Definition of dishonesty = deceitful. Getting right to the facts, we have a 2015 Toyota Camry with less than 40,000 miles on it. My wife made an appointment for an oil change and full detail. Service rep advised detail would take all day so she asked for loaner; rep said normally they don't give loaner for this but he would do her a favor and reserve a loaner for her. When she got to the dealer, she asked to have a couple of additional small items checked plus she asked that the brakes be checked due to a small shimmy and the rep stated it's part of the "multipoint inspection" that is done with the oil change. They were low on loaners and gave her a "loaner' car and off she went. Service rep called her later in the day and advised that the battery cables needed "cleaning" for $40. He also stated the throttle body needed cleaning for $65. He said the rotors and pads needed to be changed, although they were still in factory spec and he told her it was a safety issue and would be $450. (No dash lights were on indicating anything was wrong with the brakes.) My wife called me to relay all the info and it didn't sound right to me at all. I'm fairly knowledgeable about cars and was shocked to hear that they WANTED TO CHARGE $40 TO CLEAN BATTERY CABLES and $65 to clean the throttle body (there were no symptoms it needed cleaning, i.e. no stalling, no loss in gas mileage, no rough idle). To call this BS is an understatement. I spent 10 minutes and pulled the necessary parts off the engine to look at the throttle body and it was clean. My wife called the service rep back and told him to just have the oil changed, cancel the detail and not to do any additional work. When she picked the car up, the bill was $133.95. She was taken aback by the bill, as this included additional charges other than the oil change. She was charged $35 for a "loaner" car which they never told her there would be a charge for. We've had many "loaner" cars in the past and were never charged. She was also charged $40 for an estimate to check the brakes. The mileage indicates they did not take the car for a road test. The multipoint inspection, which is supposed to be included with the oil change, includes checking the brakes. Why was she charged $40 for that? Needless to say, we will never go back to Fred Beans Toyota for anything. Totally feel we got ripped off. read more

WARNING: This dealership is Not Fully Covid-19 Compliant ... One employee did not wear a mask at all and another employee did not wear a mask over his nose. We needed to drop off two cars for oil changes: one on November 9th and the other one on November 10th. When we dropped off the first car, we noticed that their showroom receptionist was not wearing a mask. When we returned to pick up the first car, 3 hours later, that same receptionist was still not wearing a mask. Downstairs in their Service Department, another employee was not Covid-19 compliant; he was walking around their Service Department without a mask. I wanted to avoid him, but I had a question. Our Service Advisor, Brad, said I would need to speak with the guy without a mask...Fred. As I approached Fred with a question, Fred pulled up his mask. But, his mask only covered his mouth. The whole time I attempted to speak with him, his nose was completely uncovered. I was surprised because Fred Beans had signs on their door saying that all customers were responsible for wearing masks. If that's the case, why didn't this dealership hold their own employees to the same standard? Fred's behavior was also odd and somewhat antagonistic. I asked him about enrolling us in a program that their dealership offered. Their ad said that after you get so much service work completed, you can earn up to $2K off the purchase price of a vehicle. But I was met with resistance. Fred stared at me for 7-8 seconds without speaking. Finally, he said, You get the points when you pay your bill. I said, My husband just paid you. (He paid Fred just 5 minutes earlier and we were the only two customers in their Service Department). Fred then looked down at his computer screen and said, Name. I provided that information to him. Then he responded, No, neither one of you are in the club. (Well, I already knew that and that was the reason I asked Fred how I could enroll). At that point, his phone rang and without excusing himself, he diverted his attention to the phone call so I left. I would have thought that a dealership would not want to discourage interested buyers from accumulating points to buy a vehicle from them. Apparently, Fred didn't care about future business for his employer. We were also told that car #1 needed a throttle body service just like another reviewer had been told and we also didn't see any evidence that this service was necessary. When we arrived home that evening after we picked up the car, we tried to speak to their owner but our request was not honored by their Service Manager. We had already left car #2 because it was scheduled and already at their dealership. But, we would never return here. I came to the Fred Beans Service Dept. for a recall as well as a diagnostic assessment after a rattling noise started in my car and I got a fist diagnosis that I did not trust. I worked with Paul mostly and Mark (I think) when I first arrived and Paul was busy. Paul, both on the phone when making an appointment and in person, was very helpful and knowledgeable. Ultimately 2 of the places I got second opinions on gave me the same diagnosis but the dealer was ~20% more expensive (for a non-Toyota part..the Toyota part was almost 2x the price) so I chose to use a mechanic in Hampton. Since I did not choose to service my vehicle here I paid a $59.95 diagnostic fee which I think is still reasonable. Overall, however, it was a positive experience and I would come back. Everyone I met with was friendly including one of the women who assisted my with my rental for the day ($35 + tax) and was baking cookies for guests that day! read more

