Chimichanga Combo - with undercooked chicken. Keep the 12.99 and get something at McDonald's.

Coming to the Cedar Park location thinking it was similar to the Liberty Hill location, IT IS NOT! The menu is the same, but the food was awful. Manager argues how my food came out!! Walked in and it felt cozy because there weren't many tables and booths, there is a backend where there is more seating. Josè greeted myself and friend to a booth and. Let me say, he was the highlight of the experience and he had nothing to do with cooking or serving. I ordered queso with chips...the cheese was thick, like velveta and it tasted like it. My Michelada was meh. I ordered the spinach enchilada combo: 3 enchiladas with jack and queso side or refried beans and rice. It was on the table in less than 10 minutes. It came out covered with the enchiladas and the sides had queso also. Took a bite and it was disappointing. First the smothered in queso, no Jack cheese and spinach that I couldn't even tell the difference. I mentioned to my waitress that I didn't like it and she offered the menu. I decided on the Chimichanga. It arrived 5-let's say 7 minutes to arrive. The chimichanga was hard, when it was described as soft shell. Ha! The worst of it all was that when I cut it, the chicken was pink. And I mean pink, salmon pink! I did not touch it. Our waitress asked how I was and I said I can't eat it. She responded with a "let me tell my manager." The manager came to tell me the chicken was not pink and it's been cooked.--and that it can only be cooked so long that the tortilla/chiminanga won't be hard. She was arguing. I have worked in the food industry and you do Not treat customers in any sort of way. 100000%

Love this place. The food is really good and the service is phenomenal. They obviously take pride in this family business and it shows.

    Beef and chicken enchilada's.

Stopped in for lunch one day recently and I tried the fajita chicken and steak lunch enchiladas. The rice and beans were on par, it's kind of hard to mess them up, but the beef enchilada tasted like well, it didn't have much taste at all as far as the meat goes. Now the chicken fajita enchilada actually did taste like chicken fajita meat and I really liked it. The service was great our wait person was very friendly and kept checking up on us, and we appreciate that. I'd go back for two fajita chicken enchiladas but would skip the beef next time. Also the chips and dip were plentiful and the salsa was actually pretty good. I saw a table nearby enjoying some margaritas, and made a mental note to come back during what might be a happy hour, and try the margaritas and chips and nachos.

A friend and I stopped on our way from fishing Inks. To be fair, I broke my own rule by not turning around and walking out when I noticed only white people eating there (I'm white for the record). Ordering was a nightmare. Took 10 mins after we sat to get our drink order in, another 10 mins to get it, 10 mins before the waiter came back to take our food order, and then 5 mins for the food. Well we learned why the food came out so fast...... I ordered a beef fajita burrito. That's NOT what I got. I got what I can only describe as a midwest mom making burritos with leftover pot roast for "Taco Tuesday". Just go past this place. It's straight

Veggies instead of beans or rice - so good!

Jardin Corona is located in the back of a small u-shaped enclave of local businesses. Jardin Corona has been here for many years and is a towny haunt. It's a down-to-earth all around everyday good casual local Mexican place. I have been there many times. The food is consistently tasty! The veggies are great and I get them instead of beans/rice. Pros: The plates are huge and we never leave hungry. The chips and salsa are great. I like going at lunch. Cons: Not fancy or glitzy or trendy. -But that's a pro too! ;)

We absolutely recommend coming here and getting fajitas or enchiladas or Barbacoa quesadillas maybe all of the above if you bring enough people because it's all delicious! The restaurant itself is very well kept and clean. It does get a little bit loud, but that's only because it's always packed to the doors. Mama Betty's has a really fun outdoor patio space and always has great music playing. It's an awesome establishment to bring families kids Little League teams, office meetings whatever you want you won't disappoint anybody you bring. No matter who we have gotten as far as the wait staff they have all been extremely friendly, kind and helpful when it came to choosing something on the menu--everybody here has a wonderful and warm personality. They really have put together a home run of a restaurant and I hope that they stay around for a long time. Last, but not least the drinks are outstanding, and everything is very competitively and fairly priced. If you haven't tried it and are worried about it being packed come during the weekday at lunch.

