After looking at various new and used options, my brother ended up putting a $500 deposit towards a new 4Runner. After reviewing the price sheet, I noticed the following: 1. $2995 "Market Adjustment" Overcharge (no other local dealerships had this for the same exact model) 2. $229 Weather Matt Double Charge (these were already included in the off-road upgrade package) 3. $500 Window Tinting Overcharge (other dealerships added feature for $395 versus $895 at Fred Haas Toyota) I returned with my brother with the price sheet from Guyo Toyota of Conroe for the same exact model (different color) asking for a price match and got quite a show from the sales rep. He called the Conroe dealership with a fake name and asked for a quote over the phone without putting it on speaker. I can't make this up! It was almost out of a sketch and very unprofessional. The meeting resulted in the Fred Haas Toyota sales rep asking us to visit Conroe in person and confirm the deal as stated. We did just as asked and sent scanned images of the CONFIRMED price sheet for the same exact model to the Fred Haas Toyota sales rep and were once again met with a wall. He told us that the price was set and we could not receive a refund for the $500 deposit. The attached picture is a flyer that I found right at the entrance of the dealership. Bought a great car from Fred Haas and overall had a good experience. Only problem is the front-facing staff speaking to customers and answering the phone. There is not one front-facing staff that values a Customer's time and all are completely incompetent. Called three times looking to speak with someone in new car sales, and was transferred to a dead line not in service each time. Absolutely the worst front-facing service I have ever encountered. I believe it is so substandard and so incompetent that the dealership must be losing sales over it. BEWARE OF SERVICE CENTER! TECHS ARE FULL OF IT! Bought a new Tundra in 2015 that I maintained well. At 120k miles, took it in for oil change and was told I had a leaking water pump and bad belt they quoted me $1600 to fix. Had no leak whatsoever but frantically bought a new water pump and belt. Took the truck to a mechanic, he laughed. Now at 220k miles, same water pump..changed belt at 165k miles only because it squeaked. Recently, took my 2015 Corolla here for the first time for an oil change. Car has been maintained well and has 66k miles. Had new tires put on at Discount tire 3 years ago/ ~19,000 miles put on tires. Got a text update stating there were 2 punctures in one tire that were not fixable and another tire was dry rotted. They quoted me $366 to fix. Checked the dates on tires and they were new the year I bought them. Took car to Discount Tire since I had a certificate/warranty and they took off the tires, leak tested them and could not find any punctures or dry rot on other tires. Idk if the techs are inhaling CO in there but it's very inconvenient to try to fix issues that aren't there. read more

