everything. Not a crazy crunch as you might think, it was tender. I even tried the grasshoppers by itself and was amazed at how flavorful it was. This won't be my last time ordering this! The ambiance of Mitote has always been welcoming. On the weekends or nights I heard there's music and dancing. But the community buzz is flowing in the air at Mitote. They have only made mistakes on my order 2-3x out of probably 100+ times and when they have they have made it up each time beyond what i would have expected, which is not typical in my experience with food truck types of restaurants. The tortillas were super fresh and the meat was perfectly grilled. I love that many of the trucks here use handmade tortillas. They often have music playing, and the bar has some excellent drinks as well. There's also a dessert truck (Churroteka) where you can purchase churro to finish off your delicious meal.

Music was playing but we found only three trucks open and serving lunch on this Wed. I saw a churro truck but sadly it was closed too. We visited all three trucks to check out their menus and I decided to order a quesadilla at Lucha Sabina. Some people near us were enjoying something called a Tlayuda from this same truck and it looked amazing! I will have to give that a try next time with my husband because it is big enough to serve two. I had heard that the mushroom tacos were delicious so I asked if they could make a mushroom quesadilla and she said yes. She mentioned avocado would make it extra tasty so of course I added it. I'm so glad she offered that up because it was a key ingredient in my yummy quesadilla. It was grilled perfectly and I was all smiles from the first bite. This place was a hit with all my buddies too. We liked that they gave us each a beeper so we could sit down and chat until our food was ready. The menu has a nice variety of dishes from breakfast items to salads, molcajetes, tortas, quesadillas, chimichangas, seafood, and other traditional entrees. I ordered my regular Rafa's burrito with whole black beans (hold the sour cream). This burrito comes with three kinds of meat (grilled chicken, carne asada, and carnitas). My friend ordered the shrimp tostada with a side of guacamole. I was excited to take a bite of my burrito but when I did, I noticed it didn't taste like what I remembered. It was dry and the cook may have forgotten to add the guacamole and cheese. In the past I had always requested they hold the sour cream so this order was no different. My friend enjoyed every bite of her shrimp tostada so I was happy she had a good first visit to this cozy Mexican restaurant. The ambiance is festive and pleasant, the interior is clean. They have their own parking lot and a few tables outside. The lady at the counter is very cordial and sweet.
