I heard her minutes later tell another woman, "All I can do is apologize" as if she's said it a million times, with zero sincerity, making me think she said something rude to that woman as well. Alas, 20 minutes later, the fitting room was still not open. In addition to that, nothing seems to be organized in a thoughtful way. Where you expect things to be, they're not there. When I've ordered online and gone to pick things up, it's an easy process so long as there's actually someone at the counter to get your stuff. The people at the registers are usually always nice.

As of Feb 2026, if you want to do walk-in it's only store credit that's offered. This is located really close to VCU so you're able to find a lot of trendy and art school inspired pieces. As a midsize, borderline plus size girl, it was really easy to find clothes that actually fit. The dressing rooms were convenient, the selection is good quality and I love the brands they have, the pricing really isn't that bad. It's a curated selection of what's fashionable without breaking the bank. I'm glad there's one in Richmond, I'm glad there's one in Virginia Beach! We browsed around & a young lady came and slammed a pair of jeans in front of me on the rack. She did say "excuse me" while doing so, but the attitude was very clear. Not sure why people get so upset when they are still open. At that point, I knew I wasn't purchasing anything from that store. I had to get my son out of there, but he was still excited at some of the things he was finding. He's a teen - He doesn't pay attention to bad attitudes or poor customer service the way I do. So, he was unfazed. The longer we stayed, the more irritated that young lady looked. I walked out because he was taking too long browsing & I could feel myself getting upset by her behavior. They brought in the racks from outside & the young man did finally say "hello" to me as I was walking out. Weird! Even if he was ready for everyone to leave, he didn't show it as rudely as the young lady did. Instead of being called "Uptown Cheapskate", they should rebrand as "Uppidy, Stuck Up & Rude Cheapskate". That fits them more accurately. I went into Jezebel's with my friend and I found a purse for sale for $4. I thought "what a great…read moredeal!" and since it was marked in yellow, I figured it was a markdown. I went to the register with my purchase and the owner said that $4 was not the correct price. I told her that is what is marked and that she should sell it for the amount listed. She said it might have been the amount that she purchased it for, but that in no way was the correct price and she would sell it to me for $24. She basically just said I could buy it for a 600% markup! This says a lot about her markup on prices in the items in her store. I said it was unethical for her not to sell it to me for $4. She got mad, said I could buy it for $4 if I really wanted to rob her, and I said I would purchase it. She then said "NO! - I would rather throw it in the trash then sell it to you!". I started to walk out, told her I was going to go on Yelp and give my review of her "service", which is what I am doing. I have never given a review on anyone else before, but this woman was completely rude and should not be in business with a terrible and unprofessional attitude like hers.