We had told him we were moving out of state by a certain date so it was imperative we had it all set by a specific week. He was able to deliver the car. Fast forward to the problems: he refused to remove the $60 connectivity kit and other things "as extra" because he said the car "comes with all that." When we were about to leave, he stated the car mats (purchased at $350) were not in yet. We literally waited 2 more hours after already spending 2hrs from the whole purchase process, was told to come back the next day. Came back, and was told "sales were closed" so came back two days later during the week, and the person we were supposed to get these mats from are still not available. Bought a vehicle over a week ago. When we first arrived, you have a typical salesman waiting outside to start bombarding you. We ended up giving him a shot despite of how unprofessional he was dressed and carried himself. I kind of already knew what kind of car I wanted but I wanted to test drive them and see which one I was more into. First of our salesperson Javier did not really help us out and didn't know much about the vehicle. After test driving one vehicle he gave me the keys to another one, without asking For my license or information. He said he had friends over that he wanted to talk to and then said we could drive off with the car alone he would see us later. Once we got back, we decided to go through numbers, during the time it was a lot of back and forth and rarely communicated with us. He swore he was giving me a deal but once I arrived to finance I realized that wasn't the case. Fast forward...after working with finance I had to go back and meet him, Javier the salesman. Once I went back and he knew forms were signed he was like "whatever" and wouldn't even listen to my questions about the vehicle. Instead I received small talk and kind of pushed me away. The next day the car had a smell to it, when I tried contacting him the first time he didn't answer my call nor did he return it. I then decided to call him again and when finally answered he was not very helpful. His attitude was like so what, what do you want me to do. Overall I don't recommend this salesperson at all, Javier was not the best to work with and if I'm being honest his commission should have gone to someone else. Took this man 15 minutes to get the keys after saying he'll be back in 2 minutes. Mind you its 100 degrees in texas summer. He came out to tell us most of these cars are already sold and they only have 10 left in the style we wanted so we asked to see the ones that are available. 2016 Toyota Tundra wouldnt start. Beat on the Starter and it started. Took it here to have them replace the starter under the extended warranty. They kept the truck for 3 days saying they couldnt get it not to start. Said they couldnt get any codes to read. Wanted to keep it extra days to try and get it not to start. They never could get it to not start after 3 days I went and took the truck back from them. They had the nerve to charge me $200 to simply try and start the truck. Then they told me as I was leaving they found another issue that needs to be fixed. Would cost $3400 to fix. Wanted me to contact the extended warranty company to see if they would over it. Through the years, they have been consistent with the quality of work completed except for one Toyota Safety Recall requiring a underside frame replacement for vehicles that were driving in cold weather which would cause rust. Some rust is bound to appear, but I drove from the East Coast through extreme weather on the Alaska Canadian highway and I lived in Alaska for a few years. Needless to say, even keeping the underside clean from the annual Spring Thaw was no match for rust. Moved back to the lower 48, had my truck inspected by Fred Haas and they say the rust does not meet the threshold for replacement. I was like really..sad face!! I think they did not want to do the warranty work but hey another day to fight. This was the only issue through the years with this dealership so in the grand scheme it is not bad. read more

