I've been a regular visitor to Free Play since they opened and cannot say anything negative about this place. It rocks. It has everything! Old school games along with a good selection of rotating pinball machines. Great bar selections and service. The price point is excellent, you get all the game time you want plus access to the cool rooftop area. Free Place is a great post dinner spot or a rainy day hangout.

Great place to hang out! A flat entry fee gets you access to a huge room of various video games and pinball machines from multiple eras.

This place rise fun to take the kids and fun to go with other adults. I am an 80s kid so they have all the games we used to play back in the day. It also has pinball machines (a lot of them!) which my husband loves. Area 51 is a favorite and even tho i have the most recent Mario cart the one they have is super fun.

Tons of retro games and pinball. They have a bar with a great selection. Tons of beers on tap. The parking isn't the best on a Saturday morning but we were able to find a spot on the street around the corner. We arrived a little after opening on Saturday and played for about an hour with less than 15 people in the whole arcade. They have about 12 pinball machines some older games like Pirates of The Caribbean, Terminator, and Black Night 2000. Newer games: Guardians of the Galaxy, Ninja Turtles, Avengers, Star Trek, Star Wars and Mandalorian.

Stopped by this spot after leaving the Bass Performance Hall. In semi-formal attire with some Vans This was such a good surprise pop-in. While looking for parking, I kept seeing people walk in there so I was sure there would be a nice crown inside Plenty of game options. I had a blast from the past with Tetris, Mortal Combat; and PacMan. I even played some games I've never heard of. The also offer drinks and bites; which I didn't partake in. For a $12 cover you get a wristband for free play all day. Definitely recommend for a fun date

Video game selection is good. Lots of beer on tap options that we sampled several. I would only suggest they have more seating in the dining area for people that want to take a break for a snack but continue gaming after.

Finally!! A Ft Worth Location. I've been here a few times now, but both times on weird days where it was not too busy on the inside. Once on Xmas Eve and again on the day after Xmas 2019. This place just opened about a month ago and it is the best thing to hit FW. Located in the Magnolia area, there are plenty of bars and restaurants in the area, so that means you may have to drive around sometimes to find parking but note there is the Magnolia Green parking garage across the street which is free and has ample parking. Once you get here, you walk into a small room and pay your admission ($11 or $6 for early bird special) get a wristband and you are in to play all you can play to your heart's content. They have a full bar setup in the first room which has some of the older games and tables. The second room is where most of the games are located and they have a range from old school to new school games. Everything I played was in working order however if anything does break, make sure you notify staff so they can make sure to fix it. The beer selection is pretty good, they have a good range of options and fair prices. They also have an outdoor patio as well as a rooftop patio. They bar upstairs was not in use, however I assume they'll use it when the weather is nicer or they're busier. Rooftop is lit with strung lights and has a great view of downtown Ft Worth. One of my favorites in FW and so glad they've opened in this location.

Everything this Gen Xer needed in a relaxing and "take me back" afternoon. A full bar with great original choices at a great price. After lunch we wanted dessert so we asked for a chocolate martini and the bartender was happy to create it for us. The food was fabulous too. I had a chicken tikka pizza and it was a great fusion of flavors. Then...it was off to the arcade where we spent some care free time enjoying retro arcade games and pinball. The music in the background was the icing on the cake! It is worth every penny of the $12 to get in and the food and drinks are reasonably priced. Great way to spend a couple hours any time of the day!!!

It's $15 per person for the arcade games, pool tables, and air hockey. They also have a token area where you can win tickets for prizes. The token area was kinda small, but the games there make it easy to win tickets if you are wanting a prize. They do not allow outside food or drink, but they had many drink options to choose from as well as some snacks to enjoy to keep you fueled between games. We grabbed a few lanes to bowl with family and friends for my son's 5th birthday party. I stopped by the day before to reserve lanes and confirm that bringing balloons and cookies was okay, and the whole process of reserving and paying was super easy. When we arrived Saturday morning, everything was already set up and ready for us to get started. The staff stayed on top of our drinks and orders the entire time, and everyone had an amazing time. Highly recommend!

