Let people access the vending machine in the area you close at 8pm. I understand closing the front doors but to also close and just not allow people to enter for merchandise that is sold by other vendors in that small area between the other set of automatic doors. Yall are the only Fred Meyer in a 20 mile radius that doesn't allow it. All the other are just fine with you sliding the doors open to get some Pokemon cards to play the claw machine, but yall threaten to trespass people who just want to get a chance at something that is time sensitive? Security guard wouldn't let me in the store at 9:40Pm. 20 minutes before the store was supposed to close. Change the hours if you won't let people in by that time. Ridiculous. And it happens frequently sometimes it's 20 minutes before closing sometimes it's 10 and yes, the solution is go earlier but by the time I get off work sometimes I only have 30 minutes to spare. I'd be understanding if I was trying to run in five minutes before closing but 20 minutes? They shouldn't be allowed to do that. read more

Not a bad FM, really not bad at all but not as good as the one in Clackamas as far as access and store openness goes. I think less scummy shoplifters here and the store is a little smaller which is not a bad thing - I just prefer the Johnson Creek store to this one. read more

It has been a minute since I've been to a FM. I remember killing time reading a book in one of the aisles as my mother took forever in the store when I was a teenager. This was my first time at this particular location. I picked up some flowers for my sister that had Covid. I also inquired if they had the particular test that she wanted but they've been sold out for awhile. I had to make another stop at a Walgreens. I came in on Sunday and needed an electric cart dirt to a medical issue that I can't put much pressure on my heel too long. I came in the garden center and there were 4 carts in there and I thought Amazing! One dead, 2 say charging do not use, and last one was ready to go, I started to use it and there is a serious problem with the front wheel going around and thud, I didn't get far and it shook the crud out of my injured shoulder, I turned around and took it back with people waiting in line laughing at me on the cart. I put it back out and ran into the gal bringing in carts and let her know the cart needed to be taken out of use as the front wheel issue. Needless to say her I am not able to walk on the heel and no offer to get a cart that works? I went out and got my own lightweight cart since hence shoulder issue I can't push the metal carts. People were still laughing in checkout line when I came back in. I am handicapped due to genetic issues and not only that having severe anxiety and panic attacks alone shopping is hard. I about lost it!! This is not ok! By the time I checked out at the main registers I was almost doubled over in pain, I explained what happened and it was brushed off by 2 people there. So 3 people in one trip and employees no less. I got back out to garden doors where my car was and wouldn't you know it that gal grabbing carts just plugged it back in. I moved away for 2 years and so wanted to come back to your store again and make it the store I prefer to go to. I just feel that total lack of care from the associates just put such a bitter taste in my mouth. By the time I got in my car after loading my groceries, cart I had tears streaming down my face. I had to take Advil and breathe to calm down pain enough to drive home. By the time I got home to Gladstone area, things in house I actually had fallen 2x in parking lot. Take this review as you will, by I say shame on your Fred Meyer. I'm contemplating transferring my families meds completely out of pharmacy & switching stores for my shopping needs. I had 3 buy one get one coupons that I could not use at your store due to the max amount was less than you charge!! When I walked out the door to get my cart I should have left. Hindsight is 20/20 though. I have a birthday cake to pickup this month and I'm sure by then it may be last trip in. I'm disgusted that your associates and company think it's ok for disabled, people with injuries should take this abuse. read more

I usually don't leave reviews but something needs to be said here. I come here weekly for my groceries and other assorted things because it's close to my work and I enjoy the drive. However, things are starting to go downhill at this location so I might start going elsewhere. I might as well bag my own groceries when coming here. The last several times I've gone, including today, the bagger seems to lack common sense and training. I brought 2 freezer bags and requested that everything cold is to go in them, they could use paper bags for the dry goods. When she was packing things she left plenty of empty space in the cold bags and started bagging my cold items in brown bags, including my ice cream sandwiches, frozen breakfast and all of my dairy. She also put produce in the freezer bags and then put meat on top of it all *smh* anyone who knows anything about food safety knows this is a no-no! In the end I had to start bagging my own stuff to fill the freezer bags and then re-do half of everything when I got out to the car. Unacceptable and not impressive at all. read more