I bought a brand new car last year from this disreputable dealership. I work for an auto repair shop and was told I could get my shop to do any warranty work I might need. This was the first lie. I was given a big pitch about all the bells and whistles my car came with to try out for a limited time. I was really interested in the remote start feature. I got so many calls about setting it up and an entire trees worth of mail as well. After trying to set it up for a couple of MONTHS and hours spent on the phone with different "experts" I learned from my own research that it isn't even available on my car because I have a manual transmission. I got a nail in a tire and was just going to have my shop get a new tire. Not so fast - turns out it is a proprietary tire - for a Corolla. They told me to get it I would have to drive the 20 miles to their dealership even though they said it was under warranty. Instead I had them deliver the tire to my shop and they kept it at retail pricing. Next I had my battery go bad. Instead of being able to provide the dealership with proof of the dead battery, they wanted me to have it TOWED the 20 miles so they could verify it themselves to replace it. I was expected to take hours of my time for something we had computer verification of, for a dead battery in a year old car. I really think they look for any reason to not take care of their customers. Now, I have one of the tracks that moves my seat closer and farther from the steering wheel stripped to the point that I can barely get it close enough to drive. Even though I am supposed to work until 6PM I left work early so I could have a car I could safely drive. I tried to make an appointment online but that said it would be next week before I could make an appointment. Since it is a safety issue I decided to leave work early and make the drive. Their service department is open until 7PM. I tried calling but kept being put on hold and getting voicemails. I get here an hour before they close only to be told all of their technicians are gone by 5PM. It's the complete opposite of what I was told when I had the other problems. I was told then, as long as I was here before closing they would take care of me. The lies they tell continue to grow. Add to this their lovely service writer starts off telling me that it's going to cost me $150 to look at my car to even find out if it is a warranty issue because maybe I did something to modify it or tamper with it. Great customer service, to start a conversation with accusations. I asked to speak to the manager who told me I will have to come back tomorrow and apologized for not having a cushion I could sit on in place of a seat that works. Typically of all the bad press dealerships get - they will promise anything to get the sale and then you have to learn it is all lies. Do not go here. I wouldn't trust them with an oil change. They do anything to get out of honoring their warranty and treat people who actually have to work for a living abysmally. This past Saturday 3/29/25 I purchased a grand highlander limited from Fred Haas dealership. Before I arrived the vehicle I wanted I had already priced online through the dealership. Dealer price was around 53,000 online and vehicle was listed with 0 miles. Now mind you it was a 2024 model that was "brand new." Ok...I was contacted by Eric Kopinitz to come in and look at the vehicle. Well when I arrived he quickly pond me off to another sales associate, Allen, who I could tell was very new but very nice guy. Initially Allen showed me a highlander I was not interested in that was about 7 to 8 thousand over my budget and was not the vehicle I told Eric I was interested in. I then pointed out the one I was interested in only to find the dealer price on the vehicle and what they had listed on the website was a 3000 dollar difference now making the vehicle 56,000 or so dollars. No biggie still, test drove it and loved it even though it also had a mileage 113 and not 0 as the website listed. Again this was no biggie either I mean it was 2024 although brand new I am sure had been test driven several times since its arrival to the dealership. I was still able to get to my price point without a large down payment so I purchased the vehicle. The next day I found that the driver's side control for the front passenger did not work to roll down the window. Again no biggie, took it back to dealership and it was just a programming issue that was fixed in about an hour. The next day I noticed the vehicle did not have floor mats. Since I had been shown the vehicle that was priced above my price range initially but was also a grand highlander limited that had floor mats I thought well maybe they took them out and left them out when they serviced the vehicle I had actually purchased. I called Eric Kopinitz and was again immediately pond off to Allan to check and see what the car was suppose to come with as someone from the dealership conveniently throw away the one that was on the vehicle. Allan calls back to say the floor mats were not included in a 56,000 vehicle that is a limited model and that I could purchase them from the dealership. Allan said there was nothing he could do concerning this matter. For me its the little things that have all now added up. No one likes to feel used. Everybody was all smiles and I quote Eric " I'm a nice guy" but handled no situation even though small given to him. I have never in my life even a lower end model vehicle seen one that did not come without floor mats. Per Allan "the manufacturer" sent the car that way, which I find hard to believe. Little things matter and this customer will never purchase from them again and will be getting all maintenance on the vehicle through another toyota dealership. Took my car in for a routine oil change and now it's not starting and I am stranded. They told me they will have to diagnose it tomorrow and don't have a rental or anything to get me home. They are saying it's bad gas when I only get Shell gas and been driving on this tank for days. Their technicians broke my vehicle and they do not want to take responsibility for it. I had no issues with my car until I took it in. They said my vehicle was ready and they completed the oil change and inspection and now it won't even start out of their own service lot. I had used the USAA and trueCar car buying pricing I found. Ashley was a professional from the moment she texted me after receiving my info to following up with any questions I had. I knew what I wanted, and I don't like a sales pitch. I came with my own financing from NavyFed, and a few other offers from other Toyota places as well just in case!! Wish I could leave zero stars. These people first of all do NOT honor their guarantee to match other dealerships prices. It's completely fine if you don't want to match but don't make it a "Toyota world guarantee" to do so (especially when the quote was just a few hundred less and close to MSRP). But nevertheless I understand it's their decision not to accept but I therefore no longer wanted the car. I had put a $500 reservation deposit on a Corolla that had yet to arrive to the lot. When requesting a refund The salesperson, Dana, lied straight to my face and said the money could not be returned and there was not a single manager on duty. I then asked the receptionist and she directed me to a sales manager who said the money COULD be returned and someone would be in contact. Not sure if its a thing of thinking since I am young woman naive woman or what but they have yet to contact me despite my efforts to reach out daily .I have called and gone in person and get told each time that their is no one on site that can help me and they will get back to me ( if i'm lucky enough to not just get a voicemail message). My husband and I drove an hour to this location on Sunday, with it being the only Toyota open, in hopes to buy a new car pretty much off the lot because one of our vehicles broke down unexpectedly over the weekend. Fred Haas was the worst car buying experience my husband and I have ever experienced for the following reasons. 1. Upon arrival, my husband stated he wanted to buy a new car, but wanted to use the bathroom first. Carlos, the salesmen, while my husband was in the bathroom, left myself and my mother in law out shivering in the cold asking if my husband "had ever financed a car before". We said yes, and he continued to ask questions that was clearly gauging if my husband and I were financially able to buy. I told Carlos that I was going to wait inside, as it was cold. 2. Once my husband was ready, we walked back out to Carlos. We stated that we were looking to buy either a new RAV4 or a new Tacoma. Carlos walked us out to the Tacoma's. We asked to see the low and medium tier option as these options were the ones in our price range. Carlos walked us to the low tier option, and I asked if we could see the interior. Carlos said, "I don't have the keys and I want to show you the higher tier options before getting the keys". Not what we asked, but okay. Whatever. Carlos takes us to the higher tier options, and we tell him to please get the keys so we can see the interior. I asked him if he knew the measurement of the Tacoma from back wheel to edge of the bed, as we were gauging the ability to put a Tacoma into our garage. He stated he didn't know. When asking him if a measuring tape was available, he said there was not one available. 3. We stated that we would like to test drive a Tacoma so that my husband could get a feel. First, Carlos stated that we would need to go inside so that he could gather our information before driving the car around the block. Makes sense. We obliged, no problem. After we consented, Carlos back tracked and said, "Actually, due to low inventory, I can't be taking cars out to drive and risk putting miles on the cars". I told him that we weren't going to buy a car without test driving it, and he stated that we "could drive it around the parking lot then". I asked him if he still needed our information, and he said no. He went to get the keys, told us to at we could go get in the car, and when we turned the car on, there a light came on that said something along the line of, "no fuel, put gas in the car immediately". My husband took a picture of the message and we walked back up the Carlos and said there was no gas in the car to be able to drive. Carlos said, "it's just going in the parking lot, you'll be fine." This was extremely upsetting to my husband and I, because Carlos told us 10 minutes earlier that one of his other Tacoma's was going out for a test drive and because of this, we couldn't look at it. 4. We drive the car around the parking lot, with, and I'm not exaggerating, the car having ZERO miles back in the car, and Carlos said upon returning the key, "so are y'all not going to buy today?" We told him, "I think we're just looking to get a feel for a car beforehand, and we would like to go take a look at the used car options so that we can get a full picture idea." Carlos told us to walk over to the used car area and left. 5. When we walked into the used car area, a salesman came up to us immediately and asked what we were looking for. We explained that we were looking at either RAV4s or Tacomas, and expressed that we had came from the new car lot where our salesman was unhelpful. This salesman said, "well if you want to look over here; you're going to have to go get that guy to help you." For completions sake, I think it's worth mentioning that my husband and I look very young. We are in our mid twenties. It seems as if Fred Haas was ageist against and profiled my husband and I, assuming that we didn't have the financial means to pay for a car. This is in spite of me stating within the first 5 minutes that we bought a brand new 2023 RAV4 with minimal financing a year prior at Mac Haik in South Houston. (That was paid off within a year.) My husband is an engineer, and I am a dentist. We are by no means struggling to pay for a new car. Now, my husband is still out of a car and unable to go to work tomorrow because he will have to spend the day at other dealerships trying to find something, because we were turned away. read more

