WARNING. All is good till it's time to coordinate moneys. We had had agreed on a out the door price. They lost their memory on that. Finance lady was good. Parts counter was unsuccessful at looking at a picture of the parts from one of their vendors web page. Ordered the wrong parts. Stay away from the service center. I had possession of my new bike 3 times, totaling weeks of ride time between may 29 - early September. Reason 1, wrong parts. 2nd reason, the couldn't get a power commander to work. They had to bring in a Harley guy from another shop to get my Suzuki powered up and a map downloaded. They phoned me at the end of August to tell me my bike was ready. Then the explanation of how its getting to much gas and that it needed to be dynode. I have numerous scratches on my gas tank and rear seat cowl. And they pinched a wire between my tank and frame. It was easy to see the wire hanging down 2 inches. This place is only good for their large inventory. Use it to shop and compare. Do not buy, sell, or trade with this place. Gonna cost me a couple thousand in repairs as a result of their lack of knowledge and respect. read more

I bought my first bike a few weeks ago from Freedom Cycles. I haven't taken my class yet so it hasn't gotten much attention. My husband and I were going to take it out one night and we started it then turned it off. We went to start it again and it wouldn't start again. He has a harley so we put it on his trickle charger. A week later on my days off work, we took it to a parking lot to try. On the first go I killed it so I went to restart it and it wouldn't start again. We had to get the car, go back to the house to get tools, take the seat off, which was not fun and jump it to get it going again. I'm glad I bought the warranty for the battery and am hoping that's all it is. I just got off the phone with them and I don't want to risk it leaving me stranged somewhere between Olathe and Grandview so they are nice enough to say they will come pick it up Tuesday. I'll keep you posted how that goes and if they get it fixed. The buying process: We were very happy with the parts girl there, I forgot her name. She went above and beyond to help us find an affordable windshield and side bags for my bike. The salesman, George was helpful. He showed us a lot of bikes and not a lot of pressure. We went back in to pick up the bike after the parts arrived and they did the installation, which was pricy. This is the first time I talked to someone that I thought wasn't particularly helpful. I told him I was here to pick up a bike. He said oh Congratulations and he walked off. I assumed he was telling someone to pull it around. So we walked around the store waiting and waiting, then I asked someone else and they said, OH you just have to go back to the service department. OK, thanks. So the service guy showed me everything I needed to know and we were on our way. The financing: The financing lady was great. Very organized. She even explained the warranties available and wasn't pushy in any of them to purchase. After we were finished she gave me a t-shirt and handed me a folder with all of my paperwork. She even left the paperwork that I would need for the DMV seperate to make it easier. I'll keep you posted on the battery concern though, but so far I'm happy with Freedom Cycle. EDIT: They made everything ok with the battery. They replaced it since I've had it less than a month and they put the warranty that I bought toward the new battery. read more

I bought a brand new Honda CBR1000rr from freedom cycle and ordered some accessories from the parts department. Staff said they will give me a call when the parts come in. My new motorcycle battery gave out after week. I called for service and the staff said to bring in the battery for a test. I also inquired about my accessories I ordered and they said it was in since last week. I didn't receive a call or message about it until I called about my battery giving out. I took the battery in for a test and the staff said it was faulty and I need to buy a new one. I explained about my warranty for new motorcycles. It was ignored and said I didn't pay for the in shop battery warranty but they will give me a discount. I went ahead and purchased a new battery for my new motorcycle because I wasn't being help. I also wanted to cancel one of my accessory order. A female at the counter was being rude and unprofessional about it because she was having a hard time cancelling the order on the register. I called Honda corporate and told them the situation. They are aware of the new motorcycle policy and said I will get my refund. I called multiple times and left multiple messages at freedom cycle and didn't get a return call or message. I called Honda corporate again and they told me to contact celeb from parts department for my refund. Caleb told me to bring it in to fix the warranty. I told him Honda corporate said I can take it to any Honda dealer which I wanted to do for my convenience. He insisted in bringing it in at freedom cycle. Seem like he wasn't sure if that was valid. He said he was going to call me back. So I waited a few days, followed up and left a message again without receiving a return call. I called Honda corporate once again and notify them about my situation and the general manager contacted me for my refund. I waited patiently and called multiple times to get my refund after two months of hassle, I finally got my refund for my new battery warranty I wasn't suppose to pay for initially. I hope no one ever experiences what I've been through at Freedom Cycles. I have taken my business elsewhere. Its sad when I have to call Honda corporate to make sure people are doing their jobs. Seems like management and communication is poor in Freedom Cycles. I must say the show room floor is amazing with variety of gear. Good luck and don't be fooled! read more

Parts department was very good. Helped us find handlebar clamp by sending us on to North KC store. Mike was quick to find the right part and the parts manager was right on top of everything. Have had bad experiences in the past with service department but the parts department on this day kicked butt. read more

Freedom Cycles is a huge Motorsports dealer. They have a good parts crew and can get parts for anything. They can sell you anything you want. However, because they sell so many different things and brands that they don't seem to specialize in any one thing. I prefer a smaller dealer specializing in what I have and what I need. read more