Since my last review it has only gotten worse. The employee dress code must be non-existent, many of the adults are dressed like they are either transients, of felk face first into a tackle box after getting their hair dyed. It took 15 minutes to get checked out for two items. There was no one bagginging for the cashier, sad. No, I don't do self check out, I'm not here to work for free. They advertise bottle drop as easy convenient, its not. Not only do you have to PAY for the bags for the privilege of recycling, but you have to drive here to find out at least one of the machines is broken (always) or full. Everytime. I will never go to this store again. On Black Friday I purchased a Nintendo switch from another Fred Meyer. At the time ,they said they were extending the return policy because of the holidays. They put a white sticker on the unit and said don't break the seal or I couldn't return it . My son , unbeknownst to me, wanted an OLED model, which I said no problem. When I took the unit to customer service , she said it had been opened ( it had not)and was past the return date. She called manager Dana, who concurred , who called Gary who never came to talk to me, but said"he didn't feel comfortable with it". The attitude and skill of dealing with an irritated customer was terrible; condescending , confrontational,and suspicious.. All future purchases of this kind will be made elsewhere.. This is our new Fred Meyer Store. Been here before but now i'm a regular. Not your average Fred's. Close but not really. I find they have what looks like everything but when you need it to be a little more... Nope. I.E... I need to make Gumbo. You need Okra or it's just ... Not Gumbo. Do they carry Fresh Okra? Nope. (Ya, I know. Fresh Okra is really asking a lot. For this part of America.) ( There are parts of America where Okra grows like weeds.) Frozen Okra? Nope. Gumbo File Powder? Nope. I could go on bagging on Freddy but I won't. They do have an awesome grocery selection for the most part! They have a decent wine selection but i'm still gonna have to speak with someone in charge. Sometimes I take Fred Meyer for granted. I've been a regular shopper at the Tualatin location for well over a decade, but this location took me by surprise. So large, it almost took my breath away. It makes Tualatin look downright quaint by comparison. One stop shopping is a great concept and I have several out of state family and friends who always want to visit Fred Meyer when they're in town. So where do you take tourists? Maybe Fred Meyer should join Voodoo Doughnuts and the Rose Garden as a 'destination.' Almost every department, from clothing to housewares, toys to pets, was larger than my local store. I was pleasantly surprised to see a large variety of Under Armour gear in the athletic apparel section. Sadly, not on sale, but at Fred Meyer everything is eventually. The one thing that was smaller here? The checkout counter. There were only four self checkout kiosks, so score one for Tualatin. So, per usual, I got everything on my list, but I almost had to send out a search crew for my kids. They were happily lost in the toy section. read more

This review is about the pharmacy. Don't even bother trying to call in. Waste your gas and time going back and forth between home, because you'll get answers faster taking a 1 hour bus ride one way than you will trying to get through their phone line. They pick up the phone for a split second to put you on hold which transfers you to customer service INSTEAD OF JUST ANSWERING THE PHONE! This has been an ongoing problem for me and I'm sure for other people trying to get their meds refilled in an emergency, sorting through insurances, and dealing with prior authorizations. The refill text messaging system also only works 25% of the time. read more

I will never buy my prescriptions from Fred Meyer pharmacy again. To justify this decision let me tell you a little about myself. I have severe depression, PTSD as well as suicidal tendencies so I must take antidepressants to keep my head clear. The pharmacy team is aware of my condition and I always got my refills from their since I work at Fred Meyer Clackamas. I was running low on meds so I ordered a refill. Normally it may take 24 hours, but I had to wait almost 3 days and by the time my order was finally ready I was out of medications for over 1 day and I was going through bad symptoms. I mentioned my situation to the technician only to be ignored and to add insult to injury she tried to charge me nearly $75 for a $20 prescription. The manager had to briefly step in and straiten out her mistake. The entire transaction took 15 minutes. Because of their mistake I could have ended it all, but no one their cared. read more

I forgot how much I don't like this location. Can't get down the aisles that are congested with employees filling the online orders. Bare shelves. Poor selection for the size that it is. I decided 10 min into my shopping I was going to buy what I had then go to a different location. But then I got to the checkout and I don't think I've ever had that poor of customer service at Fred Meyers. No greeting from Vicki, no asking if I found everything etc., I had to repack the bag because the egg carton was spilling out and heave items were on fragile items, never told me my total, never thanked me for shopping. The second day of masks being required in public...I take my 80 year old grandmother to the store, both of us wearing masks. A customer walks past us not wearing a mask, my grandmother says to the woman at the door "he's not wearing a mask" the FM employee who is supposed to be manning the door says "all I can do is tell them. If they won't wear one they won't wear one" UMMMM NO! This FM is failing to enforce the mask order. This will be reported to corporate and to OSHA. read more

I purchased a pack of beef short ribs and was shocked to find a dead fly in it. When I called the store and told the manager, he told me to bring the package in to the store for a replacement. The manager offered no apology for the frankly disgusting and inconvenient experience. If he was just a store clerk I wouldn't have made a big deal, but this was a manager I was speaking with. I wasn't looking for free handouts or extra compensation, I just want to hear some concern regarding what happened. How much training must this company give in customer service if the manager isn't able to offer the bare minimum?! read more