I have purchased and leased many vehicles over the years. I always relished in doing my research, knowing cost info inside and out and went to a dealer with my game face on ready for a tough negotiation. I always knew what I was willing to pay and had no problem walking out and working 1, 2, 3 dealers or more against each other until I got the price I was comfortable with. My most recent transaction at Fred Beans, with Anne Tom was very different. I again did my research, knew what I was willing to spend and the car & options I wanted. I was loaded for bear, but after a test drive was provided with a price that was right on the money. They cleaned up the car and had it ready that afternoon while we waited. In fact, because they felt we waited longer than we should have they, paid for our lunch. Everyone we dealt with that day was friendly and courteous. It was probably the easiest negotiation I've had. My only disappointment was I never had a real chance (or necessity) for the hard-knuckle dealing I was prepared for. I would certainly give them first-crack on future vehicle purchases. read more

Rose Nova is an amazing and caring sales woman who truly cares about the customer and not just about making a sale. I can not say the same for her younger boss who tried to force us into a sale we could not afford. Rose did everything she could for us but her boss tried to take over and kept telling us he was working on the price and then would come back with the same quote and say we HAD to lease a new car. Rose did everything she could for us and didn't pressure us. We didn't buy a car their mainly because of her boss but when we need a new car we will be going to Rose Nova hands down. read more

Don't go this place! I bought a Camaro here and they were incredibly rude. During the transaction, they walked away for long periods of time and didn't come back until we got impatient with them. They wouldn't budge on price and didn't negotiate at all. The woman (named Ann Tom) yelled at my mom saying this isn't a negotiation. They didn't inspect the car properly and I later found out my windshield wipers weren't working. They also didn't give me the owners manual. They're horrible, don't go here. I have been meaning to write this review for the last 6 weeks! I had been trying to hold off as long as possible on purchasing a new vehicle because the lack of a monthly car payment is so nice! However, my car needed more work than it was worth so my fiancé and I started the search for my new vehicle back in the summer. My parents had purchased a CRV and they raved about it and my fiancé is a Toyota guy so we were back and forth between the two brands. We went to a handful of dealerships to test drive and research (both in NY where I am from and in NJ). Being pregnant with our second child, my fiancé was encouraging me to pick an SUV for the added space and overall better option he felt. I never thought I would have an SUV because I have always tended to gravitate toward smaller cars. After trying the HRV, CRV, and RAV4, I 110% felt comfortable with the RAV4. It is such a smooth ride, I love the leather interior/heated seats/sun roof/all weather mats, and the size is actually perfect for me. When we went to Fred Beans, it was a totally relaxed experience and we felt no pressure whatsoever. We really weren't even sure if we would get the vehicle that day because we were researching the various dealerships but the customer service, deal for the vehicle, and overall experience at Fred Beans had us walking away with a new vehicle that day. Bill Risavy was our salesperson and he is exceptional. Again, they didn't attack you as you as you walked on their property, they explained everything in excellent detail and nothing came as a surprise, the process was relaxed and not stressful at all, and we couldn't be happier. The dealership itself is very clean and nice. We even referred my fiancé's mom and she got a new vehicle the next weekend from there. I would recommend this dealership to anyone looking for an enjoyable experience with purchasing a new vehicle! read more

