Dos Salsas is an old reliable place to get decent Tex mex and good drinks. We got the chicken quesadillas, queso, and ceviche. The ceviche is always good and even better when it's on the happy hour menu.

Quick and efficient service! We were seated immediately, chips and salsa came to the table almost before we were seated. Staff continuously checking to see if we needed refills or anything else. Outstanding service I ordered the beef taco plate and they gave me so much beef with the added rice and beans which left me so satisfyingly full! Everything was delicious not one complaint. The atmosphere was nice and the restaurant was very clean. I need to come here more often! Wonderful experience!

my go to in cedar park! came to grab dinner with my mom before we leave separate ways for the holidays so our dinner was a mini thanksgiving catchup vibe. Of course chicken tortilla soup was a must! Alex, our server was such an absolute gem, angel, superstar! He totally made our experience amazing and i enjoyed chatting with him. Such a great energy! can't wait to come back a see Alex

Upscale Tex-Mex dining with tablecloths snd porcelain plates. Full bar and great party atmosphere. It's very good traditional TexasTex-Mex. The menu features limited American fare, mostly burgers and s very wide assortment of standard ite

My husband ordered their burrito, which came with chips and a cheese dip on the side. Their shrimp was good; nothing special. I did ask to try aleida's sauce, which many people liked on yelp, but we liked their green sauce the most! Overall, very cute and colorful restaurant; loved all the decor. The outdoor patio, where we sat, was covered and nice, until it started pouring hard outside. Not a super authentic latin restaurant. No complimentary chips and salsa. My taco wasn't worth more than $5, tbh, and we paid close to $9..given it was shrimp, but we've had much better shrimp tacos elsewhere for less. I wish I had a photo of my poor taco, but I totally forgot to take a picture :/

The chips are excellent and the queso compuesto rivals the Bob dip at Matt's El Rancho. The refried beans here are above average. The chicken is tender and tasty and their tomatillo sauce is not spicy, which pleases my wife's palate. Queso tastes like velveeta with Kraft singles melted with a handful of chopped tomatoes. Just terrible. The salsa that came out with chips (thin and flavorless) was sweet and almost had a chutney taste. The bean dip was very watery. So unappetizing to eat. Ordered burritos and a salad.. The burritos had the same gross cheese and the ground beef was unflavored. The flour tortillas were thick and hard. The salad was okay. It really wasn't worth coming back for. Table water was gross, lots of floating particles. It states it's Mexican food, but it tastes very whitewashed. Definitely does not have the authentic flavors of true Mexican food. Needs salt at the very least. Do not recommend if you're craving authentic Mexican food.

NOTES: - Reservations: no but you can call ahead to put your name in - Parking: free lot in front of the building - Online ordering: available on their website through ToastTab for pickup for delivery - Happy hour: weekdays from 3:00 to 6:00 pm with half off some food items, $7 Mamaritas and La Playas, and $1 off cocktails, liquor, beer, and wine - Brunch: served Sat & Sun from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm THE HIGHS: - Server was friendly and gave recommendations - Complimentary chips and salsa (refilled throughout the meal) - Food came out quickly after ordering THE LOWS: - Busy around dinner time and kind of loud (great for celebrations but hard to hear each other at the table) - A little dark on the inside THE PRICE: Reasonable for the portion size and quality of food - Small queso compuesto ($9.99) - Barbacoa quesadilla ($16.99) - Barbacoa tacos ($16.99) - Pechuga Barbie ($19.99) - Side of abuelita rice ($2.99) - Sopapillas Aaliyah ($7.99) BEST BITES: - Barbacoa: delicious in both the quesadilla and tacos... super tender and flavorful - Queso compuesto: the meat, homemade quad, and pico are all fresh and add great texture to the melted cheese... perfect appetizer to split with a group THE VERDICT: I'd definitely return to Mama Betty's and recommend it to others! The Tex-Mex dishes felt slightly elevated compared to some other places and I love that they are locally owned and operated. They can be busy but it's worth waiting if you plan ahead and have the time!
