Service department experience was very unfortunate. Not only did I not approve the work done to my vehicle, I wasn't notified it was occurring. When I called to speak to my service advisor I was met with being talked at and not spoken to. I couldn't get a word in. Every time I started speaking she abruptly cut me off. When I went to pickup my car and pay for the service I didn't approve nobody made an effort to speak me or smooth things over. If you enjoy having work done on your car without knowledge or approval, this is most certainly the place for you. read more

Clearly these folks do not care one bit about their customers... following a fiasco where they charged $540 to replace just "one" coil-pack we arranged for after hour pickup. Upon arriving at the dealership at 7pm, 16 degree evening, we found the truck with have a windshield of snow and frozen solid. It was adding insult to injury. With Ford dealers essentially in every town in America -- I recommend using "any" of the others. read more

Atrocious customer service! I have purchased two vehicles from this dealership. Once under Smith Motors and one from Fred Beans. When I bought my first vehicle Dan was a pleasure to work with. There were a few minor things that Dan coordinated through the sale that the service department would take care of. The service department was incredibly rude and argumentative claiming that since the car was not a Ford they would not be doing the work. After a lot of back and forth, Dan was able to get everything squared. The other car that I purchased from Fred Beans was a Ford, so I thought that my experience would be different. I had a new salesman, who is no longer working for the dealership, make racist comments to us and had zero working knowledge of how the company operated. The car had a cracked side view mirror and as part of the purchase agreement they agreed to replace it. After hounding the service department they finally told me that the part came in. I brought the car in for the mirror to be replaced and when I went outside after it was done the housing on the mirror was still cracked. They had replaced the wrong part on the car. After a lot of back and forth, they agreed to order the correct part and replace it. When I got the call that the part had come in I brought the car in to have the work done. They ordered the mirror for the incorrect side of the car. Then several weeks later I went back yet again to have the mirror replaced but this time they ordered the correct side but in the wrong color. The person in the service department argued with me and told me that I should just put the wrong-colored mirror on and be done with it. I refused and asked them to honor what they had agreed to months ago. Finally, after several months they put the correct mirror on my car. Then my Ford Explorer had a full radio malfunction in that the entire screen went blank and I lost control of the heat/AC, radio functions, as well as no power to the USB port. I took the car to a mechanic who said that this is such a specific Ford issue that I would have more luck taking it to the ford dealership where i purchased the car from. I made an appointment to bring my car in for a diagnostic and told them that since I didn't have any other means of transportation I would have to wait there while they ran the diagnostic. When I arrived at the appointment the person who checked me in told me that the appointment was put in as a drop-off and there was no telling how long the wait would be. When the car was done she said that the APIM was bad on the car and that it would have to be replaced. She asked if I wanted to go ahead and schedule it now or wait. I said that I wanted to research it first and I would call back to schedule the appointment. The next week I called to schedule the appointment and the woman on the phone said that they had availability the next day. I questioned such a quick appointment as I felt that an APIM was an odd part to have in stock. She said that they are able to get parts in within 24 hours. Apprehensive with the next day appointment I decided to make the appointment for the next week and asked if she would be sure that the part would be in. She stated that she would speak with the parts department to ensure that they would have it and would contact me with any issues. I dropped my car off using the drop box before the scheduled appointment. The morning of the appointment I received a phone call from the service coordinator who was incredibly rude and questioned why I dropped the car off for the APIM since they didn't have it in stock. I told her that I had spoken to someone and they said that it would be in for the appointment. She stated that it takes 5 days for the part to come in, so why would I make an appointment before the part would be in? I said that I made this appointment last week after confirming that the part would be in and then coordinated renting a car and adjusting my work day around this. Have had a battery drain problem on our 2020 f150 truck since we bought it and dealer refuses to admit there is an issue. It's so frustrating .....and always leaves us stranded. Never a ford again!!!! read more

We purchased a 2024 Bronco. Our sales consultant, Mario, was knowledgeable and helpful. Even sent us a video of the vehicle in advance of making the trip there. He answered all of our questions. Low pressure atmosphere. I deducted 2 stars for one reason. The "mandatory" dealer add on/up charge of $299 for silent security (vin etching). They say you cannot buy a car from them unless you pay for that add on. Doesn't matter if you want it or not, you will pay. Just keep that in mind if you buy there. They will tell you they must do the vin etching because they have no gates on their lot. I'm not sure how that's the buyers problem aor why we have to pay for it. IMHO vin etching should be offered as an option and not forced on buyers. I tried to have it waived but no one there was having it. We did still make the purchase so that's on me. I won't fall for it next time. read more

