Normally I would do it myself, but injured my knee recently, so bending and sitting are quite painful for a while. Anyway, I get transferred to the service department and was greeted with hostility (always a fun start) moved past it and asked if they were allowed to put in a magnetic drain plug. The guy starts ranting on how it's a bad idea and they don't recommend it, not sure if they can do it and tells me to wait for the oil change because it doesn't need it yet. I tell him, I want to schedule the oil change in 2 weeks and will be near my service mileage then. He continues to tell me they would want me to wait longer and yeah there is availability, but told me I don't ride it enough to have that mileage yet. Um.... Okay guy that doesn't know what I do and it is my machine, if I want to service it 100 miles early, who cares?! That's my choice. So called another dealer in town and was treated properly.