I had tried a few other car dealerships before I settled on Fred Beans Toyota Flemington. I felt that they offered great customer service . My salesperson was Dave Sanchez who was professional and knowledgeable .Dave listened carefully to what I needed in a car . He gave me undivided attention which I appreciated . On my second visit the car of my choice was sitting outside the showroom . Went for a test drive and I knew that this was the Toyota that had my interest. Financial arrangements were made with Laura who was efficient and friendly . The next day my new car was waiting for me . Dave made sure that all my questions and concerns were addressed . If not he stated that I could always contact him which I appreciated . I love my Toyota . That day I drove off the lot with the color and make that I had requested . A great car dealer tries to do good all of the time and when that does not initially happen, they make things right as soon as they can. I would give this dealership 0 stars if I could. I came to this dealership based on a recommendation, I clearly didn't have the same experience. First and foremost I'll point out that they falsely claim they use KBB for trade in value, because my car in KBB with all of the worse marks got double the value they gave it (my first sign I should have turned away). After searching for a car for a little over a year, finally found what we wanted with them. We were looking for certified, and it was difficult to find. The first time we showed up at the dealer the car had scratches on the molding and it wouldn't start. I looked passed the car not starting as it was the battery, and assumed it would be replaced in a certified car, and honestly, car batteries die. (Second sign we should have turned away). The second time we looked at the car the scratches were gone I hadn't given it much thought, it was a certified car and certified cars can't be in a previous accident if they are certified (if you buy from an honest dealer). I take my car home, and low and behold one night I am stranded in a parking lot with a dead battery, cold, late, and with 2 small toddlers. They didn't change the battery, and it took some convincing on my part to cover it under the certified warrantee (I mean it was dead when I test drove it!!!!!). I thought the worst was over, until I took the vehicle for its first oil change 6,000 miles later, and the dealership (not where I bought the car from). Claimed my rear tires were bald! How could this happen after only 6,000 miles???? The tires were brand new when purchased (now I know the sienna eats tires, but not completely bald with belts coming out that quick!). I took it back from this dealership, and brought it back to Fred Beans Toyota, as clearly something was wrong when I bought the car. After some investigating it turns out the rear axle was bent, they tried to put it on me saying I did it. To have that kind of wear in the tires, I would have had to do some major damage day one (in which case I would have take. Ownership and fixed it on my own). When I brought this up to the dealership they agreed to fix it, but using a non-factory "quick fix" on my certified car....NO WAY!!!! After weeks of fighting with the dealership, I was able to get them to replace the axle, but this was no thanks to the dealership, but thanks to Toyota USA to listening to my concerns and replacing it in good faith. Needless to say I have had this car almost a year, and now it is becoming more clear that this car was in an accident before I purchased it, and a pretty serious accident to have bent the axle (I'm assuming that's why they covered the scratches on the molding with no record of it in the system, clearly the scratches are related to an accident and lol if the damage, because it's all in the same spot on the car). So in all I don't recommend this dealership one bit, as they are shady, dishonest, and I would never trust their "certified cars." Please learn from my awful mistake and save yourself the trouble of going here!! read more

I bought a Toyota Camry hybrid 2013 at the Flemington NJ showroom. I shook hands with the sales person Dave Duda agreeing for a 0% interest over five years. This took place at the end of the day and during the flurry of paperwork I was given a 3.77% interest rate over six years contract. This took place in October 2013 today's date is February 19, 2014 and I'm still dealing with them trying to fix this error. After investigation they reluctantly agreed that a mistake was made. Brad Hangathal tried to assist me and was able to get me a 1.99% interest over six years. Spoke to a man by the name of Bruce at this dealership was yelled that and screamed to me over the telephone. I had to speak to Fred beans assistant Carol Glass multiple times to get return phone calls and emails as promised by showroom personnel. A commitment letter on the inside of the sales folder states from Fred Bean that he will be happy to call you and he also offers his office number and home phone number stating you can call him 24 hours a day seven days a week. It's been weeks I'm still waiting for that phone call. In short, do yourself a favor and shop at any other dealership besides Fred Beans. I feel stolen from and lied to. read more