Went on Sunday after Easter service because we were craving something a friend brought us during a…read morerecent meal train but felt it a bit lacking. First, the menu needs a rewrite for content and clarity. For example, buying fajitas doesn't list guacamole and based on size, single, for two and family you get more sides of rice or beans. There's no definition of how much actual meat you get and our server couldn't provide that information beyond a rough estimate. Second, the fajitas we got of family size and for two portions for 7 were not consistently cooked. We asked for medium rare and got about 25% at that with the ones in the center at a more well done. Again, the multiple tiny sides were more obnoxious than anything as it's legit beans and rice unless you want to upcharge. The cilantro lime rice tastes like nothing so skip that and go for abuelita rice which has a hint of flavor. Overall, the butter/gravy that go on the fajitas is the real winner but again a menu where you overbuy and misunderstand (that doesn't even list extras like guacamole or a simple small queso) was beyond frustrating. I would stick to them for one to possibly get a better cook.

You can see exactly how unbelievably oily it was in image.png. - Combo Fajitas: We went with the chicken and beef fajitas, and the beef was a genuinely terrible cut. - Guacamole: This was the biggest heartbreak. We are huge fans of fresh guac, but what we got was borderline spoiled and not fresh at all. You can take a look at image_2.png to see the sad state of it. Serving old guacamole at a Mexican restaurant is just bad vibes. - The Service: Our waiter completely ghosted us. He visited our table exactly twice: once to take the order and once to drop the plates. We sat there waiting to give some constructive feedback on the tragic guacamole, but he never returned. We received zero water refills and no extra chips. Meanwhile, the table right next to us won the server lottery. Their younger waiter was incredibly attentive, bringing them unprompted soda refills twice and keeping their chips fully stocked. We literally had to flag down their awesome waiter just to ask for our check so we could finally leave. - The Verdict: This was our first time here and it will absolutely be our last. The food missed the mark entirely, and the service was just awful. Save your money and go somewhere that actually respects the guac.

At Chuy's, I am a burrito person--and I've made peace with that. I've been eating at Chuy's for about 20 years, which in Austin time means I've watched entire neighborhoods rise, fall, and get rebranded as "districts." Through it all, Chuy's has stayed exactly what it is: a true Austin staple that doesn't try to impress you--it just feeds you really well. ( even though it's all over Texas now) Let's talk food. The steak burrito with boom-boom sauce is my standing order because I like spice with consequences. This thing is enormous. Not "big plate" big--this is a structural burrito. The redwoods of burritos. I get two meals out of it easily, sometimes three if I'm feeling emotionally responsible. Chuy's doesn't believe in portion control; it believes in abundance. Yes, everyone raves about the jalapeño ranch, and yes, they're correct. But what doesn't get enough credit are the chips: thin, light, super fresh, perfectly crisp. No thick, dusty triangles pretending to be artisanal. Pair that with their salsa--bright, tomato-forward, almost pico-like, never pasty--and suddenly you've eaten half a basket before the food even arrives. This is not your fault. This is design. Atmosphere: I love quiet places. Chuy's is not one. But it's boisterous in a way that feels alive, not chaotic. The artwork and design are genuinely original, full of heritage and stories--not corporate Tex-Mex cosplay. It feels like a place that knows who it is and doesn't need to explain itself. Service is usually good--kind, fun, efficient. But my server last night was exceptional. Not just polite, but attentive in a human way. She clocked that I'd had a long day and quietly turned dinner into an actual experience instead of a transaction. That kind of care matters. Bottom line: Chuy's is still doing what it's always done--serving big, flavorful Tex-Mex with personality, history, and zero apologies. I may be a taco guy everywhere else, but at Chuy's? Hand me the burrito. I know better.
