I would strongly recommend not purchasing a used vehicle from this dealership. Two days after buying my car, the transmission broke down. I was told they "didn't know" there were any issues. Eventually, it was replaced, but it took an entire month. Now, I have multiple warning lights on the dashboard and the car has been stalling. When I brought it back, I was told they would not fix it because I do not have a long-term warranty. Before purchasing the vehicle, I specifically expressed concerns about buying an older used car. The salesman, Marvin, assured me he "had my back" and not to worry if anything came up. Unfortunately, that has not been the case. The owner recently called and told me I would have to pay full price to repair the vehicle. This has been extremely frustrating and disappointing. Based on my experience, I would not recommend doing business here. I went to the dealership for scheduled oil change. I picked up the truck and drove it for a couple months. When I checked the oil before a long drive for vacation I found out that the oil was overfilled by 2quarts. I had to drain the oil myself because we were leaving the next day. When we returned from vacation I brought it to the attention of the service manager at Rossi GMC and he dismissed my concern. The service department has gone downhill. Sales people were great! No problem there! Worst buy ever. Just about $40K!! Just reached our 1 yr with the vehicle. We've been back at least 4 times starting about 4 months after purchasing. I SHOULD have read the Google reviews before going to Rossi. But, I had a very close friend who worked in maintenance there for years. The men in service LIE! Ed doesn't return calls as I've called him 3x now in the past few months and have never gotten a call back from him. Cam shaft & lifters had to be replaced A caliper, breaks, usb port, window actuators (spelling) they turned the tires around (mechanic told us that) so we needed 4 new tires the then our mechanic also told us that when you replace the cam shaft you almost always have to empty the ac .. so recently we had to have that done..bc that was never refilled.. and on the same day we noticed the back seat roof was leaking!! Call rossi and Jeff told me it would be $600 to run diagnostics to see where the water was coming in from.. so I called right back and spoke to someone else Matt... he said $159 for diagnostic! It has been one thing after another and they've all been major!! We asked to trade the car in and they now say it has high mileage and it's lost a lot of value already!! Recently they had the vehicle from April 7 - May 15 replacing the transmission. They had it for about a week when they replaced the cam shaft.. as I'm writing this the body shop just called me back the water is coming from the rear sliding window .. GM acknowledges this there is a technical bulletin online about it. But yet Rossi won't correct a problem that GM acknowledges without charging me a ton??? Bad experience with service. Took my Colorado in for service due to 4 wheel drive not working. They reprogrammed the module for $135 that didn't work. I sat in service for 3 hours then they told me i needed a new module for an additional $435 including diagnostic fee. They refused to give me a credit for the $135 i paid for nothing. I walked out and went to another dealership in Flemington. They replaced the module for free because it was covered under the powertrain warranty. RIPOFF. The goon service manager was also rude. Utterly disturbing. I get phone calls all the time. What can we do for you from these people. Finally I bite. My son is turning 17. Working on a new Traverse or Trailblazer for my wife. I have a rocky ridge Silverado I bought from them. Silverado needs service. They tell me they don't do loaners. I am under warranty. She says only a shuttle service but I am too far. My disabled wife cannot stay at the dealership. What can we do since I am 2 miles over your 10 mile threshold for shuttle service. Nothing she says. I call Mark the GEneral manager. He is not at all helpful. Won't fix the problem. Turns out the do have loaners. He does nothing to address that issue. He sat their like a dummy with no responses or solutions. Let me start by saying that our family has been buying Toyota for as long as I can remember. We also always bought our cars privately, without any "assistance" from a dealership. But we decided to take a walk on the dark side :) and buy a pre-owned 2013 Chevy Traverse and go to a dealership. We went to a few of them, but the level of professionalism, friendliness, good will and feeling of candor (vs pushy) at Rossi was so well received that we bought the day we walked in. Unfortunately we experienced a service issue a day (yes a day!) after delivery when a traction sensor went off, but Peggy in Service was immediately responsive (calming) and set us up with an appt and loaner (gorgeous Buick Enclave) so that I would be as little inconvenienced as possible. I won't lie, our first reaction to the