I've been shopping at this particular Fred Meyer since moving to Clackamas about 5 months ago. Employees So far I've liked every employee I've encountered here. They seem to be knowledgeable and very likable. What I like the most: Unlike other stores like Safeway and Walmart, they always seem to have enough cashiers on hand to get you out the door. I don't think I've ever waited in line more than a minute or two. They also have pretty good people that take care of the self-checkout area. What I like the least: The deli area tends to be understaffed so wait times tend to be long during the busier times of day. You also tend to lose your place when waiting for service because the employees can't keep track of who's next. All in all, I like the store and do the majority of my shopping there. Their shelves are usually well stocked. The produce is a little more expensive then the competition but tends to be fresher and higher quality. I like it. read more

Read before u judge the words individually, just a normal remodeled store with all the hip features needed to acquire all walks of life in Oregon, I never until now have tired there deli food. The 8 piece baked chicken has flavor of the BBQ my uncle's make under the sun on a park bbq pit w/ briquettes. I have not tasted flavor from a deli like this before. Fred Meyer has won me over and my five-year-old who's the critic of all chicken flavors and food loves her chicken thighs and legs. My daughter will eat a salad before she eats ice cream she's just a lover of good food. I wasn't quite sure if she was going to enjoy this, I forgot to take something out for dinner and it was a last minute trip but turned out to be a good dinner. read more

This hyper market is an upmarket version of Walmart similar to Target, but even higher quality than Target as well. I was reminded why I use my local Safeway when grocery shopping today. 8:30 Saturday January 12th. After this recent remodel I cannot easily locate anything that I need... its all so spread apart! Not an efficient use of space at all. Went to look for a loaf of bread so headed towards the bakery but there was no sliced bread anywhere. It turns out it was on isle 19! Literally 100 yards away from the "bread section". There was some plastic bottled soda on display by the main door and it supposedly had a digital coupon to get a 6 pack for a low price if I text a number and get a link for the coupon. I love using digital coupons so I text the code and went to the link to find a dead end. It said "not currently available" its a "one day only" sale and I verify its today... it doesn't work. So I head over to get some cold soda and the shelves were completely empty or disheveled with bottles laying on their side in the cooler. Doesn't the night team put your store back together? Headed towards check out and try to use the self checkout lane only to find it is not open?!?... and the only 2 lanes that are have a line 4 carts deep at each. So lame! read more

This is only for the grocery department and the gentleman at the check out deserves 5 stars. But let me back up a bit first. I have shopped off and on at this location for a good 10 years. Generally I don't favor it because it's an older store and the one closer to my house is a lot more user friendly plus it has been remodeled so for me it's also snazzier. i needed a bunch of things 'cause I'm making a soup that requires prawns, leeks, fennel and other goodies. The woman behind the counter in the seafood department was perplexed when I asked for 1 pound of prawns. She asked me, "Are prawns shrimp?" I'm thinking you work in the seafood department shouldn't you know that prawns are them bigger sized shrimps. Odd. Hard to believe you can sell seafood if you don't know what they are exactly. Okay. Then I head over to produce. Easy as pie. They have a weird layout - all the organics and single serving items are to the far end. The sign said "Anise". The produce was fennel. I stood there like a dolt and had to ask the employee. He assured me it was fennel. Then why did they post Anise? I know - it's the same. But seriously if you didn't know that you wouldn't know they even had any. So while I'm standing there someone is helping a disabled gentleman with his groceries. I asked her if she knew where they kept the stock . . . .(She rolled her eyes and sighed at me) and she clearly didn't know where the stock was kept 'cause her directions let me to the soap isle. Wow. Three individuals with very distinct abilities clearly not suited for a grocery store. The checker dude saw me perplexed to finding a line that wasn't bogged down with issues, ushered me over and saved the day. That guy should be a manager. Then perhaps he might hire some more suitable employees who won't try the patience of the customers. read more

I love the remodel and had liked being able shop online when I'm busy. But I'm so disappointed that I was given rotten produce. I'm not talking about wilted lettuce. The celery that I was given literally looked like they had taken it out of the trash. There were several stalks that were rotted and slimy. I know that wasn't on their shelves. Then the next day then I went to cook the sweet potatoes I found the same thing, half rotten and slimy. And did I mention that these items were for my Thanksgiving dinner? I'll definitely never use their CheckList service again and would probably only shop there on the rare occasion that I need something that my other neighborhood store doesn't carry. read more

I like Freddy's, but this has happened twice. At the checkout, after all items rung up, I noticed I did not get a discount on a deli item. Once I mentioned it, the checker completed my transaction. So, I was directed to the Service Desk for credit. Of course the line of customers for that was long. I told myself the heck with it and left.