I leased a Camry from Anne Tom. She spent a few minutes talking about the car, and probably an hour telling me how vital it was that I rate her "excellent" on her assessment so that she would get a bonus and get to go on a trip. Then, after 3 years when my lease was up, I was shopping around for a new one. I contacted Anne, but said specifically that I was really busy and only wanted communicate via email. She continued to call me. I wouldn't answer, and would send emails reiterating that I wanted no phone calls. She'd answer the emails and then continue to call. She'd call me at least three times a day -- at home, at work, and on my cell. I never answered, because I was too busy and because I found it incredibly disrespectful. THEN, the kicker -- she looked up my PARENTS' home phone number and started calling THEM. I could not believe it. I'm 35 years old and haven't lived with my parents in years, and she's harassing them, asking them to have me call her. At that point Fred Beans lost my business forever. I went with Princeton Toyota instead, because they communicated with me via email only as I'd asked. What a concept! read more

Snakes! Typical car salesmen. Tried to convince me they're were trying to help me (they weren't) and would give me a great deal (they didn't).. Like every other car sales person they're just out to make a sale, they don't care about you. Very negative experience and I will definitely never return or go to any other Fred Beans dealership. I now have MULTIPLE hits on my credit which lowered my score because they ran my credit so many times, when I specifically told them what bank I wanted to go with and that I knew I was approved because I had spoken to the bank and had a approval packet. They wanted to see if I could get approved with their Toyota Financial Services because it would somehow benefit them.. I was told I was filling out a credit application for the bank I had told them I wanted to work with, even though I held an approval notice right in my hands that the bank said I could show them.. But the credit app was in reality just a general credit app that they used to run my credit for multiple banks, which were over 5 which each took a hard hit on my credit score.. I don't suggest going here, whether you have fantastic credit and can easily get approved or have awful credit and need some help, don't waste your time they're just going to screw you in the end. read more

We got our 2017 Sienna yesterday. The buying experience was way beyond my expectations. Greg, the store manager made the purchase and old car trade in so easy. We don't have to worry about tricks and number games at all. He is very honest. Dave, the salesman, is very nice and patient. Before we went out to this dealership, we got confused after we read some reviews here. It turns out that this dealership is amazing. Our friends (who got two cars from here) told us this is a nice place to buy a car because this place really cares about their customers. Dont ever go to fred bean flemington I went into the dealership with a friend not looking to purchase a new car but was presured into a vehicle I am not happy with. After 3 calls and no return call I went to the dealership and asked to be taken out of my lease and put into a cheaper vehicle. The sales man finally returned my call and was very very rude about telling me how I can not get out of the lease unless I give him more money for a SUV that was less than the one I have. I was very unsatisfied with his attude and the way he spoke to me. The only two things I said I really want is leather and a sun roof, well I got one and he proceeded to tell me if I give him yet another 1000 he can have it put in. I tried to leave the dealership two times and was pressured into getting a SUV I hate. Driving the SUV for ten minutes was certainly not enough time to make a decision but he was not letting me leave without a sale. Looking back I should have just walked out and kept my BMW and not gotten the venza he talked me into. I would not recommend this dealership to my worst enemy. Purchased a 2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee for daughter to go to college. At first the Jeep was a great buy, we thought. Since we leave in PA, we had to get the Jeep inspected at Fred Bean's Jeep in Doylestown. So far, two inspections from FB dealerships. Less then 6 months later we noticed wear on the inside of both back tires. After talking to a few mechanics we thought it was just poor tires, I purchased 4 new ones. A short time after that, it was happening again. I did some research on a Jeep forum and it was mentioned that the rear axle on this vehicle has a tendency to bend. I mentioned it to the Doylestown Jeep service center and showed them the invoice that I found in the glove compartment that showed new tires were put on the Jeep just before traded into the Flemmington Bean's dealership. Bean's service center could not locate the problem and charged me with a wheel alignment. The dirty trick is, the rear axle on this model cannot be aligned. So after they could not repair it or took my advise, I had a personnel mechanic remove the rear and it was bent. We since replaced it and all issues are gone. I notified BOTH dealerships and FB customer service, with pictures to see if they will refund the cost of 6 tires and the rear since they knowingly sold an extremely unsafe vehicle to us. I have called and left emails with the salesman at Flemmington and he just tells me the used car personnel will get back to me. This has been over 6 months. FB Customer service never responded either. This is an FYI: have a good idea what the problem is before taking it in for service! Also, recently, I had the oil changed in my Jeep and it was two quarts low within a few weeks. I will check the levels for now on before I drive away. read more

