The guy at the counter, V had a hard time finding my vehicle in their system. He finally found what he thought were the right parts. Rang it up before I could ask questions, was annoyed that he had to bring it up on the screen again and wouldn't help me carry the very heavy items to my car right outside the door. Told me I could make two trips. I got home and realized V sold me the wrong parts. I looked them up on their website, found the right parts and went back. I showed him the right parts for the rotors on my phone and he asked me to look up the pad's too. I told him that that was kinda his job. He hopefully found the right pads and was left to carry them out in two trips again with no "sorry" or any kind of apology for the huge inconvenience it is when the customer gets the wrong parts. I've have had better experiences from some of their other staff but you never know who you will get. From now on I will find the parts I need on their website and not rely on anyone there having any competence or courtesy.

Very helpful, super knowledgeable, and respectful. He even tested my alternator. Very pleased with the service i received at this store. He was so kind and humble he wouldnt allow me to give him a tip. Give them all raises.

Brian and crew are first rate, affordable, and actually bring significant value to their customers given their expertise! I purchased a 2026 Audi SQ8 Prestige from Audi of Santa Barbara here a few months ago. Sales process was absolutely first class, but my first attempt at having them service the car was an abomination ... I'll just leave it at that. This review is about Brian and crew at German Performance, some 40 miles (not 90 miles) from where I reside. I called them two days ago to examine and correct the botched installation of aftermarket ceramic pads I had performed by AOSB, and they took me right in yesterday; no hesitation whatsoever and diagnosed the problem, corrected it, and I picked up the car today. This, with their garage and engine bays absolutely packed with other cars. Going forward, German Performance will be my Audi service shop for all my 2026 SQ8 needs ... especially oil changes. I categorically disregard Audi's recommended oil change every 10,000 miles. IMHO, it should be every 5,000. Same with tranny fluid, etc., etc. Oh, BTW, Audi of Santa Barbara charged me $400 in LABOR for my break-in oil change!!!! German Performance will charge $85 going forward (with me supplying oil, filter, washer, plug, and turbo O-ring). A no-brainer to keep these guys close during what, will hopefully, be a long enjoyable driving experience with my new SQ8 Prestige! Highly recommended for my fellow Audi (and other German badge) owners here in SLO County and beyond!

Before I…read morewent to see Donnie, I did a lot of research on what was the problem with my car, and I scanned the check engine light with my code reader (i'm a diy mechanic). I found that my radiator needed to be replaced. I went on the internet and researched how much a radiator replacement would cost, and got a high and low end estimate of how much people typically pay. I even shopped around, and got opinions in town. The job is fairly easy to do, but requires some tools, patience, and a way of safely disposing antifreeze. Armed with all my info, I went to Atascadero Radiator and spoke to Donnie. He took one look at the radiator and announced that it needed to be replaced, correctly diagnosing the problem as a crack that couldn't be patched. I told him the truth that I was on a road trip and that I was stuck in town. I did so wanting to know how this would affect the price he would quote me. Donnie didn't take the bait, and (surprisingly!) quoted me at twenty dollars above the lowest possible figure I could find, and well below other quotes in the town. I commend and respect his pricing, expertise, and honesty. His shop is messier than a pre-school classroom, but he gives off an air of thorough knowledge and hard earned experience. The work was done very quickly after receiving the part the next day, and I was on my way home. Thanks Donnie for making a crappy situation bearable, and not pilfering my wallet. I highly recommend Donnie's work. Oh, and say hi to his dog, he's a good side kick.
