Olde Irish Proverb "you aren drinking all day unless you start before lunch. Hondos is so inclined. I'm a fan of live acoustic music and there's plenty of that here today. Tones of Jonny Cash, John Melancamp and such like. Very nice- the crowd is clapping between songs. Update: Pan Galactic Gargle Blaster is considered by the Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy to be the "best drink in existence". While almost impossible to make on planet Earth, its effects really are similar to "having your brains smashed in by a slice of lemon wrapped round a large gold brick."

Then YOU have to go pick up your food order when it is ready. What's the point in having wait staff and asking for tips when I am doing all the damn work. Extremely Inefficient. This process may have worked 40 years ago but it's super inefficient for today's audience. Shame. Adding to the review that our order was to-go and when we got to our hotel room...NO plastic ware (even though Mac and cheese was part of the order). Who TF can eat brisket Mac and cheese without a fork or spoon. Nothing was added to the bag they gave us. We will never go back. Hope the flavor was at least worth the hassle this time.

First time at Vaudeville. We were walking by and saw that the daily special was Buttermilk Fried…read moreChicken, we are always looking for good fried bone-in fried chicken, so we went downstairs to give it a try. Vibe is euro-bistro and the staff is perfectly attentive. Prices are high, but honestly aligned to the quality of the food, at least the dishes we had were worth the prices. Food: Buttermilk Fried Chicken, with Onion/Bacon flash fried collard greens, whipped potatoes and house gravy and Jalapeno Cornbread for $32 Reuben on Marble Rye for $24 16oz Stella Artois for $10 We agreed that the fried chicken (5/5) was the best we could remember having. Whipped potatoes (5/5) were light, fluffy and perfect taste/texture. The gravy was like brown butter (5/5). The collard greens (5/5) were flash fried and if you've never had them like this, it's like eating collard green potato chips. Cornbread (3/4) was a bit too delicate and sweet for our taste. You couldn't pick it up without it falling apart. The Ruben (3/5). My wife loves a good Ruben sandwich. This one had the makings of a good one, but they use a Thousand Island sauce (too much of it) on the sandwich, and it hides the flavor of the meat. Next time we would ask for the sandwich without the TI sauce, see if that improves the rating. The sandwich came with house made potato chips (5/5), a small house salad with vinaigrette (5/5) and a large, pickled cucumber. I know, that's a pickle, but these are cucumbers that have gone maybe a third of the way through the process, so the cucumber taste is really prevalent. Lastly, we had the Creme Brulé (3/5) for dessert. It was nice, but the custard was coffee and caramel flavored, and we prefer the standard custard look and flavor. The caramel should come from the top layer, not the custard. The top layer was a bit too thick as well. We liked it, just didn't love it. Overall, quality food, service and vibe with prices that are aligned to more special occasions than everyday eating out. We'll be back to try the Monday Crawfish Etoufee and the Tuesday Duck Confit daily specials...look too good to pass up.

I highly recommend making a reservation vs just showing up. There was indoor and outdoor seating. It was hot so sitting inside was perfect. Our waitress was nice and knowledgeable about the wine. We enjoyed the wine and chocolates. We also visited Joanna's market which is on the property that has snacks and other food. We bought a bag of Torres truffle chips and were obsessed! I would definitely come back to this winery,

The staff was not personable and seemed rushed and intent on pouring anything just to move you along, no time to actually discuss the wine pour at all. It felt lazy. Only dry wines here and not very good ones at that. Full of wannabe online influencers making videos and taking selfies. We felt very misled coming here, it's more about the photo ops than anything. We did not stay long and will not be back. Gorgeous grounds, but lacking in everything else. No thank you.