I bought my 2022 Toyota Tundra (love the truck) from this dealership 4 months ago and was surprised when my financing institution called and informed that Fred Haas finance department had added the tax twice upon signing. I should have realized that because when I was handed the keys, the sales person was surprised when I told her the finance guy added another $3000.00 on the price due to a "mistake" she made. Nonetheless, both myself my financing institution made several calls to that dealership to rectify the problem but to no avail even if the finance guy initially could not explain why was the additional $3000.00 added. They played the game until it was crunch-time (honor the invoice or return the truck) and I decided to sign the docs because I did not want to wait an additional two months for another vehicle. Upon receiving the truck I immediately installed aftermarkets wheels. Last month (December) a nail got into one the tires and the TPMS warning light came on. After the tire was repaired Discount Tire was unable to reset the TPMS after several tries. I then went to Firestore and Mercedes Benz but neither colud not reset the TPMS and told me it was a software issue with the truck. I then went to AutoNation Toyota who tried and could not and agreed the TPMS on the tires were working fine but wanted $195.00 an hour to "trouble shoot the error. They could not honor the warranty because the truck was not purchased from them and there were no error codes to go by. After contacting Toyota USA, I was advised that this was indeed a software Issue and I should take the truck to Fred Hass Toyota and since the truck was still under warranty they will rectify free of charge. After explaining the issue to Ricardo, he took the truck in and about 30 minute later the truck was ready. Sadly, they they gave me a bill for $192.00 claiming that even if the truck was under warranty the work performed was deemed as diagnostic hence the reason for the charge. Can you image that? Because of my experience I would NEVER advise anyone to do business with any Fred Hass dealership. Shame on Fred Hass Toyota! read more

