If I could give it more stars, I would. My experience at Fred Meyer jewelers in Tualatin was not only totally delightfulbut so rewarding. The saleperson I dealt with primarily was Edwaro and his professionalism and expertise and design ability was amazing. I watched as he helped another customer and thought to myself the person I want to work with.He spent a considerable amount of time showing me different options regarding a piece of jewelry handed down from a family member and the finished product is totally awesome. I would recommend that store and any of his other team members to anyone looking to purchase jewelry whether it's something redone repaired or Something you just can't live without. The entire store and people I met there were friendly and very accommodating. I would hope this email reaches management and I hope it relays a message of complete satisfaction on my part. I was looking for a tanzanite ring. A little backstory, I got one as a gift from an expensive jewelry store in the mall. Two separate rings from that store (they replaced it twice) had the prongs fail. I happened to be at Fred Meyer in Tualatin and took a chance and looked at their rings since I've liked other jewelry from them in the past. I found an absolutely beautiful ring and I could tell the prongs on this one were sturdy and I wouldn't be afraid to wear it. The sales woman was Jennifer and she let me know about the sale price (30% off!) which made it so I could afford the lifetime warranty. She was great! Also, they had the ring sized for me in only a day. At the other jewelry store, it took a week for them to get it back to me. Next time, I will come to Fred Meyer Jewelers first! :) read more

My boyfriend proposed to me last week and it was amazing and perfect and the ring was absolutely gorgeous. After the proposal I got to hear about his ring shopping experience. He said he was helped by Shavonne/Siobhan (I know I probably spelled that entirely wrong) and she showed him ideas of what HE had in mind, didn't push $10,000 rings on him, made him feel welcome and important, and he said it was the greatest customer service he's ever received. He wanted to introduce me to her as well, and when I got my ring sized, I went in by myself and was lucky enough that she was working that day and she was AMAZING. The most adorable woman ever. She remembered my boyfriend, told a cute story about him lighting up when he saw "the ring". She seemed so excited About our engagement, it really made her a big part of it. I hope she reads this! I have had several negative interactions at this particular location. My fiancé bought an unconventional engagement ring, and when I came in to look at bands I was treated poorly. Not only did the older female employee hardly invest the energy to find a band that would work with my ring (which was purchased AT THIS LOCATION), she also mentioned that she usually encourages men to buy more traditional engagement rings to avoid my, "problem." I left feeling embarrassed and stupid. We will DEFINITELY be purchasing our bands elsewhere to avoid snobby, stuck up sales associates. read more

Bunch of crooks. If you do buy from here dont get the lifetime insurance they won't honor it. I bought me wife her ring here 7 years ago, each year they try to get out of it or try charging for things covered by the insurance. This last time they actually damaged the ring and now are trying to charge my wife $200 more than I originally paid for it, and if she doesn't pay to get the repairs they will stop honoring the insurance. Getting a lawyer on this if their corporate office doesn't fix it. read more

I need to share my experience with Fred Meyer Jewelers in hopes to prevent anyone else from going through the head and heartache that I am currently feeling. I am still without my wedding set and I have yet to hear back from the company if they have found it or not. I went in originally to trade in my original ring during one of their "Sales" because my ring had a cracked baguette and I had already replaced it at least once during that rings lifetime. I was assisted by the Tualatin store manager and she helped me pick out a ring that I thought at the time was going to be perfect. I handed over my original ring with all the sentimental value and memories that went with it along all the paperwork for it including my warranty that I purchased separately at Fred Meyer Jewelers. The manager told me that I would be wearing my new ring by Wednesday of the next week (I purchased it on a Friday) the manager also told me that I could hold off on having it appraised for a while so that I could get a little wear time in before I had to send it off again. The manger did not honor that request and sent it off to be appraised right after setting and sizing my new ring and diamond. I called when the promised date of pick up came and went and was told of it going to the appraiser. I was not happy about that and it look another two weeks before I even got the ring. Due to how long it took to get the work done on the ring and the fact that they sent it out without my knowledge for appraisal the manager of the store did hand deliver it to my house, in an apparent effort to smooth over customer relations. When I looked at my ring for the 1st time I was immediately disappointed, I had purchased a princess cut diamond and it was so off centered on the bridge ring that the diamond almost looked like it was kite set. The diamond was not only crooked but way more to one side of the center of my ring than the other. I who am no diamond or jewelry expert but I could see with my naked eye that this was not right. The work was clearly rushed and how it passed the quality control for Fred Meyer Jewelers I do not know. I wore the ring for a couple of days out of desperation of not having one for so long. I did take it back but this time I went to the Fred Meyer Jewelers in the Washington Square Mall because I was so done dealing what the staff at the Tualatin location. I explained my concerns to the jewelers at that location and was assured that they would make it right. I picked up the ring from the Washington Square location and still was not happy the work, again it looked rushed and I could still see the solder marks on the ring from where they did the drilling. The head looked like they had not polished it I could see what I thought was the gold showing through the rhodium plating. Due to some tragic and unforeseen life events I was not able to bring the ring in for a 3rd time until the 60 days return policy was up, I decided to take the ring to a different non Fred Meyer jeweler to get their opinion about the ring and the work. When the ring came back from the outside jeweler the results were alarming, Fred Meyer Jeweler's had replaced the head of my ring with one made out of Nickel. I have included in this review the note from the jeweler detailing all that was wrong with the ring. I felt so taken advantage of having them put nickel in my ring when I paid of gold is fraud. After hearing those results I called Fred Meyer Jeweler and requested to speak to the Regional Sales Director hoping that they would help make this disaster right and to also inform them that they are doing work on 14k gold rings with nickel. The Regional director listened to my situation and set an appointment to meet with me later in the week. During our meeting he listened to my concerns and said that he would have a custom ring made for me by a non-Fred Meyer Jeweler, to me that feels like he does not have confidence in his own company that was his solution to "make it right." I did not want to go through all this over again just to get a "custom ring" I told him that I wanted to return everything and get my original ring back. He said that we only hold on to trade ins for 90 days and that he did not know if they still had it and that he would look for it and get back to me. I returned the new problem ring along with all the paperwork to Fred Meyer, I was told that they do not have my original ring any longer and they would be refunding me the money that I paid for new ring and offered me a $200.00 gift card as consolation of my lost original wedding ring. To quote the Regional Sales Director "That is the highest we have ever given to any customer and that is us making it right to you" I cannot believe that Fred Meyer Jewelers would think that a $200.00 gift card would make up for my $3000.00 original ring?! Not including all the sentimental value of it. I hope that no one ever has to be left without any ring at all the way that I have been. read more