We are a party of seven and planned to order quite a bit of food and drinks while we bowled. However, our lane kept fouling every single person who bowled. We found someone and asked for assistance and were told someone would come help. Thirty minutes later, no one had come -- not to fix the lane and not to take our food order. A very kind gentleman happened to walk by, and we stopped him to explain the issue. He immediately called it in and asked for the foul line to be turned off. We also asked how we were supposed to order food, and he told us a waitress would come to our table. As he started to walk away, he turned back around and offered to take our order himself and write it down for the waitress -- which we genuinely appreciated. We asked about substituting the brussels sprouts on a platter due to an allergy in our party. He radioed to confirm and was told it was fine, so we placed the rest of our fairly large order. A few minutes later, a young woman came over and said they do not do substitutions like that. We explained that we had asked for approval before ordering and that the gentleman had radioed to confirm. She said "oh, okay" and walked off. Shortly after, a blonde woman came over and identified herself as the manager. She said she was told we claimed to have spoken to a manager. Her tone felt very accusatory, repeatedly asking, "Who did you talk to?" We had to physically look around and point out the person who helped us. She then informed us he's "not even a waiter, he's a party host," as if that somehow invalidated the help he gave us. Ironically, he was the only person who was proactive and helpful the entire time. And here's the biggest issue -- no one ever fixed the lane. Even after all the conversations, it continued to foul every player for the duration of our time. Manager or not, if an issue is brought to your attention and it never gets resolved, that's a serious breakdown in management. With reservations and a group of seven ready to spend money, we expected better organization, communication, and service. This was easily the worst experience we've had here. The only bright spot of the night was the party host who actually stepped up when no one else did.

I enjoy a good fair. So u really wanted to write a good review. Despite all, there were moments that were enjoyable, but not because of anything Talley did to make for a positive experience. Mostly because they have a few good employees that understand families and just happen to be employed by this company. Bless their hearts. After being ushered on and off rides like livestock (and without instruction) we decided to give in and play some games. Got suckered into paying 3 rounds of popping balloons at 10 bucks each just to walk away with the crappiest little prize possible. Then a woman seen that we were dis pleased and asked us to give her game a chance, she said maybe she could change our mind about it being a total waste. I gave her the opportunity to prove me wrong. . . The outcome, she proved that this place IS INDEED a HUGE rip off, but that a great personality goes a long way. I would come back and play this girls game again and again, not because it was cheap or easy, but because it was enjoyable. That wasn't the fair, it was the person. When giving her game the chance to make up for a horrible experience, she said "she promised" it would be fun. That's a bold statement to an already aggravated customer. So she sold me on that promise. She then proceeded to talk me into every member of our party having to participate. (6 people at $6 each) Don't ask me how, but I was easily convinced. She even got my teenage daughter who dreaded being with us there in the 1st place to get into the game. Got the kids riled up in a competitive yet playful manner, and when we were ready she rang the bell and the race was on. Now, there is only a single winner every race. I had 3 kids with me that day. You better believe we played that game 3 times so they can each win whatever prize they wanted. The quality of the prizes at the higher level is much better than the original 30 bucks spent. All and all I spent over 100 bucks at that game alone, and if she would have accepted it, I would have tipped her well too. She single handedly turned what I saw as an expensive and horrible experience, into one of the coolest family moments we have had since the kids became tweens and teens. That is priceless. My point here is, this company sucks. The prices are ridiculous, and the food is mediocre at best... But one good soul can take the focus away from that and put in to perspective the reason we came in the first place... To make that joyous memory, one our kids will look back on when they bring their children to the carnival. What ever they are paying this employee, it should be doubled and then doubled again. Because without her, this fair is shit! Hope this is helpful, and shout out and thanks to the "monkey race" girl at the Jungle Chase and her sweet daughter at the water guns (We should have gotten their names but the gravity of the experience didn't fully settle until we were on our way home).