Recently became a Toyota person and decided to try the dealership out for early service intervals. I spent the last ten years going to the Lexus dealership for oil changes and I wanted to try this out. Amenities 4/5 Of course there won't be as many perks and amenities as a Lexus dealership, but this place is pretty good. Lounge, 2 VIP rooms, community coffee pot and soda area, children's play area. I didn't expect much but it was good enough Advisors 4/5 I had two pretty good advisers who seemed straightforward and honest. There are a few advisors who are not very good but that happens at every dealership. Things are a lot more rushed here so you don't get as much time to discuss explanations but I have a newer vehicle so that hasn't been tested out fully. Service 4/5 but 1/5 this past time overall oil changes and tire rotations are pretty straightforward. You get phone calls during and they update you. I did have a really bad experience where they changed my brakes and it was making a horrible scratching grinding clicking noise afterwards and I had to take a trip in another car and then come back and bring the car in again. They did not feel bad at all and then they just said that this happens a lot. The only reason anyone would go to a dealership is to get highest quality service done on their car from trained technicians. If this apparently happens frequently than I'm going to have to go to an independent place instead. They weren't really able to give any explanation. I would understand if it was a faulty part. At least the service advisor was honest. Generally service is pretty straightforward and timely the last three times I went. Payment is easy and your car does get a wash if you ask for it. Still on the fence about going in for the next service. If a dealership messes up, doesn't offer the customer anything to make things better, and doesn't feel bad, then they must be cutting a lot of costs and/or have training issues. read more

This place is not the place to go to buy a car. We ordered a new Camry and they call me about 4 weeks later to pick it up. When we get there they offer us $5000 less than Carmax and 13% interest. Neither was acceptable so I said no deal. They dropped the interest to 5.99% and added $500 on the trade in. Then to find out they overcharged on the car by $3000. I know u have to watch them all but this one is terrible. Their service dept is the greatest but car sales not so much. read more

Mohamad is worthless. He brings new meaning to slimy salesman. Really do not feel like writing the whole thing down. However, he as off and didn't want to go the extra mile to get the info I requested on a sienna. He said that his manager said the car would be there in the morning. He called and we started the ball rolling. Turns out, he took another deposit from another customer and left me high and dry. Then I called the managment 4 times to discuss with the staff, and not return call or even answering my calls. I would advise against going here...... .If they are willing to lie to someone willing to drive 6 hours to come buy a car, what will they do to locals? Also, Mark was a good guy!! Very professional..... I should have stuck with him but I was trying to do the right thing since I spoke to Khan first. My fault for trying to be the honest, righteous one. read more

We visited this particular dealership yesterday in search of a new car, and as we walked around we noticed one of the Toyota Highlanders was leaking water from the roof! I tried telling one of the associates about the issue, but instead of seeming alarmed he said "oh okay" walked back to his golf cart, and plotted himself back down. If they don't take care about the cars they sell then I can only imagine the horrible experience I will have if I bought one from them. read more

