Had my first Fred's on a whim this past weekend. It's quite out of the way for me, but I wanted to go on a little drive and try a new place. The drive (about a half hour) was worth it. The small pizza I ordered was delicious with the sweet sauce and cup and char pepperoni. The wings were great (though I would get them extra crispy and saucy next time, personal preference), and my partner's turkey club was also delicious. I have to admit that I felt a little embarrassed at how much I ate at one sitting - it was that good. I got to meet Fred the owner and he was cool guy! I first heard about Fred's when I was working at another job and I tried their wings and the wings were barbecue honey parmesan and they are beyond delicious so now that I'm no longer working at that job every once in awhile when I'm craving wings I will take the 40 minute ride just to get those wings they have been good every time and the staff is also excellent great customer service and the last time I was there they were also selling different types of popcorn so I bought some caramel popcorn and that was also a great snack I highly recommend this place for some delicious wings, I changed phones and I will post a picture of the wings as soon as I find them, I would drive 100 miles to get these wings read more

We recently moved to Amherst and are close to Pendleton. Fred's is by far my new favorite pizza place. Their sweet sauce is absolutely amazing. I don't know what they do to their crust but it's crunchy outside and soft inside is everything I live for. Their wings are good boneless or regular. Their prices are extremely reasonable. Must have driven past this place dozens of times over the years going to and from my sons baseball tournaments but never thought of stopping. Yesterday we were training and wanted to grab a quick lunch so we decided to give it a try. My buddy had some kind of chicken sub (forgive me I don't know exactly which one) and I had the Turkey club sub. He really enjoyed his and said it was really good and my turkey sub was awesome, one of the best I've had without a doubt! The turkey seemed to have been freshly cut and layered right on the roll from the slicer. And the roll, the roll can make or break a good sub and in this case the roll made it! It was a super fresh Costanzo's roll lightly toasted giving it a little crunch. Ordered two kinds of pizza, two kinds of wings, salad and the sampler platter. Really liked the honey barbecue wings and the sampler platter was as good as any standard fried food. The medium wings had a good flavor and were made just right. I wasn't a fan of the pizza but I've been told that "it's an acquired taste". My four stars are for the subs. I'd give the pizza a 1 star. Let's start with the pie. They have a solid base in the crust, but the sauce is not seasoned right and the toppings are cheap. The pepperoni is rubber like. The sweet sauce is worse. If you're looking for a good sweet sauce there are other pizzerias doing a much better job. Not all is lost tho! I tried the subs during a later visit with a couple friends and each were fantastic. The first was the turkey, another was an assorted and the last was a salami. Each person couldn't get over how delicious they were. I'll definitely return to try the wings and most likely a warm sub. Pizza, tho, is a no go. read more

I especially love their sweet sauce (not the default.. you have to order it specifically). Cheese is generous and melted to perfection and prices are very fair. I used to love Fred's pizza, but it's gone downhill the last couple of years. The only time I order from here is when friends return to the area and they want some nostalgia from our old pizza hangout. The wings are okay here, but sometimes they're skimpy on the sauce, The pizza's meh and I've had more than a couple of burnt pies here. My orders have also been mixed up. The parking lot is small and can be difficult to get out of. I stopped ordering subs here because if you order it toasted you get it burnt, so if I want a quick sub I just go to Kenyon's across the way. The staff's friendly, wait time isn't long, but the pizza's just okay with inconsistent quality. read more

I used to love Fred's. The sweet sauce is unique but on the last 2 orders from there one we received half burnt pizza and on another occasion I ordered a cheeseburger sub (usually absolutely delicious) and there was only meat on one half of the sub. Nothing more disappointing than expecting cheesy goodness and getting tomatoes,lettuce, and bread. Our pizza was over priced for a 8 piece pie. 6 of us ordered and they never said, " are you sure you want that size for your party ? " There was 8 small pieces in their large pizza that was $20. Cheese and pepperoni with sweet sauce is incredibly delicious. I live 10 miles a way but happily drive to pick up a pizza. They also have a greatly priced $4.75 lunch special of 2 slices of C+P and a pepsi. Monday is the day they have discounts. A large pizza is only $11-12. read more