WARNING DO NOT COME HERE TO GET YOUR VEHICLE SERVICED!!! I dropped off my Ford Transit connect van to get looked at (diagnostic testing) on Friday 5/31 because I had a check engine light. Was told that I would get a call at the end of the day since I dropped it off around 8:15am that morning. Turns out they stop working at 3pm on Friday because I received a call saying they did not get a chance to look at the van. I use the van for my business and I couldn't afford to leave it until Monday. I told the lady at the service department that I need it back on Monday morning and was told they will starting looking at it 7am. Give them a call around 9am and was told some technician looked at it but couldn't find anything so "a higher level technician" has to look at it. Again frustrated that just the diagnostic testing is taking almost 2 days now, I just left the van there for the day and had to figure out another van situation. I finally receive a call around 1pm that day and was told the vehicle is READY FOR PICKUP by the service department lady. I go the following morning Tuesday to pick it up. Pay $180 for a diagnostic testing and pick up my van. I was planning on taking it to work that morning but good thing I didn't because 30 minutes later I get a phone call and text messages from Fred Beans Service department stating that the technician working on it did not connect everything back to its place and the hood latch of the vehicle was unscrewed and the hood was just resting on the unscrewed latch. (If you had a 2012 ford transit connect van you would know what I'm talking about) If I decided to drive on the highway that day the whole hood would have lifted up onto my windshield. How do you call the customer to pick up their vehicle and it's not even ready for pickup?? The lack of awareness and customer service is extremely frightening. Where too start I have a 2021 Ford150 that has had recall after recall. Beginning of the year it has had a recall for the wiper motor that can stop working at anytime but Ford did not have the motors out to the dealership. Finally I get the letter telling me that the wiper motor are out and to call your dealership ASAP to schedule an appointment. So today I called Fred Beans in Washington I get a person on the phone I explain that about the letter I received telling me to make an appointment. The woman on the phone says that I need to bring the truck in so they can examine the truck to see if the motor is bad and that they will only change it if I have a bad motor even though the recall said all motors must be replaced. I then called the Ford dealer in Flemington Nj and they ask me my vin number and the recall number within 5 minutes I had an appointment to have the motor changed out and to have two other recalls looked at that Fred Bean never mention. So I decided to call Fred Bean again just to see if it was just the person on the phone that didn't know what she should had. This time on the phone again a lady said again that Ford said not to change the motor a less it wasn't working I was shock told her she was absolutely wrong and I would like to speak to a manager. I was then on the phone for five minutes with silence. The woman came back and said the manager couldn't get to the phone and would call me back. I've been asked to speak to the sales person, Tyler Smith, who sold me my truck, which I just saw there last week, she came back and told me that he doesn't work there no more I think all the sales department and ask for Tyler Smith the person answer the phone to Tyler was with a customer. I ask to speak to the sales manager or someone in charge of the service department then had to leave a message on the sales managers phone and have not received a phone call back yet. This place has went downhill so bad since it's been Smith Ford don't give them any business because they'll give you the business. read more

Started Having my car serviced at Fred beans of Washington about a year ago. I had used the previous dealer, Smith Motors which I loved the service and the customer experience they had provided. Because I once purchased a car from Fred Beans at another location I thought I would try and continue getting my vehicle serviced at this location. Also my vehicle was getting older (184K) and figured I would try and establish a business relationship with this dealer and once again I considered purchasing a vehicle from Fred Beans. The moment Fred Beans took over this location the quality of service dropped significantly. Instead of 45 minutes for my oil change the time increased to about 90 minutes. I recently received an e-mail from Fred Beans stating because of being a loyal customer I could get the works for my vehicle (oil change, tire rotation, air filter, etc.) for $89.99, therefore I scheduled an appointment. 2 days later my wife (they like dealing with women here) got a call from the service manager saying that because my vehicle was a GMC and not a Ford, the oil change would cost $149.99 not $89.99. REALLY... 1. Let me tell you that I called once before and stated clearly that only I was to be contacted in regards to decisions related to the service of my vehicle and not my wife. I felt that they had taken advantage of her previously like this. 2. the woman who was in the service dept. called the day I made the appt. to confirm and at that time I specifically explained to her about the e-mail I received and was told to bring it with me. 3. I called several months ago and wanted to get a quote on some work I needed done for the vehicle and spent better than 15 min. each time (twice) on hold to get the service mgr. but could not get a hold of them and never received a call back. I could go on about how rude this woman is but just don't have that much time. If Customer service is a concern, I would suggest you not use Fred Beans of Washington. If time is important to you, Go somewhere else. If you feel that courtesy and pleasantry should be part of your service experience, this is not the place. The e-mail I received said "because you are a loyal and valuable customer. Apparently that is just some bogus phrase they use at Fred Beans of Washington because that is not the way I am being treated. I am no longer a loyal customer and I would not consider making a purchase from Fred Beans at this location or any other. Neither Should You...
