I go to the Austin locations with coworkers regularly and get good food and good service. The Cedar Park Freebirds is terrible in comparison. Super unfriendly employee, cold food, slow service as the one guy actually working was making online orders and the other 2 guys were doing nothing back in the kitchen area. Once he finally made the delivery orders he made my food slowly and poorly. Sadly, none of the 3 guys working seemed professional, attentive, or really caring at all about the job. Decent Americanized burrito/burrito bowl place. It's another of the Chipotle type of place. It's really hit&miss depends on the day you go. Today, they did not have any utensils out. The place seems under stocked, unprepared. We had to ask for our utensils so we can use for our burrito bowl. Most people who ordered were for to-go. The slowest Freebirds ever! This place is incredibly slow and unorganized. We waited half an hour just to place our order, with only five people ahead of us. They are clearly understaffed, as the order takers are juggling multiple tasks--preparing food, working the register, handling online orders, and coordinating with Uber Eats and DoorDash personnel. Walked in about 11:45 today and was the fourth or fifth in line. one man doing the line, one young lady doing all to go and one man cooking. The phone rang off the hook. All this chaos but that team killed it. I think most people would have been annoyed that it was taking too long or they were short staffed but I was so impressed with the girl hustling on to go orders non stop. And the man on the line had a smile and was so polite the entire time. I let him know and he just said "thank you, that meant a lot". This is honestly so disappointing since I love freebirds. If you want your order on time, do not come to this location. I had to wait an extra 25 minutes for my food, only 2 people were ahead of me in the mobile line and one person ordering in the main store. Just really confusing how there were so many staff members available yet the wait time was extremely long but not busy. The quality of the food at Freebirds has plummeted since they went corporate. The staff is lazy and always feel like you are bothering them as they do their jobs. Ive been a fan since my days in Aggieland, when there were only two locations, but the heart and soul are gone. The only thing this corporate trash has in common with the original was the name and the branding. The past 3 trips Ive made to this location have been consistently crappy. Freebirds used to be a better option than Chipotle, but that is definitely no longer the case. If you have the option save yourself the disappointment and go to Chipotle. She was ready to wrap up my order without any sauce. I requested another sauce on the side. The quantity they gave was!!!! Well look at the picture attached. It looks like some Joke. When I asked for guac, I was told is at an additional price. When I told her that it comes free as I saw on the app-she wasn't interested in confirming it. The good: Nice location, trendy decor, good service. The bad: This might possibly be a fluke but we ordered two flame grilled steak burritos at a Freebird size. Plenty of toppings, got avocado as well. However when we started eating them we noticed the steak was completely bland. As in zero seasoning. I even pulled out a piece to make sure and it was bland as bland can be. I'll chalk this up to a messup, but we weren't able to finish them as something seemed off and it didnt seem worth the calories. The employees are constantly cleaning the tables, wiping countertops, and replenishing things that are needed to be. The ingredients are always fresh and the steak is marinated and cooked perfectly.
