We were concerned as we watched the technician and asked him how long he'd been with Flynn-Aire. He answered 8 months. ( for this level of expertise we paid $350) After a cursory check on our system the technician said everything was fine, and he left. Two hours later we went upstairs where to our horror water was dripping from the unit in our attic along the ceiling, onto our carpeting and into our chandelier. After two phone calls Flynn-Aire dispatched a second technician who glued the pipe that had been damaged by technician #1 and told us we would be contacted by Flynn since they had "a Sheetrock Guy" who could repair the damage. And then - crickets. No call from Flynn-Aire. Today is August 7, we have repeatedly called to speak to the owner, Bob Von Hagen, but he obviously has "Colleen" running interference and we have not heard from him. We have pictures to support our statement. We leave the decision on whether or not to use Flynn-Aire for your air conditioning needs to you. Count us as a former client.

They did everything as we wanted it to be done and were very receptive of any concerns we had. Our previous, and first central AC unit, was very poorly done. Tom and Frank corrected everything that was wrong. We were having pavers being placed so they came first and removed the condensers out side and then came back after the pavers were placed and finished the installation. What sold them to me was that Tom told that he could not promise that it would not break down, because anything mechanical can break, but he promised that if it did he would make it right. I believe that he is a man of his word. He is now doing my routine maintenance on the units he installed. The price was outrageously good and work has been superb. In 2018 just prior to a really hot and extremely humid July 4th holiday weekend my Mitsubishi A/C…read morestopped working. With each visit by my local HVAC outfit things were continuing to spiral out of control. Each guy they sent to solve whatever the problem was appeared as if it was their very first service call. Yes that's right, on the job training experimenting with my $12,000 almost brand new 3 year old state of the art computerized Mitsubishi! Finally, I had enough!! I began searching for a new HVAC company. I remembered that my family had been using Comfort Control in East Northport N.Y., but was told that normally they would not travel to Nassau County. I called and spoke with Samantha. I explained what I had been dealing with for well over a week and that I really needed help. She said since my family were longtime customers they would come over and have a look. The next day a gentlemen named Anthony showed up. I explained what had previously been done which included bypassing Mitsubishi's internal water pump and jury-rigging the computer board to force the fan to blow warm air even though the unit had shut itself down. Anthony got on the phone with Mitsubishi and began to attempt to first undo the damage which had been done. He was calm, professional and courteous and explained to me he'd get to the bottom of this. After about 2 hours he did just that!! He then began to troubleshoot what the real problem was. This didn't take much time as he discovered a clogged drain pipe and explained one of the first things any company should look for is just that!! He then blew the drain pipe clean using pressurized air. So for well over a week I was sweating my ass off because the local idiots couldn't think to try that first along with charging me hundreds upon hundreds of dollars, which I did get back thanks to a comprehensive report that Anthony wrote up for me to show them. I will always remember and be grateful that Comfort Control bailed me out of a very frustrating situation. Fast forward to Tuesday Aug 25, 2020 and my Mitsubishi shut down for the first time since back in 2018. Called the local outfit and insisted they send one of their two senior technicians. On Friday Aug 28, 2020 they responded and were not quite sure what exactly was going on however they were able to get the unit working again. I got right on the phone with Samantha and explained that I really do not have much confidence in the locals and could she send someone over to give me a second opinion. She said if the unit shuts down again she would do her best to accommodate me. I want to emphasize that over approximately a 40-year period I have used more than a half-dozen HVAC businesses in my area and discovered the hard way that each one is worse than the next and that finding a really good one is nearly impossible. Comfort Control is just that. I cannot say enough good things about Samantha, her father Bill, and Anthony. Besides all that they are just very nice folks who have helped myself and my family with all sorts of referrals having nothing to do with heating and cooling. Unfortunately for me they only serve Suffolk County, NY.

I understand that this is a very busy season but not a call or email for just an appointment is not good. I do not understand why some companies even offer the option to fill in for a request on their web site. I filled out three other requests and with a day they provided me with an appointment. It's a shame because I liked the puppy sitting with the owner! Update on 07/1 I called again and this time I spoke with Christian who set up an appointment for 7/03 between 1-3pm.
