Fred and his installers put in new LVP into my bedroom. The flooring matched my living room, so I needed it "weaved in" so that the planks flowed from one room to another (without a noticeable break/threshold). I was in touch with a few other installers whom said this was very difficult, but Fred managed to get it done no problem. He guided me through what materials I'd need (i.e. baseboards, quarter round, etc.) which was a value in and of itself. The installation was fast and clean as the installers made sure to tape off other areas of the house. Price is fair / on par IMO with what other services charge. I explained that we removed carpet from our stairs but had enough remnants from when the carpet was installed over 20 years ago to do all 18 stairs. Great experience re-carpeting two full floors! Fred came over the same day I called to do an in person estimate. He brought some carpet samples and ordered additional ones for us to choose from. He put in extra effort to make sure we got the same dye lot for the entire job. His installation team was very respectful of our furniture and most importantly, our 4 cats. They treated the subfloor of one room that had heavy staining. The final product was beautiful - The whole house feels different! What can I say. These guys are great. As you have no doubt found, there are plenty of people who are happy to install carpet that you buy from them, but few who will do carpet that you already own. Fred will do either. I called Fred on Monday, he was happy to take do it, and his installer Jose Rivas was here Thursday to do the job. Just two rooms, including closets, but it took a lot of creativity as our remodeling changed the configuration just enough that nothing fit anymore. Took a good bit of cutting and patching, but in the end it was beautiful. Can't even see the seams. We're very happy, both with the work and with the price. BTW, if you're thinking about getting a kicker and installing it yourself, don't! It's far more complex than you think and you'll just end up calling Fred to do the job right. It was a pleasure to meet Fred, he came over to give us an estimated on carpeting one area of our house. He is a friendly, approachable guy and knows what he's talking about. He explained the options to me clearly and gave his recommendation--which wasn't the most expensive but the one best suited to our project.
