Pechuga Jardin Corona, great potential, badly executed
    Paul D.

An old restaurant in an old strip mall only easily accessible from the northbound lane of Bell Blvd, this is a middle of the road TexMex place we visit every now and again. It has its pluses and minuses. It's well known for its large, consistent margaritas. The chips are light, crisp, and ungreasy, but the salsa is mild and rather bland. Service is reliable and engaged. Our most recent trip there, my companion ordered chicken fajita nachos and those were tasty and ample. I ordered the Pechuga Jardin Corona for a change of pace, a hearty meal with the lightly fried chicken breast stuffed with Monterey Jack cheese, bacon, and mushrooms. Unfortunately, it was plated without draining the fry oil sufficiently and so sat in an unappetizing puddle that did affect the taste. It's not a date place. It's an informal family place you go to when nothing at home appeals. Sometimes it's great, sometimes it disappoints.

When in Texas, you gotta get Tex-Mex, yall!

This is a quick one... Outstanding salsa Crisp light chips Tasty top shelf margarita- I like on the rocks with salt True Tex-Mex enchiladas- both suizas and with red sauce Fast friendly service Must meet Jaime behind the bar

Crispy chicken tacos, no cheese please!

We went to this restaurant for lunch after getting a very good recommendation from our trusted mechanic. I must say, I was impressed. I bought crunchy chicken tacos and they are the best tacos I have gotten in Williamson County so far; They were absolutely scrumptious. The beans and rice were perfect. My husband got steak fajitas and he loved them. We also got guacamole, which was really good. The chips were fresh, thin and hot. The salsa was great! I also got a topo Chico. Upon entering the facility, the greeting was prompt and friendly and we were told we could sit anywhere we wanted to. The restaurant is done in nice warm colors and it's nice and clean and it has beautiful wooden tables. It's generally a nice relaxing place to sit. The service was fantastic. We wanted for nothing. The prices were good! I can honestly say I will visit this restaurant whenever I can -- if I am in Cedar Park! Bravo, Jardin Corona!

Chimichanga Combo - with undercooked chicken. Keep the 12.99 and get something at McDonald's.

Coming to the Cedar Park location thinking it was similar to the Liberty Hill location, IT IS NOT! The menu is the same, but the food was awful. Manager argues how my food came out!! Walked in and it felt cozy because there weren't many tables and booths, there is a backend where there is more seating. Josè greeted myself and friend to a booth and. Let me say, he was the highlight of the experience and he had nothing to do with cooking or serving. I ordered queso with chips...the cheese was thick, like velveta and it tasted like it. My Michelada was meh. I ordered the spinach enchilada combo: 3 enchiladas with jack and queso side or refried beans and rice. It was on the table in less than 10 minutes. It came out covered with the enchiladas and the sides had queso also. Took a bite and it was disappointing. First the smothered in queso, no Jack cheese and spinach that I couldn't even tell the difference. I mentioned to my waitress that I didn't like it and she offered the menu. I decided on the Chimichanga. It arrived 5-let's say 7 minutes to arrive. The chimichanga was hard, when it was described as soft shell. Ha! The worst of it all was that when I cut it, the chicken was pink. And I mean pink, salmon pink! I did not touch it. Our waitress asked how I was and I said I can't eat it. She responded with a "let me tell my manager." The manager came to tell me the chicken was not pink and it's been cooked.--and that it can only be cooked so long that the tortilla/chiminanga won't be hard. She was arguing. I have worked in the food industry and you do Not treat customers in any sort of way. 100000%

Veggies instead of beans or rice - so good!

Jardin Corona is located in the back of a small u-shaped enclave of local businesses. Jardin Corona has been here for many years and is a towny haunt. It's a down-to-earth all around everyday good casual local Mexican place. I have been there many times. The food is consistently tasty! The veggies are great and I get them instead of beans/rice. Pros: The plates are huge and we never leave hungry. The chips and salsa are great. I like going at lunch. Cons: Not fancy or glitzy or trendy. -But that's a pro too! ;)

    Front door.

Love this place. The food is really good and the service is phenomenal. They obviously take pride in this family business and it shows.

The outdoor patio, where we sat, was covered and nice, until it started pouring hard outside. Not a super authentic latin restaurant. No complimentary chips and salsa. The burritos had the same gross cheese and the ground beef was unflavored. The flour tortillas were thick and hard. The salad was okay. It really wasn't worth coming back for. Table water was gross, lots of floating particles. It states it's Mexican food, but it tastes very whitewashed. Definitely does not have the authentic flavors of true Mexican food. I've been coming to Chuy's for 20+ years and I tend to get the same thing but I have a few favorites. I order the chicken flautas with the green chile rice and refried beans. Chuy's refried beans are my favorite. I always start with guacamole and chips and a frozen margarita on the rocks, usually watermelon. I think the fajitas are great and my friends usually order the chuychanga and the chile relleno enchilada combo. For birthdays, the tres leches is definitely a showstopper and worth the calories. If you can squeeze in outside of the regular lunch and dinner hours, you'll find it to be calmer but I've never minded the wait.