truck I traded in a 2015 Tacoma TRD off rd Blue, is being sold as a clean Carfax even after I told them it was In a collision, with frame damage. Carfax has not received the report from the insurance company but regardless, they are aware and some unsuspecting person will purchase it and later find out it's not worth anywhere near what they paid for it. CROOKS? Still waiting on the paperwork for my new truck as my temporary tags expire soon. Would NOT recommend this dealer to anyone!!!!! This is a very nice looking dealership until you start dealing with their sales team. First off I don't appreciate being lied to. We were car shopping and leaving to look at other cars and they told us they were closing at 6 which was 10 minutes away. They were actually closing at 8 and were clearly using a rush tactic. Then once it was time to figure out the price it was time to use the delay tactics. We were putting money down and trading in a 2005 Toyota and the price was higher than the sticker!? We ultimately left then we got a call first thing in the morning saying they would take another thousand off. They probably would have sold the car the night before if they gave us that deal and were nicer. Very unfriendly, cold and combative. They were talking to us like we didn't understand math. My wife went to an ivy league university and is an attorney. We understand math. They just didn't understand sales. read more

I had my Toyota 4runner serviced there for the first time and BIG MISTAKE. Brad the service advisor over charged me for synthetic oil, (even though I had a coupon from their website), It gets worse. Brad had my truck washed so when I saw outside, i noticed that there were soap splattered all over it. I asked Brad about why it has soap splattered all over the truck and truck very dirty (truck was cleaner before they washed it), he didn't seem to care at all and then the casher replied, "well it's winter, what do you expect". then the tech removed my skid plate w/o my authorization and after tech removed it, Brad told me about it. I later found out after leaving the dealership that the tech, broke the screws when he put the skid plate back together. I found this out from a great family owned automotive that I took my truck to. Very unfriendly/shady service area. When I confronted the casher about why I was being over charged a different price from what the website is stating, she gives me some bs and says "we gave you the better synthetic oil, Mobil 1 is very expensive, we didn't want to give you the other synthetic oil that we have". COMPLETE BS, EVEN THE GM TOLD ME THAT WAS BS. THE GM, HOWEVER is great, very professional and contacted me about this a few times and they are lucky to have him but he does need to implement some serious training on the entire service staff, including and especially the service manager WHO BEGAN SHOUTING/YELLING AT ME WHEN I CONTACTED HIM ABOUT BEING OVER CHARGED, ETC. I'M GOING TO WRITE TO THE TOYOTA REGIONAL OFFICE ABOUT ALL OF THIS. DO YOUR SELF A FAVOR, GO TO ANOTHER TOYOTA DEALERSHIP!!!! read more

Visited Fred Beans Toyota to purchase a certified Toyota Highlander on 02 Jan 16 after seeing it on their website. Met with salesman who was relatively nice and after a test drive we sat down to discuss a possible deal. I requested the carfax and maintaince records which they gladly provided. After a few back and forths with the salesman I noticed that the maintaince records noted that a rear bearing had been repaired last month. It then noted that now a front noise can be clearly heard which was determined to be from the transmission followed by the note that the car needs a new transmission. I bought this to the attention of the salemen and he appeared unaware of the problem. I told him I was surprised that Fred Beans would attempt to sell a Toyota certified vehicle with a 160 point inspection with such a major repair needed. I walked away after the manager attempted to close the deal without much success after I showed him the mantainance record. The "certified" Highlander is still on their website for sale. Bottom line is that their certified cars don't really seem to be certified at all, just washed and the interior cleaned then put on the lot with a 12 month warranty. Buyer beware... read more