sensor issue was , "here we go... what were we thinking...why did we stray from what always worked for us" but with the newer cars and so many sensors, we were assured from the Salesman, Franco, to the Service Technician, Steve, to the GM, Marty, that they were "on it" and would have their technicians look at it asap. And they did. Long story short, I was provided A++ customer service that provided us with a way to start to rebuild our confidence with the vehicle and the dealership. Steve called me several times to keep me posted on the status of service. He represents the service department with such a courteous, friendly and personable attitude. Marty, the GM, personally called us as well to extend a level of compassion, understanding for our safety concern issues (never mind we only owned the car for a day!) and personalized customer service that felt like a high level of professionalism (vs a high level of #$%@& :) ) . We appreciated that Rossi acknowledged our concerns and replaced the sensor so swiftly and responsively. We are first time customers of Rossi Chevrolet and purchasing this car was a big investment for us. We also knew that buying a GM certified car from a dealership would include a long relationship. Service for my car has been quick, the waiting room is comfortable, they have Wi-Fi, a TV if you choose to watch, coffee, water and snacks. Everything you need in a comfortable waiting area. We purchased a "Certified Pre-owned" 2012 Buick Enclave from Royal Buick of Sussex New Jersey in February of 2017. Rossi, our local dealer, had nothing comparable at the time. Now two years later the car shut off on Friday January 11th. It was towed to Rossi where we have been taken it for almost two years of ongoing maintenance, both scheduled and non, and have spent over $10k in the last year alone, on service that did not resolve the clicking sound coming from the engine. Earlier that day I had made the earliest appointment available which was 10 days later, on the 21st. After breaking down, we went to their showroom that following Saturday and were seen by Charlie. He wrote up a very reasonable deal for $1k down with many incentives including one for me being a volunteer EMT. Matt the sales manager came back and told us that my wife's credit score was not what we had claimed and qualified for a Tier Two instead of a Tier One which now required a $6k down payment. We checked my wife's credit score on Experian before we left Rossi and got the same score we had given Matt originally, which we showed him and to which he responded "we use a different system". We decided to keep the Enclave and repair it. The battery, solenoid and valves were repaired before the 21st and we were told that we could pick-up the car after it was test driven by the technician. We did not hear back from Rossi Service so we called at 5 pm and were told that when test driving the vehicle AFTER the most recent repairs - the technician heard a clicking sound coming from the engine. Wow! That sounded very familiar as this was the complaint we had often submitted to Rossi in the past and that we suspected prompted expensive and unrelated repairs. This time however they told us they would need to diagnose the engine, so the next day they called us and told us, the car, with just under 103k miles - "NEEDS A NEW ENGINE". No further explanation was offered except a quote of $6k. Wow! Same as the down payment for the Tier 2. We re-opened a complaint with GM Customer Care the next day based on the original one from two years earlier for extensive maintenance when we first bought it - despite being "Certified Pre-owned", and now the need for a new engine in addition to the recent excessive Credit checks by Rossi which amounted to 8 hard inquiries for a single GM Financial application. A few weeks later, GM awarded us a $4k credit towards the purchase of a new GM, we contacted Rossi again and asked for a quote on a vehicle they had on sale for $22k in January. Matt called us back and gave us a quote which included a trade-in offer of $4k for the Enclave for which we owed $17k. They worked it into the contract and included additional incentives but when it came to the stipulated GM Financing - they hit us with a 15% interest that would negate all the awards and have us pay for the car twice over at the end of the 72-month term. Understandably my wife took a while to convince that this offer was the "lesser of all the evils". When we called Matt during the first week of February to accept the offer, he told us the sale price of the vehicle was no longer available. We are now looking into a history of similar catastrophic engine failures with other GM vehicles and will need to pursue alternatives such as a Class Action Lawsuit. Our car which was purchased brand new from here in 2015 keeps having the same exact issue 4-5 times now. We have tried explaining to the dealership that the part they keep putting in is defective and that this same issue shouldn't be occurring on a 1-year old car.