These people will scam you, they knew we needed a car and charged us almost 10K in warranty they tacked on as we were paying, they played it off as if it was part of their "certification" and we thought it was included until we saw how much the loan was.!These people will scam you!!! I am so upset, disgusted, and mad as hell. I have been working with them for a week to get into a new car. I finely get it all worked out, show up for my appointment to pick it up and sign paperwork. I had to have a friend drive from Houston to San Leon to pick me up, to arrive and find out they sold the car (that was sapose to be on hold for me) So after a 100 mile trip to finely have the car I wanted THEY BLEW IT! I am so past angry. I gave tw0 stars for the sales person who did everything she did to get the deal done just to have it sucked out from under her, and the hold she had on it. Ricky (the ass I spoke with today) in my book don't care about the client and will underhandly mess with other sales people hard work. Congrats Ricky you win the jerk of the week award, snicky, snake that you are, and come to find out you knew Friday I would be in today and you still sold my car. read more

I can only review the service center. Make an appointment for your vehicle and things work like gangbusters. This place open for 7am, and you will see people waiting even then for their appointment slots. Really busy place, so I highly recommend making an appointment. They assign you one of the personnel when you make an appointment, so that minimizes the wait as well. You go directly to your assigned person, and he puts you in the queue. I see they have many awards for customer service, as well as sales, in the main area, so you may just possibly score a deal here. There truly do have friendly staff members that work well together. I like my Katy location better because there is not a free oil change every 5th oil change here, then that 6th oil change is $20 off. Here, when you make an appointment, you get about $5 off your oil change service. You still get the free shuttle service for around the area when your vehicle is getting worked on here. There is free and strong Wi-Fi here as well. Be forewarned that you are blocked from Facebook on their Wi-Fi. There is also an on-site Enterprise rent a car station. One thing they have over my Katy location is they have a carbonated beverage AND coffee station here while you wait. When you bring your vehicle in, along with the multi-point inspection, they do check for vehicle recalls and coupons for you. I wish oil changes would take about 30 minutes, like my Katy location, but on average, you will be in there about an hour. There is a business center, as well as a child play area, while you make your lengthy wait for your service. read more

I contacted this dealership about buying a GR86. They had one listed on Autotrader for 31,704. This is correctly the msrp for that car minus destination. When I contact them they told me they could get me on for nearly 42k. Can you see where this is going and why I will not deal with people like this and not even step into their showroom? One day the car market will normalize and this won't be a thing anymore. So I will NEVER do business now or in the future with a dealership that takes advantage of people and charge over 9k on a vehicle just because they can. read more

One star as a delicacy. Woke up having such a great day, loving the sun, and feeling the warmth of life surround me. Went to get an oil change and some minor fixes after making an appointment. Got there at assigned time slot and took a seat without knowing the atrocity that was about to take control of my life. As I sat there waiting n singing n humming..I wondered about the ways of life and what the people around me were thinking about or if they had had their morning squat or not. Anyway..at some point I got the first call n needed a filter change so I went ahead and gave the okay that they could charge me and in a few short minutes I would be called back to pick up my keys and I'd be soon out of their hair!!! At some point I realized that an hour had gone by which shortly turned into 1hr and a half. Everyone that had gotten there after me was long gone. So, at that point I asked if it was almost ready and they said soon! Some more time passed....like abt 10 min and one of the workers there asked if I was there for a service and what exactly needed to be done to my car. He asks if I can take a quick seat and that he'd have my car out shortly after. I realize he's going back and forth and asking some of the technicians some questions but were too out of reach to listen to. I once again see them all run back and forth avoiding eye contact and by that point I realized they might've just been tugging my funny bone without realizing. Main worker guy ends up coming up to me and (when the next words come out of his mouth my stomach sinks) "we are very sorry but we seem to have lost your keys. The main guy working on your car left early and we looked and no one can find them. I'm very sorry. Come back in the morning and we'll have it all ready for you." "If you guys end up finding it can you call me tonight and I can come back to pick it up?" "I'm sorry no..your best bet would be to come back in the morning, no one's going to look for them..we're all getting ready to go home" Are u kidding me. Like bruh are u serious. What do u mean "go home". Like find my keys. I was there since 230 and left at 9 after a manager was called and he himself looked for my keys for an extra hour.
